That was me 50 years ago, but then I had muscles and an empty wallet.. I made a good living and retired 10 years ago. Bought 40 acres in the middle of nowhere SC with a nice home and 4 tripod stands within 300 yards of my bedroom window. Living the American dream.
Make sure you have staps attaching the platform to the seat. Because if your feet slip and your platform slides down the tree you are screwed. Also use your harness and move the strap up incrementally too as a precaution.
I enjoyed your demonstration I have hunted for many years . I always wondered how one of these stands worked. Your instructions were clear and understandable. I am almost thinking of getting one.
+RODNEY WOMACK I concur. I've watched several videos on the subject. Some provided more detail and focused on safety., which is never a bad thing. This video was short and sweet, and covered the down-n-dirty on how to use the thing. I'm picking one up from BassPro tomorrow! :-)
I know you didn't go too high but you need to wear a safety harness and please tie that bottom platform to your top before you lose the bottom. One more thing when you sit down see your bottom strap around the tree is level with the tree it needs to be high so the stand digs into the tree. Be safer today to hunt tomorrow.
Depends. If you take it slow it's pretty easy. Only the part where you move your feet is hard really. I barely lift it, I just shimmy it side to side a little.
Why is this marked as spam? You are more likely to get in trouble with a falling-away bottom piece than to fall out of the stand. The end result might not be as deadly but it can still be very, very, bad.
I made that mistake. The bottom fell and I was stuck. Luckily I was only about 12 or so feet up. Had to hang then drop. Hurt a little. If it was any higher o don't know what I would have done.
I have the same stand. got it for $50. I climb standing the same as you. good stand and good video. they're not noisy at all when you are actually going out to hunt and trying to be quiet. I must fart in mine too much. squirrels ate the the seat. :) ...gorilla tape fixed. lol
Great video, but you forgot to add the part where you strap the the climber down to the tree before you sit on it.. It is quite common for the climber to fall as you sit down on it.
Thanks for the video, bro I would actually feel more safer in one of those than the tree stands I currently have. thinking of selling all of these and get a couple of those
Aloha from Hawaii!!! Thanks for sharing this video. Can you please tell me where I can find one of these. I would like the exact same type or very similar. Any help with this will be greatly appreciated.
Nice video young man, you have two major flaws. you are not wearing a harness and the top and bottom are not tethered. I only bring this up because I fell the Sunday before Thanksgiving, from 6 feet 4 broken ribs and collapsed lung and a week in the hospital.
Charles Emerson, I'm glad you're alive and kick'n! I am curious to know what caused the fall? My son and I plan to take up deer hunting with a bow and hearing that the number one cause of injury and death is falling from a hunting stand concerns me. So, I'd like to hear from anyone who's experienced a fall (or a near fall) and what caused it and what saved them. Was it equipment malfunction? Was it human error? What was it?
Title1ed I was climbing the tree and the cable on the top of upper part of the climber came out of its holder, the spring had become bent and I did not notice it. When I moved the stand side to side to release it from the bark that allowed the cable to come un done causing me to fall. I will not mention the name of the stand as there may be litigation.
Yea thats why I gave up the tree stand for a ground blind and a leafy suit . I have had close calls with them lucky I never got hurt But it was enough of a scare to give up tree stands all together .
Thanks for the comment! The tree stand we used in this video is not being sold at the moment but here is a stand that is like the one used in the video. www.googleadservices.com/pagead/aclk?sa=L&ai=DChcSEwjC4NG9kdLhAhXGirMKHduFCKkYABATGgJxbg&ohost=www.google.com&cid=CAESEeD25Dc10KDG5QxB5FqvHh5l&sig=AOD64_1b-KEyM_E1XeEURxZYzfv67TvZ0g&ctype=5&q=&ved=0ahUKEwj65sq9kdLhAhVRmuAKHeHKC9EQ9aACCFY&adurl=

