It is always better, for a quick response to have your firearm on your body. A purse or backpack will delay your draw. In a gunfight, milliseconds can make a big difference in the outcome.
Keeping a gun in your bag is just giving purse snatchers a free gun

I suggest looking into a uubgear. I have two kids, I hate carrying a purse. But I have a leg holster purse from them. I absolutely love it. Wore it through both my pregnancies and still carry this way because I don't fit into my prepregnancy clothes yet.
If you wear jeans you could use an ankle holster
It’s a lot harder to conceal carry with a “large stomach” so I’d (not to offend anyone) suggest you go and get fit, it’ll be a lot easier to conceal a firearm.

Best way to carry a hidden gun is by putting it close to your open carry gun, keeps the eyes busy and they wont even notice it

Don't while carrying with an appendix carry holster. Look into a purse holster or ankle if you want to wear a crop top.

it doesn’t have to be many people in the south carry on their hip, but in big cities, it’s better for it to be concealed
Because a lot of folk will try to cause trouble for you if they know you're armed. Nobody needs to have the swat team called on them when they're buying groceries.

I don’t conceal, unless required to by law. Why? I want people to get used to seeing people legally carrying a firearm. I want people to not be alarmed when they see people with firearms. Does it make you a target. No it doesn’t. I actually teach firearms LTC/CHL for four states. The truth is open carry does not in fact make you target.
I'm fat ... I've given up ... I wear a big shirt over another shirt and wear outside of the pants or a shoulder holster. I live in Florida and get more looks wnen I wear a sports jacket than I do if my gun prints

Self defense, defense of your family. Imagine a mass shooter going into a mall and you just being defenseless and just hiding and praying your family is safe while a less than human person is on a suicide mission to try to kill as many people as possible. Now imagine that same scenario but you (a trained firearm owner) takes out the less than human person before he kills anyone, therefore saving lives.
A better tip:get combat training so you dont just get your gun taken away from you!

Idk if it’s bc I’m from California but carry a gun isn’t like normal… people in San Francisco have pepper spray, a small tasers, or keychain that gets super sound when you pull it. It seem very unsafe to carry a gun just because you could literally shoot someone out of nowhere. In the USA gun violence in a huge problem and I think the normalization of carrying a firearm is very dangerous. Furthermore if that person gets robbed someone could take the gun before they have a chance to use it, I’m not saying they should use it but at least take it out for ‘intimation’. 20 or more kids die daily in the usa from gun violence. Stay safe don’t use gun unless you are a officer and someone is about to fucking attack someone and it’s the only way to stop someone, or your about to get killed or attacked. (This is all coming from a 13 year old who has bin in many school lockdowns due to active shooter or dangerous people with suspected weapons)
