This is a true testimonial: You Collin, my friend, are a national treasure. I am interested in taking UA-cam more seriously (I have another channel) and it was a battle getting the production part down. My lighting is amazing, audio is good, background is superb now all I needed was to master editing. I had put it off for days. Then I finally opened my MacBook and downloaded final cut pro, the free trial, and attempted to look through it to see what I was in for. The same way I opened my laptop is the same way I slammed it close! My brain was about to explode that software is so not user friendly. Here’s a tip I found very helpful that I think you haven’t mentioned, If you’ve been using VN for a while, you know that the text, audio, and picture layers all limit to 3, there’s actually a way to increase that limit from 3 to 5! What you need to do is click the settings button, (AKA the gear in the top right) and click it, once you’ve done so look for the Preferences tab, once you open it you will see an option called : “The Number Of Tracks”. By clicking it your given the option to increase or decrease the amount of layers/text/audio on your videos. Simply choose 5 (which is the actual limit sadly) and you will be given the ability to use up to a maximum of 5 texts/layers/audios! Go on, spread you creativity to the world!
I watched this and it just confirmed what i was thinking as I just switched from Kinemaster. I totally agree with your last tip about learning to capture great footage as that is the deciding factor to cinematic videos.

Hi, there is a dedicated zoom button already on the bottom row of icons. Just select the clip, press that button and choose zoom in, zoom out, move left or right, up or down. No need for key framing.
Yes you could do that but it doesn’t have a lot of customization from what I’ve seen. I can’t even control the speed of the zoom. I can see it being useful if I want to do something quick and don’t have time to mess with keyframes so it does have some advantages.
quick questions, do you experience down color grading when you export your video? because I experienced down color grading when I export my editing video from my laptop, but when I export on my phone nothing happen.... can you give me a tips on that? thank youuu

I think you are the best video editor teacher. Because the tutorial is very detailed and you speak slowly. Not like other tutorials that want to cover everything in just 1 minute. So they speak so fast lo ike a rapper music artist

Kinemaster would be my type, but this app has the controls for making the video fast and slow with the circle button(s) keyframes. These tips you've given are very useful :)

Very nice, easy to follow tutorial. I've had to switch from ActionDirector to this, as ActionDirector isn't letting me remove their watermark by watching an ad anymore. This seems to have some features I don't often see in Android editors, especially free ones. I'm just hoping it can handle long videos, as I often make them in the 20-60 minute range.
