I'm really sad that it was such shit. The thing I was afraid of the most was that other people wouldn't like it, and then Marvel Netflix would start to go downhill. But as long as ppl liked it, it doesn't matter if I'm devastated at what they did to my favorite character. I mean Punisher was barely in the show. Most of it was about the other boring and unlikable characters. And the ptsd vet side story was just ridiculous.
Exactly, it hit Aaron so much harder because he could picture it with his own children. That's why I love BlindWave so much, they are so real, and not ashamed to show their feelings during their reactions.
I wasn't used to seeing that kind of emotion being presented in reactions before I started watching them. It was cool finally seeing their reaction to it, because it's really an emotional scene in general.
It's one of the best scenes I've seen in TV ever. The last time I watched a scene that emotional it must have been in Breaking Bad with one of Jesse's tragedies.
I love that Jon Bernthal can go from playing such a creep in TWD, to playing this badass guy who can move me to tears with his tragedy. Seeing Aaron struggling made me lose the little control I was trying to keep over my feelz. You guys are awesome.
Julieanna Clark that's range... And John said he drew on his own experiences as a father... His explanation of his "process" in that scene is fantastic.
even if punisher said "ya know" i felt it took nothing away from the monologue, i feel like it felt like a real actual person was saying it instead of an actor
*SPOILERS, MAYBE* Frank's fatigue was a symptom of his PTSD. It stopped him from reading to his daughter. He was traumatized by what he saw and did in the military. Then he came home and watched his family get slaughtered. From the x-ray we saw that he got shot in the frontal lobe, the part of the brain responsible for judgement and impulse control - essentially, the seat of reason and free will. All that together would turn anyone into a serial killer. He's not evil, he's broken, and Matt's right: there is still goodness in him.
Nothing spoiled, this is never clearly stated in the show IIRC, and I figured this out on my first viewing based on what they've already seen. But I'll be a good sport and tag it :)
this is late but i dont think the part of him having PTSD is true he specifically says in his monologue in the cemetery scene that him killing and seeing his buddies die and his work in the war didn't bother or scare him as well as how saying he has PTSD to get out of the trial case is disrespectful to the people who actually have PTSD the war did get him hella tired since during his tours it was just non stop work i dont think he got ptsd but his family getting slaughtered shortly after he got back home was what broke him which makes it even more powerful since that alone broke him and not the war btw spot on with the x-ray stuff
Watch Aaron from 7:30-9:40. I am no a father nor do i need to be to have the empathy to feel the sorrow of the punisher in that scene. i caught the tear that ran down Aarons face and just understood. if i could give multiple likes for Aarons reaction to that scene alone, i would. alas i am limited to one. Aaron, this like is for you.
Aaron tearing up made me cry too. Spectacular reaction for this episode. I honestly feel like the Punisher Arc WAS Season 2 for me. Like these 4 episodes were enough and I would have been happy if I never saw another. The rest of the season is great don't get me wrong, but DAMN!!
I agree, imo after Matt sent Elektra away that should have been it for her and the Hand until Defenders, all they did was take away focus from what we actually wanted to see, The Punisher, because honestly at the end Punisher became a sideplot.
When Nesbitt said, "take him out", I thought he meant that they were supposed to kill the dog. I was like, "Nooooooooo!!! 😢😭😢😭" but then they let the dog live, and I started breathing again.
Oh my god.... everytime I see the Punisher on screen, I orgasm.... still one of the best casting choices ever. Jon Bernthal *kills* it (pun intended) as Frank, cannot wait for his own series.
you can tell that Eric and Calvin really enjoyed punisher's monologue as they were watching but it really hit home for Aaron because he's a father. (i haven't finished watching the video, i'm just making an observation as they're watching the monologue)
Great Video guys, love Erics and Calvins reaction (9:55) so awesome that they get excited like little kids. I was the same way when I watched this series. Keep up the great work guys.
That damn monolog was so good that I come back to it often after all these years and I'm still blown away. Bernthall seriously deserved some kind of award for that .
At this time you could realise that this show is one of the three best shows that we have now on the panel. I recomend you for sure STRANGER THINGS but not 4 reaction, just for living a incredible experience. Greetings from Spain¡ Amazing reaction as usual
Some idiots dislike videos that aren't reactions to what they want us to react to. It's unfortunate but if it makes them feel like they are making any kind of difference they can temper-tantrum the dislike button all they want.
They probably also dislike videos because they want you guys to do more than one/week of that show, even though you guys have stated that you don't have the time in your current schedule. Haha...people can be "special," that way.
