The Wesley brothers were a gift from God to the church in their time. They are just an example of how we can walk with God in such a real way. I am blessed and encouraged.
In our modern 'hip church' I miss the doctrinal Wesleyan hymns terribly. Even our high church is using contemporary choruses that lack the solid doctrine. Very tragic for our church world.

Absolutely. Our suburban church here in Sydney Australia has people from some 60 ethnicity or more worshiping together. Not only that everyone mixes with each other. Local first time vistors will always come back to stay. Check out Parkside Church Sydney.
Here in the deep south, (Savannah actually, where John and Charles had a bit of trouble) churches seldom have such a mix of races and ages. I could watch this all day and drink in the beauty of this mosaic of loving Christians singing to God. Alleluia!!

In NE Ohio I grew up as Church of God in Christ and now as an old white lady living in the South, I miss integrated fellowship. It's a painful loss to me. I have to hold on to God's perfect love for us even when people reject me.
