#soldering #repair - Розваги
I remember the days when Joey was just trying to fix things and figure out how things worked. Now I see professional and brilliant work!!! You are a hard worker! Very happy to see all your progress!! Keep going!)
He's really good at motivating me to start my own repair channel or even repair shop, he's giving such a positive aura.
Thankyou Olcom, appreciate the kind words! Practice practice practice :)
a perfect ebay listing, opened before by a butcher, multiple issues but a great recovery from you Joey! nice!
Joey Does Profit
Lets gooooooooo!
You always do such clean work. Really want to learn how to solder. It would really expand my PC/Console building/repair business.
Always enjoy good honest people putting out good content while thoroughly enjoying themselves.
You know it’s a good day when Joey Does Tech Uploads this series 😊
You should totally make a video showing all your equipment
Woohoo, another victory!
Lets go Stan!
Love these vids joey. Makes we wanna splash a load of money on tools and a soldering iron and lose loads of cash buying stuff I can't fix lol
Thankyou!
That looked an absolute pain in the arse. Good work!
Nice one man, great content and very clean soldering as usual.
6:12, you just gotta love when Joey 'checks' the wobbly pin by using the multimeter... on A DIFFERENT PIN! :D... Good job, anyway on the fix. Well deserved Joey! :)
I thought that as well, but then realised he was showing another earth pin reacting to the meter.
Crazy that you were able to re-ball such a tiny chip and the thing still actually booted!
I am loving this series. Sadly it would seem repairing ebay items and reselling them is a losing proposition. I wish there were a better system for preventing so much e-waste that would also benefit the consumer. Sure, you have the occasional talented solder junky business in big cities (Luis Rossman comes to mind). But it would be really beneficial to society for this kind of repair to be another one of the common trades that everyone uses.
Congrats man. I wish every company that calls themselves repair shops would really care about someone's stuff like you do. Keep it up mate. I hope the green streak continues 🎉
Absolutely love your content man, much love.
Thankyou :)
i think the diodes on the HDMI port are for protection against static discharge. So it will work without but the chance is higher to damage the hdmi output chip.
How far have u come amazing work joey one my fav channels by far been watching since beginning
Thank you, appreciate that so much :)
Serious effort good one
Great fix 👍
Great job Sr, crazy how it ended up in the state it was in though.
Yay another video!
Nice “little transitions” on the video editing 👍
Nice fix! Really like watching these as it is good to see broken or faulty items/device revived and turned into working ones :).
One thing I do note - you're not taking into account postage costs of sending these out to buyers (assuming you sell these back on eBay as working consoles). Does that mean you list as collection only, or do you sell on some other platform - based on the weight of a console, as well as packaging/bubble wrap/boxes etc, you're going to need to reserve about £10 or so from each sale for postage costs.
Buyer usually pays for shipping, unless listed as free shipping. So the price of some shipping will already be included in his purchase costs, but not necessarily in his sale price.
This is a great point. Up until recently I was charging the customer for shipping, but found that my items sell a lot quicker if I include free shipping. The good thing is that I usually low ball my prices on Sally's Spreadsheet, so if shipping costs £7 on an Xbox One S, I usually make that back through the profit of the sale being greater than the spreadsheet :)
Good fix!
Great job
Thank you for sharing again 😀👏
I wish near my place have people like you so that I can give them fix my broken item with a pay of course. Sadly Ive to send to the big city to get something repaired.
Joey I always have an issue buying used because I never know what condition it is in as not knowing the previous owner but if I was to buy something from you I would be more than happy buying used. You clearly care about myself as the end buyer and that is all I want.
Thank you! I try to take pride in selling what I fix. There will be mistakes of course, but I'll try my best to ensure they don't happen and learn from it!
This Xbox had a nive variety of faults. Nice one! And Sally is happy as well. What a good day.
Thankyou Leon! An amazing day. Hopefully it continues into next week haha!