Could/Will you guys ever do a video showing your Pop Vinyl collection? Because for new people to the channel(not me) and pop lovers(me) would love to see which ones/how many you have
"YOUR FAMILY?!?! WHO CARES!!!" *BLAM* Wrong thing to say to a man who not only lost his entire family, but knows guns as well. Anyway, I also cried when Frank gave that monologue as well. And I also say that Jon Bernthal humanized The Punisher. You know, I kind of remember many years ago when I was with my younger brother and sister (their twins), along with our two aunts (their twins as well), that we drove to a large building with many other family members to meet and pick up the men-&-women who were in the Middle East. My dad was among them, and he had no idea that we were there. When 'we' were told to go, 'we' all ran to them and my dad was totally shocked when he saw us. :( My dad passed away back in March of 2008 due to complications from surgery that he had from a road-side bomb somewhere in the Middle East.
Great reactions, as always guys! You need to react to Stranger Things. Fab show, right up your alley and Calvin already has a shirt to go with it (D&D).
I think that monologue played a big part in the decision to give The Punisher his own show.
SIgh..... I can't even express how disappointed I am about the show. It is so boring.
Eh I thought it was pretty darn good
John Doe I like it, but there could be better action peices
I'm really sad that it was such shit. The thing I was afraid of the most was that other people wouldn't like it, and then Marvel Netflix would start to go downhill. But as long as ppl liked it, it doesn't matter if I'm devastated at what they did to my favorite character. I mean Punisher was barely in the show. Most of it was about the other boring and unlikable characters. And the ptsd vet side story was just ridiculous.
It would have been so much better if the writers and director of Daredevil S2 worked on Punisher's show. Soooooo much better.
Jon Bernthal's performance in the cemetery scene was absolutely phenomenal. So glad he's being brought back for his own series.
Crazy 😭😭
Ah these were the days…
@@airsoft1238 pre everything getting cancelled 😭
Aaron. Damn man. You could see it. Castle's story, for him, as a father. That was hitting his core. Damm
Exactly, it hit Aaron so much harder because he could picture it with his own children. That's why I love BlindWave so much, they are so real, and not ashamed to show their feelings during their reactions.
im a father and cried, no shame 😭
You don't need to be a father to cry that moment, just need to be a human bro
I wasn't used to seeing that kind of emotion being presented in reactions before I started watching them. It was cool finally seeing their reaction to it, because it's really an emotional scene in general.
It's one of the best scenes I've seen in TV ever. The last time I watched a scene that emotional it must have been in Breaking Bad with one of Jesse's tragedies.
Arron, as a Dad myself Punisher monologue crushed me. Your tears are nothing to be ashamed about.
I love that Jon Bernthal can go from playing such a creep in TWD, to playing this badass guy who can move me to tears with his tragedy. Seeing Aaron struggling made me lose the little control I was trying to keep over my feelz. You guys are awesome.
well luckily there will be a Punisher Netflix series this portrayal of him is much better then the movies
honestly Shane is a better man than Rick
Rick basically became what shane was in season 6 , only thing is Shane doesn't take shit from anyone .
Julieanna Clark that's range... And John said he drew on his own experiences as a father... His explanation of his "process" in that scene is fantastic.
Shane was the best character in TWD Jon bernthal is a great actor
Watching Aaron looking at that monologue through the lens of a father kind of fucked me up.
Same
same, I almost cried
***** I didn't cry either, but it was really emotional.
Yep.... That got me.
Yeah, that scene got me bad too.
Does anyone else remember when the most R rated thing in the MCU was the Hulk kicking a guy into a tree?
Well ya know in Iron Man he straight up murders people.
+The Hive ikr
+0dd Pharo And Its like Daredevil has a role against no killing.
+The Hive *Rule
+The Hive FUCK. I mean a rule against killing
even if punisher said "ya know" i felt it took nothing away from the monologue, i feel like it felt like a real actual person was saying it instead of an actor
Rocky says it a lot as well
*SPOILERS, MAYBE*
Frank's fatigue was a symptom of his PTSD. It stopped him from reading to his daughter. He was traumatized by what he saw and did in the military. Then he came home and watched his family get slaughtered.

Nice job spoiling bro.
Nothing spoiled, this is never clearly stated in the show IIRC, and I figured this out on my first viewing based on what they've already seen. But I'll be a good sport and tag it :)
I dont see the point of your comment
Hes not evil. No one who kills murderers, rapers and generally anyone who have hurted another person is a bad person
this is late but i dont think the part of him having PTSD is true
he specifically says in his monologue in the cemetery scene that him killing and seeing his buddies die and his work in the war didn't bother or scare him as well as how saying he has PTSD to get out of the trial case is disrespectful to the people who actually have PTSD
the war did get him hella tired since during his tours it was just non stop work
i dont think he got ptsd but his family getting slaughtered shortly after he got back home was what broke him which makes it even more powerful since that alone broke him and not the war
btw spot on with the x-ray stuff
Watch Aaron from 7:30-9:40. Aaron, this like is for you.
