I know this is an older video, but I was wondering if you could explain how the calibration update can fix the parallax. I tried using the custom calibration settings (where it asks you to tap the red dots), but it does not seem to help the parallax at all. Any tips on calibrating it? the parallax calibration makes sense if you dont move your head from the regular position you want to have when you use your display. once you have it you can make the callibration touching the diplay with the pen where the tip of the nib is supossed to be to you to not see the cristal space between the dots and your pen nib tip.

Good review, but as someone who bought Artisul D16 I have to warn people that although it works great, it does not function with any docking stations, and the cables are horribly set up. The USB is much longer then the HDMI, but they split in the middle so you end up with terrible Cable Management, no matter what. Its a pain they could easily fix and I hope they do.

Very good review teoh! i really like how you've added color accuracy and windows support in your tablet tests, and those notes about glitches and even fixes are fantastic. Also you're one of the few reviewers I've seen who includes how hot the device gets, which is an important part of the experience. I know you mentioned how you didn't want to test using more software but please consider adding Paint tool Sai in your reviews. It's one of the more popular programs for cartoonists and I think has more problems with drivers (like Huion's) so it could be a deal breaker for a lot of people. That said, I know how long it takes you to shoot your vids so I understand if you don't want to add it to your tests.
Thanks for colour gamut and jitter testing on this - good info all round. Unfortunately my 'inking' tends to be very susceptible to jitter, so this isn't going to be a viable tablet for me. Feels like this is a common downfall of non-Wacom devices, really, so I'll have to hope that a new generation of digitisers isn't that far away...
Hi Parka, did you have any problem with brushes transparency? I couldn't get a 100% opacity stroke no matter how hard I drew. It is ok when I off the " Pressure of Sensitivity". And it didn't work on my Photoshop CS 6 64bits, only on 32bits....
hi! which one do you rocommend: HUION kamvas pro 13 or ARTISUL D16? Both are in the same price right now, and i'm in doubt about because 1- the size of the screens (D16 has 15.6 against 13), 2- the laminate screen and 120% adobe RGB gama on Kamvas pro (The Artisul one has 76%). I have a issue with d16 driver. It doesnt have menu and tablet is not detected by computer and driver also without driver tablet working better. I dont know what to do know. (Edit): I forgot to mansion about, there is no 3.0 driver on artisul website, and where i should download it in this case.

I was thinking about one of these alternative tablets because I had so much trouble with a Cintiq that I tried to run with my gaming laptop, and ended up buying a mobile studio pro which I can also --- with great difficulty and awkwardness--- hook up to my laptop when I want Cintiq- like performance. But I had been informed that if you had ever installed the wacom driver on a machine, it would make it very challenging to run some other tablets drivers (it might have even been one of your reviews that i heard this) so it's really interesting to hear you say that installing the wacom driver gives you pressure control in some applications. I'd love to hear more about this, since despite the mobile studio pro being a great self contained the tablet it really is a colossal pain in the backside to use as a Cintiq.
+sdovas If you are using Mobile Studio Pro, you should have the drivers already installed. Sometimes having Wacom drivers on non Wacom tablets or pen displays may interfere with other drivers, sometimes not. But Wacom driver is needed mostly to get pressure sensitivity in Adobe Illustrator
How do they get away with saying 94% adobe rgb on their website when you show it here as 84%?! I bought an xp pen screen before and the color range on it was shockingly bad, I don't understand how a cheap monitor can display colors better.
It's like some companies claim 10 hours battery life but in fact it's only half. Anyway, 84% Adobe is still very good. 99% Adobe RGB screens are more expensive than 99% sRGB screens, and most people don't see the difference anyway for the type of work they do.
I have a problem!! My cursor not drawing in right place! on photoshop cc but it"s ok on Clip studio paint. I download driver from artisul website and it not work. I use windows10 home(1709) and device is Acer switch alpha 12. How i Fix or setting?...T_T

Better than photoshop? Bro, how is your workflow? If you want not super fricking expensive that still hold up extremly well in terms of workflow you should try clip studio. It really is outstanding.