New to the climber world and put it to use this hunting season. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxlQ7TDIrnnSXXbRgFFaxqwullRJJIuYAs I felt safe while climbing up and down a tree. It did take some time getting used to climbing and descending the tree. Once I figured it out I was comfortable going in climbing a tree knowing I was going to be up a tree quickly and most importantly quite not scaring every deer out of my area. I am 6’2” and 240 lbs, fit and comfort were great. I bow hunt and found no issues hunting from it. It is a little bulky to carry in and out of the woods vs some of the smaller open front climbers but I thought it was worth the bulk/weight due to ease of climbing (using the rail to sit on) and comfort for long sits.
Good, pertinent and easy to understand information. But please invest in a better cameraman. Never film with Sun in your eyes and the camera movement makes me dizzy. Use a tripod.
I been using a climber almost 30 years and I can tell you this is not how to do it. You DO NOT use your arms to push/support yourself on the upper part to pull up the bottom part. That's dangerous. You sit on the front "crossbar"(that's what its for), then pull the lower platform up with your feet. Stand-up,sit-down method. This kid was tought wrong.
nice videos , but doesn't talk about using a tie rope to connect to the bottom part so it will not fall down from the tree, no bungie cord or straps to go around your shoes or boots to help feet stay in the bottom part of climber. no safety harness and warns about making sure you climb up a live tree not a dead one
This should be titled, how to die in a tree stand. The stand was pointing down very quickly (not adjusted properly ) not tied together and not using a safety harness. Other than that spot on.
This wasn't a bad video but for 1. Where is your harness, for 2. The bottom platform needs some adjusting, for 3. You made way to much noise, and for 4. You rushed this a little too much try taking more time to explain everything easier
dude , swap out those cables, with chains, ASAP !! Those cables injure and kill , more hunters than anything else. they rust inside the wire coating, and stretch apart. be safe everyone
Lol wait till you lose your bottom. Complete idiot for not having a tether between the 2 piece lol. I've used plenty of climbers. Im very familiar with them. Not even close to as safe as my x stand ladder stands. Can they be used yes. But they are a accident waiting to happen. Use one long enough and find out lol I lost my bottoms once, thank God I had brains to have the top and bottom attracted together! Good luck
That was me 50 years ago, but then I had muscles and an empty wallet.. I made a good living and retired 10 years ago. Bought 40 acres in the middle of nowhere SC with a nice home and 4 tripod stands within 300 yards of my bedroom window. Living the American dream.
I hope you enjoy your retirement
Awesome hard work pays off in the end sir.

Good for you your old
Make sure you have staps attaching the platform to the seat. Because if your feet slip and your platform slides down the tree you are screwed. Also use your harness and move the strap up incrementally too as a precaution.
Thank you so much. I am a novice hunter and this was very helpful to me as I am beginning my search for a decent tree climbing stand.
Paul Menges thank you for watching
I'd suggest summit viper a little pricey but they are great
Lone wolf if you got the cash
I enjoyed your demonstration I have hunted for many years . I always wondered how one of these stands worked. Your instructions were clear and understandable. I am almost thinking of getting one.

+RODNEY WOMACK thanks for watching
You can add foam pipe insulation and duct tape to quiet that thing down. That's how I got mine to be stealthier. Good video.
Explain I just picked one up
Pictures????
I've been using one of these for over 30 years. I like how I can work my way around the opposite side of the tree little by little.
Nice job....never saw how these work, now I know. Video was very clearly explained...great work, thanks
Always wondered how those worked. Good option for fit people. I would have a tough time getting safely down at the end of a really cold day.
Depends. If you take it slow it's pretty easy. Only the part where you move your feet is hard really. I barely lift it, I just shimmy it side to side a little.
If you dont tether the two pieces together, you are asking for trouble......It is more important than a harness.
Why is this marked as spam? You are more likely to get in trouble with a falling-away bottom piece than to fall out of the stand. The end result might not be as deadly but it can still be very, very, bad.
bfriendly100 ... never climb without them teathered!!!
bfriendly100 been there don’t that. 30’ is a long way to climb down hugging the tree with tour legs
bfriendly100 how do you tether them together
I made that mistake. The bottom fell and I was stuck. Luckily I was only about 12 or so feet up. Had to hang then drop. Hurt a little. If it was any higher o don't know what I would have done.
I use two straps to hold mine together when im "backpacking" it in. then I attach the two straps to hold top and bottom together.
man that's loud...
awesome video very informative i personally love my self leveler climbing treestand the equalizer to me the safest treestand ever made
Greeating your working, good luck for you.
U forgot your safety harness number one rule but good video
Great video. Always wondered how Tim wells got up all those trees
Good Video, I'm considering using one and this was a good intro.
I have the same stand. got it for $50. I climb standing the same as you. good stand and good video. they're not noisy at all when you are actually going out to hunt and trying to be quiet. I must fart in mine too much. squirrels ate the the seat. :) ...gorilla tape fixed. lol
Thank you for sharing this video. What are the weight restrictions?
Great video, but you forgot to add the part where you strap the the climber down to the tree before you sit on it.. It is quite common for the climber to fall as you sit down on it.
Made that look easy. About to buy one for myself
Thanks for the video, bro I would actually feel more safer in one of those than the tree stands I currently have. thinking of selling all of these and get a couple of those
Thanks. I bought a used stand but it didn’t include the instructions. I’ll practice first at home.
For everyone saying this is to loud u can do this set up way quitter he wasn’t tryin to be quit as he wasn’t hunting
Great video and thanks for the info.
This is like a shtf dream in a swamp
Who else doesn’t even hunt but it’s here out of curiosity on how they set up the stands up there? Lol

