So, to be clear; I can use any custom toppo for the head or the body and it will still maintain all Metahuman functionality inside UE as long as I maintain rig pose angles and am willing to polish the blendshapes?
Yes it is correct, you can do all of that. Metapipe for its current update (2.1) provides only the head transfer (Tho it is hareder than the body) You need to do the body process manually. However Body process only requires the skinning transfer because it doesnt have any blendshapes and also you need to match the seam area. In the next updates there will be proper workflow for both.
Hi Uzay, I am glad to see a UA-cam channel is detected from Metahumn, Can you please do a tutorial series for creating a Metahuman character then update the body shape and make a new outfit using Marvelous Designer or Zbrush, then substance Painter exporting it to Unreal Engine 5.4 to be ready to be used in Game. That will be great Thanks
