    You can add pipes and air cleaner and tuner and still be covered by warranty as long as you use Harleys recommended tuner. Nice bike bro ive got it in white.

    I like all Sportsters. I like the 1200 due to the higher handlebars and the sport fairing. I've owned 16 motorcycles. three Harley Big Twins and I still prefer the Sportster because they are lighter and much more fun to ride. I ride 15,000 miles a year. Any bike at 80 mph is uncomfortable to me. I've traveled to places like the Blue Ridge Parkway, Skyline Drive, Outer Banks, Virginia Beach, Lake Erie, and others and rarely travel faster than 65 mph. Believe me the Sportster is more fun to ride.
    Ride safely and enjoy every journey.

      I think it’s all depends where you ride. In the north you’ll dealing with pot holes and 55mph speed limits. Here in fl we have great straight roads. And the speed limits are 70-75. Do 65 is a death wish here.

      @@JustinFrascona I've traveled in 40 states by car and have traveled at 70 mph. If I were to travel out west on a bike I would have to travel at 70 so I don't get run over, but I still would not go 80 or 90 mph like some do. At 70 or 75 mph on a large bike the rpm's are not through the roof and Harleys usually run at lower rpm's. At 70 or 75 you can still enjoy the ride, at 80 or 90 not so much.

    I owned a Road King for the last 5 years. Great bike but I missed the fun of the Sportster so I sold the RK and bought a 2020 Iron 1200! I added V&H slip ons, high flow air cleaner, tuner, new grips,sissy bar to strap bags to, Kuryakyn mini board pegs and skull gas cap. Runs great and great in the twisties!Might change the seat to a mustang.

      Thanks for watching. I’ve got some new Grips I need to install. I plan on adding a saddle man 2 up seat in the future as well as the sissy bar.

    I love my 1200 sportster, I’ve had tons of fun riding it. The 883 is too weak in terms of power. The 1200 is perfect w plenty of power. I ride mine daily and haven’t had any issues what so ever. I put some cool stuff on mine. Love the customization of the sportsters.

    My mirror nuts also rusted, I replaced them with stainless ones. Sportsters are the hottest running Harley motors out of any other Harley models. They run hotter when they're too lean. I also found the paint rubbing off of the belt pulley which Harley replaced for me. Stay safe.

    • @JustinFrascona
      @JustinFrascona  4 роки тому +1

      Thanks for the advice. I’ll get those stainless nuts and I’ll check my belt pulley. Thanks for watching and commenting.

    When I get a little wobble above 90 I lean forward and loosen my grip a little bit. Straightens right up. Took me a while to figure that one out lol

      Now, if you want the best sounding and performing exhaust out there, try the Vance and Hines stainless 2-1. Check out my 48 on my channel. It's under the knife right now for a full motor build, brake upgrade front and rear, suspension front and rear, and a new lightweight carbon fiber body, and a ton of other upgrades!

    If you want to maintain warranty, be careful what pipes you go with, talk to a service tech (they typically know the warranty better) , not the parts and accesories guy. Non EPA compliant pipes, tuner, and intake will void warranty. Blame EPA, not Harley... they got sued by EPA for honoring powertrain warranty work on non EPA compliant bikes.... Harley Davidson got sued into being not cool (in the wake of the VW diesel scandal, EPA went balls out after everyone). For sake of warranty, I went with Screamin Eagle intake, pipes, and tuner. The SE street cannons are loud enough to be heard but not obnoxious.
    Oh also, S&S recently released the Superstreet 2 into 1 that is 50 state legal, so maybe a warranty friendly 2 into 1

    I started on a 2019 iron 1200 as my first bike, which I traded it in for a 2020 softail standard. The bike is pretty heavy for a beginner, if you gave any of the riders in the rider course i took to get my motorcycle license, they would 100% not feel confident on it. Some even dropped the street 500s. I grew up riding dirt bikes so I never really had a problem with the iron 1200. Doesnt me I'm the best rider out there lol ain't gassing myself up now

    Older bikes are still good as long as they're Evo and newer if your looking for reliability. You have a beautiful bike. I'm not a big fan of the meep meep horns mounted in the front of the frame. I put the louder one on mine that mounts by the choke on my 03. My wife has an 02 and my son has a 94. They've all been trouble free. Regular maintenance and constant tinkering is the only money we've spent on our bikes.

      Thanks for watching nick. I had a 92 before this one, but it had a lot of electrical issues and many previous owners modding. I ended up going for the newer one so I could just focus on riding.

    • @JustinFrascona
      @JustinFrascona  3 роки тому +1

      Forward controls would be nice, my old sportster had them and I liked them a lot. I’m thinking about keeping the mid controls on this one and maybe adding crash bars and highway pegs so I can get the best of both worlds. Thanks for watching!

    I'm about to buy my first HD. Pretty new to riding (2 years on a Yamaha XSR700) been looking at a Street Bob or this Iron 1200. Billiard looks beautiful! How is this bike if you're gonna bring a passenger on shorter weekend trips? That's the main issue I'm having trying to decide between a softtail and this

    • @JustinFrascona
      @JustinFrascona  4 роки тому +1

      If I could do it again I’d go for the softail. The iron is not set up for a second passenger and would need a new seat and rear pegs. I might trade this one in for a softail but I still do love it. I don’t plan on riding with a passenger thought