@@JoeyDoesTech I'll keep my fingers crossed!
Good Lord above us
Trevor says that and nice fix
Damn you, Fifa, for breaking all these consoles 😠. Great fix as always!
nice repairs, that was a bit messed up
Someone in the Discord bought a HDMI broken one off eBay and was delivered a donor console with missing components that had been taken to repair other devices. eBay is a nightmare usually
Into the money. Joey eats well tonight.
I think you need another column with potential parts cost. I know you have parts boards, but would have been nice to know how much it would have cost if you didn't have donor boards. It would not be counted in the final count, but for information would have been good to see how much actually it would have cost to fix.
Nice video ! Are you happy ofr your new soldering iron ? I juts get it yesterday and seems to be good !
Thanks! It's still actually too early. I'd like to give it a bit more time and use some more tips :)
You really need reballing stencils for the common chips you replace
I know! Thing is that chip is so small I don't know if it would be worse lol. There's also so many different stencils and board holders that I actually don't know which ones to use! Any suggestions? :)
Good job
Man alive does every console in the UK come preloaded with Fifa?
Nice fix. Did the ad also say untested? The posters should have to say how much it was mangled (including pictures). I'd would like to try to fix stuff but broken stuff is too expensive for me to even try. I tried to buy some Gameboy Advances SP to fix but I would get out bid.
I thought the same, but take a look at faulty Nintendo DS Lites. You can usually buy them for around £10 faulty, and they're great experience.
@@JoeyDoesTech thanks I'll look into those.
Really good job.
Thank you :)
There are some people who should never be inside a console or any kind of tech… what a mess.. ive had my share of “ebay” consoles and each one was rode hard and put away wet. But in the end all got a new lease on life.
your solder game has gone a long way well done
Thankyou bud :)
As well as £90 you also saved a very unhappy Xbox from the landfill, so great work. Just one thought though, those missing diodes bothered me. Could you not steal some from a donor board? I imagine they are ESD protection which is common around HDMI and USB ports etc? So while the machine will work it will be more susceptible to a failure in the future further up the line.
Thank you! You raise a great point. That's correct, it's more about protection in the future saving the chip should anything happen.
@@JoeyDoesTech No worries, oh and congrats on the new job. You will do well as you clearly have an aptitude for this!
Joeyyy, I was actually thinking about this series bud. I got myself 10 nintendo switches and plan to repair them with your voice over in my head as I repair them xD
How much did that cost you!
@@Sijkselk 400€ +15€ shipping
WOW Nice! Would love to hear about the results!
Just curious. Have you actually sold many of these devices afterwards through Ebay? If so, did you get more or less than you were expecting to get for them? Would be interesting to see an updated spreadsheet with actual resale values 😁
This is a great shout. Maybe I’ll include that information in the future ☺️ Every item I’ve fixed in these videos (which I know is not many!) has been sold via eBay :) I’d say all the prices are pretty spot on to be honest!
8:50 cant you just shove the solder wick into the ground holes to clear them out?
Great question. Sometimes the boards can be VERY thick, and unless you have a soldering iron that is extremely costly (thus more powerful) it's really difficult to get the solder out of the ground holes. It's why I tend to use the solder sucker, as it's quicker and less stress :)
@@JoeyDoesTech makes sense :)
messy desk? check coders desk xD
😂😂
Honestly who takes it all apart and then bangs it on eBay 🤔🤦♂️
Hey Joey, wich flux do you use?
Kingbo RMA 218 :) Link in the description through AliExpress
bro please fix somethog else cuz i cant see you repair phones pc etc only console
Again id be saying to the seller that they clearly have fked the board and need to compensate you etc ....
Is this a donor board that someone sold? Oh dear it's all messed up
Robot talking..... r o b o t t a l k I n g....
Wow they way the Esd ic was wrecked anybody think Travis from the Cod3r’s channel had been in it, as we all know it’s always Travis’s fault & he did it.