Aaron held that shit in like a champ 👏🏾
he really did lol
Jon Bernthal was amazing in this episode. The whole series really.
I had a feeling tears would be shed this episode. Great reaction guys
He should have gotten nominated for an Emmy for this episode. You guys are going to find out what happened to his family
I feel like they should have had the Punisher and Elektra story lines in separate seasons.
Punisher is getting his own serie
I agree, imo after Matt sent Elektra away that should have been it for her and the Hand until Defenders, all they did was take away focus from what we actually wanted to see, The Punisher, because honestly at the end Punisher became a sideplot.
No honestly I liked punisher as a sideplot as he is going to be on Netflix soon
I agree. Whenever I saw Elektra, I wanted to skip back to the Punisher stuff. :P
They should’ve at least given 2 more episodes entirely about Punisher,so that both Punisher and Elektra arcs would’ve been equally spaced out.
9:30 Erin Balling it on the right making me wanna cry as well :'(
Lucas Coutinho my bad I really don't know how to spell it
I know, you can see the tear rolling down his cheek :(
Looked so sad :(
I laughed so hard.
I want Jessica to meet Punisher. That'd be an interesting friendship.
YO I WISH
When Nesbitt said, "take him out", I thought he meant that they were supposed to kill the dog. I was like, "Nooooooooo!!! 😢😭😢😭" but then they let the dog live, and I started breathing again.
Jon Bernthal is such an underrated actor. Great video guys.
The monologue made me cry like a baby. Jon did a great job! Great reaction, guys! Can't wait for more!
Damn, Aaron eyes were blinking real fast at 9:16. Emotional and very intense monologue by John Bernthal. Incredible
I expected tears, I got tears. Great job guys
I dont even dream of having kids, yet that monologue had me crying like a baby.
Oh my god.... everytime I see the Punisher on screen, I orgasm.... still one of the best casting choices ever. Jon Bernthal *kills* it (pun intended) as Frank, cannot wait for his own series.
An incredible performance, ignored by the Emmy's, again. :(
I agree completely.
Bernthal deserved an Emmy for TWD he was so good as Shane after he died the series went downhill from there
Seen Aaron crying hurt me right in the feels, excellent reaction guys, keep the good work :)
FINALLY!!! I have been waiting so long for you guys to get to this episode. This episode cemented Jon Bernthal as punisher to me
Just cry Aaron, you have two sholders there with you...
There has only been two times I have shed a tear from something fictional, the cemetery scene is one of them.
Aaron reacted like any new/expecting dad would in that situation. I like him immensely more now.
i mean he has 4 kids 3 boys and a girl although his daughter wasnt born yet during this reaction
you can tell that Eric and Calvin really enjoyed punisher's monologue as they were watching but it really hit home for Aaron because he's a father. (i haven't finished watching the video, i'm just making an observation as they're watching the monologue)
Also, Calvin and Aaron will appreciate this, the Irish mobster boss played Van Gogh in that one Doctor Who episode.
5:30 "Ah, justice! :D"
he also played odin's father bor in Thor: the Dark World
I was somewhere between Aaron and Eric on the "Almost Gonna Cry" scale during Punisher's monologue
Between Aaron and Eric? So you were Calvin? Ha get it? I'll just go
Great Video guys, love Erics and Calvins reaction (9:55) so awesome that they get excited like little kids. I was the same way when I watched this series. Keep up the great work guys.
I rewatch this just to keep seeing your guys' reactions.
I was waiting for Aaron to just cry , he was holding it back so long. It looked like he was gonna explode
"Can I take you to dinner" = "Let's get some coffee".
Yes finally you get to the cemetery monologue! Made me cry first time.
Thanks for all the hard work guys! And the show is only getting better from here
"This guy moaned at least this loud" 😂😂😂💀
Bro i watched that in a drivers ed class that was so random lmao
That damn monolog was so good that I come back to it often after all these years and I'm still blown away. Bernthall seriously deserved some kind of award for that .
I love that the scene in the graveyard monologue is like 1/5 of the entire episode
Emmy reel for Jon Bernthal...
At this time you could realise that this show is one of the three best shows that we have now on the panel. I recomend you for sure STRANGER THINGS but not 4 reaction, just for living a incredible experience. Greetings from Spain¡ Amazing reaction as usual
Where men cried
This was great!!!! Hope to see the rest of S2 from you guys!!
fun fact that's actually his real life dog! they used it on the set! by his i mean the guy who played punisher.