Welcome to THE WORLD'S LOUDEST TREE STAND! It's great to deaf deer.
Nice video young man, you have two major flaws. you are not wearing a harness and the top and bottom are not tethered. I only bring this up because I fell the Sunday before Thanksgiving, from 6 feet 4 broken ribs and collapsed lung and a week in the hospital.
Thanks for the tips and hope you are ok.

Thank you for sharing. I hope you have fully recovered. If not, I hope in time you do.
Yea thats why I gave up the tree stand for a ground blind and a leafy suit . I have had close calls with them lucky I never got hurt But it was enough of a scare to give up tree stands all together .
Thing is so loud every deer in a mile would run😂😂😂
KMJ Outdoors he states that he recommends placement prior to hunt day due to noise ,just in case you missed it friend

Very profitable job
How much does this unit run? Thx
last time I checked was around one hundred dollars
Good, pertinent and easy to understand information. But please invest in a better cameraman. Never film with Sun in your eyes and the camera movement makes me dizzy. Use a tripod.
Good vid know anywhere I can buy a cheap one
Amozon. I just bought a sportsman guide climber for $75
hi, can I find in at china to buy? Can you help me?
Boa noite quanto custo esse equipamento
Hi. i will like to have this how can I get it please
What kind is it or name
How much they go for?
Good video
thanks for the video
I liked it, thanks.
Doubles as a rattle. Deer would come running!
I usually hunt 25-30 ft up. What height yall hunt at?
Matt Damon I usually go about 20 myself any higher it gets a little sketchy for me - quinten
REEF X mr 15 feet I'm a puss
Anything above 20 is unnecessary. Your shot angle also goes to hell the higher up you go.
Bruce Riley a lot of times I have to go higher just to have some cover
How much r they
Really god idea
Where I can this please?
Thanks a lot

This stand is way too Noisy!
catekboy he wasnt trying to be quiet. If you were going slow you could be much quieter
I Worked For A Company That Makes Those Here In Alabama

Glad my summit is a lot quieter
Good video but damn that stand is loud
You to seat on the guard hand ues your feet lifting
tether and harness, you'll appreciate if you ever cut out
Thank you
WHERES YOUR HARNESS?
we didn't have one at the time we do now though
alright dude thanks though means alot
No harness, no tether between top and bottom, and platform angled down away from the tree. One bad accident waiting to happen.
your pulling your feet to far up while climbing. Extremely unsafe
You put the platform on an upward angle not downward
ha jk bro nice video ha
Where is the safety gear very easy to fall out of one of these or lose the bottom
This wasn't a bad video but for 1. Where is your harness, for 2. The bottom platform needs some adjusting, for 3. You made way to much noise, and for 4. You rushed this a little too much try taking more time to explain everything easier
This can use coconut three
Damn dude wear ur Darkness dude you're going to end up having a accident
Please people don't be like this guy wear a safty harness.
dude , swap out those cables, with chains, ASAP !! Those cables injure and kill , more hunters than anything else. they rust inside the wire coating, and stretch apart. be safe everyone
By the way, great job on the video ! I should've said that first
ahhh to be young again
Safety harness
I've got a few I'd give away . Very unsafe to use! Moving to all ladder stands.
Ben Krause I actually feel a lot safer with mine than my latter stand. It’s almost impossible for one of these to fall
Lol not even close to as safe!
Ben Krause that’s your opinion. If you know what you are doing a climber can be one of the safest stands
Lol wait till you lose your bottom. Complete idiot for not having a tether between the 2 piece lol. I've used plenty of climbers. Im very familiar with them. Not even close to as safe as my x stand ladder stands. Can they be used yes. But they are a accident waiting to happen. Ben Krause yes I will agree with you there he is a idiot for not having a tether connecting the bottom and top piece
Harness man
Funny to watch. Needs to find his man balls. Way too noisy!
design how to making
GO TO : UA-cam Equalizer vs Higher Level.....for the REAL COMPARISON.
Hi