Which one do you prefer between this one and the Xp-pen 15.5? What I can tell from your reviews is that this one wins for build quality, has a stand and more shortcuts, but the 15.6 has better drivers, price and pen performance (at least on Windows)
XP-Pen has better driver but Artisul has better everything. And drawing performance is quite good too despite the diagonal line wobble. The deal breaker for me for the XP-PEN is the colour reproduction of the screen which is good, but not good enough for the type of work I do -- I edit videos and photos so I need a reasonably colour accurate screen.

You can only use stylus made from the same brand. The screen can be used in either mirror or extended. XP Pen has better support for dual screen compared to Artisul
I have not tested the new Wacom tablets. As for the tips durability, I cannot say how long they will last because it depends on how often you use the pen. But I will not worry about it because eight replacement tips are included. And they are not that expensive to buy even if you use up all.
I see. I just read some comments by those who bought new wacom and who already had older version for a long time, and they mostly say a tip ends in a few days with using it with the same loading when in older version it would last at least a month or a few. About the price I could not tell, but availability depends on your country and your activity sure, that's not cheap for all, especially if it really ends so fast. Good thing is that in wacom they have straight pieces of plastic for nibs (not like Huion etc. with some hole in it) so some can use anything instead of the real nib.
+LardBeepiqwnox You can check out Stillman and Birn sketchbooks. Ink is good on smooth surfaces, such as Vellum surface. Or check out Leda Art Supplies sketchbook. I've a review on that. It's good for pen and ink too.

I just got mine in the mail yesterday I'm having a strange issue in Photoshop where matter what I try to draw I only achieve perfectly straight lines that start where my pen hit and end where it lifts
+Phoenix Hatcher It sounds like the shift button is engaged. Try using with other software to see if the problem is still there. Try Medibang Paint Pro or Krita. Or ask Artisul for support.
Really nice review, also thanks to test Krita and affinity, my two application in 2d (if you tested even zbrush and blender was more rehab perfect), on Krita site they states artilus don't work with Krite, but seems are totally wrong. I was prone to buy a wacom cintiq pro, but this review change my point of view about, all in all I don't need tilt, on my wacom tablet I never use this feature. My only concern is assistance and driver support over time with new os release, my intuos 3 still working after a decade

It's good that they are releasing a better quality tablet because the XP Pen 15.6 does not have fantastic colours (good enough but not fantastic). If I manage to get a review unit, I will surely review that.

Would you recommend this for digital painting and fantasy illustration? The company says it can be powered by just a laptop so for me it seems like a good investment to work on the road. Unless you can recommend anything else of the sort.

My workflow is usually simple cartoon style illustration, newspaper type. Clip Studio does work better than Photoshop when it comes to drawing

Not sure about that. At the time of review, it was 2048 pressure levels.

Grey? It will go black in sleep mode. And wake when it detects signal again.

+Dustin Spencer You can use either extended or mirror mode, just like any other monitor. How dual monitor mode works is as explained in the video.

@@zooropa414 You can just use dual display mode. Each monitor will show different things, but you can move the mouse from one monitor to the other.

Krita works fine as well as correl painter I've looked for a while and it seems it occurs on several occasions with an array of different tablets

Krita is a bit finicky in terms of functionality when used with pen displays. Not all will work properly.

(I don't really use tilt anyway, and about driver, wacom sucks often too). And I saw XP Artist 16 pro has just been released! With 94% adobe rgb and 8194 pen pressure. Am waiting you to review that one :)
It's good that they are releasing a better quality tablet because the XP Pen 15.6 does not have fantastic colours (good enough but not fantastic). If I manage to get a review unit, I will surely review that.

Would you recommend this for digital painting and fantasy illustration? The company says it can be powered by just a laptop so for me it seems like a good investment to work on the road. Unless you can recommend anything else of the sort.