Do you guys know Punisher's actual comic book origin? Because if so, the show is very faithful to it
At 12:07 "I didn't cry" , but at 9:26 .... That's ok, buddy. I cried too.
That monologue is so well done. Aaron was so close to crying.
Anyone else here after the big reveal?
Vincent van Gogh plays a very convincing angry irish gangster
Already a dislike *shakes head*
Some idiots dislike videos that aren't reactions to what they want us to react to. It's unfortunate but if it makes them feel like they are making any kind of difference they can temper-tantrum the dislike button all they want.
+Blind Wave well everything Blind Wave is top-quality shit
They probably also dislike videos because they want you guys to do more than one/week of that show, even though you guys have stated that you don't have the time in your current schedule. Haha...people can be "special," that way.
Man deserved an Oscar for that performance as frank castle
Awesome as always! But they cut the best line! The line about how his little girl is the one holding him up gets me every time :(
Calvin is wearing a dungeon and dragons shirt. Stranger things reaction incoming?
Good call.
They literally John Wicked the Punisher.
Could/Will you guys ever do a video showing your Pop Vinyl collection? Because for new people to the channel(not me) and pop lovers(me) would love to see which ones/how many you have
Wow. So many needles in this episode. I feel sorry for Aaron.
That Monologue.... god.... that Monologue...
The title should be 2x4 not 1x4. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for catching my mistake. fixed :)
Hey guys, in your description it also says episode 5 instead of episode 4. Great to see you guys finally getting around to this season of Daredevil.
+Blind Wave is the podcast coming back?
At least they gave frank a day with them. This is my favorite marvel show on netflix.
That's actually his real dog on the show.
says episode 5 in the description, Something tells me Eric didn't sleep last night
This is my favourite episode but then again episode 3 was my favourite last week, so I can not wait 2 see episode 5
It'll be interesting to see y'all reaction to Preacher one day..I can't wait 😁
Man, Vincent Van Gogh is one angry dude.
5:47 Famous last words. "Who CAAAARREESS?!" KA-BLAM!
Punisher rules, can't wait until his solo show. Keep up the good work!!!
"YOUR FAMILY?!?! WHO CARES!!!"
*BLAM*
Wrong thing to say to a man who not only lost his entire family, but knows guns as well.
I love your background guys, also a big reason why I still come back. #muchnerdlove
Aaron's lip was definitely trembling during the monologue.
Also I LOVED this video and that Irish-mafia leader
Eric... I caught that... you were there with the tears, man. :) You were almost there with the waterworks... 8:55
Look at Aaron though
:) yep.
So everyone has addressed that cemetery scene so....
How about Matt grabbing a knife from behind him INSTANTLY! I loved that.
john doe is also a character from the movie SE7EN :)
“Not such a big man now, are ya?!?!”
Says the guy who has 2 other men holding Frank down!
before watching i have to say. YYYYAASSSSSSSSS!!! cant wait to see thier reaction
As always, a perfect reaction. Love from Brasil
I remember Elektra from playing Marvel Nemesis on the PS2.
Also, on the origin of John Doe en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Doe#Origin
Great reaction as always! Will there be One Punch man reactions?? BTW you guys put season 1 in the title instead of season 2.
Loved the video and love the discord server.
Calvin, a merry-go-round and carousel are the same thing. ;-)
You can see the tear
I fucking love you guys! Favorite channel.
You're asking to be blocked at this point.
+colprom oh yeah I'm sure I'll be blocked for commenting that I love them and saying their my favorite channel in a bunch of videos.
They took his dog? John Wick will help him out, he understands that pain.
Aaron is so fucking awesome, man.
I really want to answer all of the questions that you ask after the episode, but I don't want to spoil anything :)
You guys always have the best t-shirts
Great reactions, as always guys! You need to react to Stranger Things. Fab show, right up your alley and Calvin already has a shirt to go with it (D&D).
carbon tubing mask guys. definitely different from what he had on when Frank first shot him
The Punisher arc/story is the best part of the season for me. I personally feel like the season goes downhill from here, but that's just my opinion.
When Aaron said "Fuck em" I lost my shit
Eric is so much alike to Foggy/ Elden Hensonll
Great Work! Love to see how much you guys in there!
Would you ever react to Doctor Who? Would love to see it.
Are you guys going to react to Stranger Things?? Cause Calvin's shirt would be perfect...
This Punisher is by far the best. GG Jon B.
Jon Bernthal deserves everything for thay speech
Hey guys, you should react to this T.V. series called Vikings on the History channel, its amazing in someways its like Game Of Thrones.
