Nikolai Lockertsen is back for another Procreate LiveDraw. More from Nikko: nikolailockertsen Nikko's Tutorials and Brushes: gumroad.com/nikkos_tutorials
This is the best digital paint ever seen. The small small detail done has blow my mind Il would feel very lucky if i do even 50% of what you did, amazing work
Nikolai Lockertsen endnu en god chance for at lave en "crap" turtorial, og så kan du også dele dine nye egg brushes :) (jeg burde started med selv at lave brushes). Og igen, tak
At 41 I am just starting my creative journey by learning to draw. I’ll be getting an iPad and procreate later in the year, for now I’m using pencil and paper. My goal is 100% to be able to draw scenes of this quality, it is stunning.
Shanks Hey, thanks for taking an interest. I am still drawing although I did quickly realise that nailing the fundamentals is clearly required. My initial attempts were far too ambitious and my frustration levels were high because of it. My mistakes: - jumping too quickly between subjects. - being too ambitious. - not being patient with it. - jumping into colour/shading too soon - not being structured enough. - going for detail from the get-go Wins: - following some AWESOME tutorials that gave me fantastic results. - learning to love the sketch process. - focussing on one specific element to practice. - simple doodles gave me immense joy - learning not to compare to anyone else I’m still really enjoying it, although work has sucked up my time of late. Heading into autumn/winter and I’m started to feel the need to sit down, get cosy and doodle away again.
LemonJelly360 wow ! This is amazing honestly, you gave me exactly what I needed cuz I was stuck on those mistakes and I do give up but I’m always keen to get back and just draw ! Appreciate your response so kind and helpful best wishes
@@LemonJelly360 thanks for getting back with further updates. I’m going through some of the same mistakes but my main pet peeve is that I watch too many tutorials and don’t practice at all.
Hi niko ! Thanks for this /. Why we can not see your work with layers or brushes here ? For some reason this type of video hides it _ also - what type of perspective ruler were you using in the house -thanks
That is odd, you should see all my layers and menu troughout the video as I have them open from time to time. But Procreate interface hides all the menus you are not using. To keep a clean workspace.
You’re so amazing Niko! I’ve just discovered you, hope you create more for Procreate. This is 2 years ago, but just wondering if you’re using a custom shortcut keyboard for procreate?
Thank you. I had some bad experience with clicking-noises on the first livestreams using the iPad internal-mic. So I got an M-Audio Uber Mic that I use now.

Amazing work and great workflow! Learned a lot. Thanks!
That’s a great tip about using the photo for perspective protocol. Thanks 👌🏼
Nikolai blows my mind more and more with each video. Insane talent.
Thank you for very kind words :-)

nikolay really I am very excited, after seeing your work, I did not expect, Procreate can produce such work, keep working? You are the best
The base coloring using curves is an amazing starting point to know! Thanks for that.
Super handy tip!
You know what i feel when i see these types of videos. I feel anxious about not being able to draw like having same tool as he has before dying😅

Hey I'm trying to figure out how you stretch the image for ground into perspective by holding and stretching? Can anyone help? Thanku :)

Great stuff as always Niko!! Just wondering what the mic set up is for this stream. Is it using the internal ipad mic or external one?
Thank you. I had some bad experience with clicking-noises on the first livestreams using the iPad internal-mic. So I got an M-Audio Uber Mic that I use now.
Which resolution has the canvas?
5035 x 3000 PX at 300 DPI . He pulls up the canvas info at 1:56:07
@@prk002Oke thx! The stream was running in the background while I was painting, so I didn't focus that much:D
Theresa You’re welcome. I hope you’re happy with your painting. 🙂
