They have a gorgeous home. Reminds me of my parents home. My dad built the cupboards and other things in their home. My dad loved cats...and my mom learned to love them ( cats) after a few years as well.

That's amazing even from a aesthetic stance. It's hard if you live in a small place and have cats. This is great if you're minimalist and lack space.

Yep, because catification of the house relies on hoe good someone is st arranging things around anyway, and the cat jungle gym uses soace that humans usually don't use anyway (higher spots on walls, near ceiling) so with good design it wouldn't take up much of our space ^^
I love the way it just need some simple floating shelves and done. The cat love it. Wow!!

Your home is beautiful! I can tell the cats love you all very much! I have five ferals that are completely tame now! They love to climb my bed post and jump on top of our tall furniture. I'm going to try to make a cat walk like yours..love it!! So kind & thoughtful what you did for you kitty cats!! Enjoyed watching this video!

Some great design ideas in this house. My personal favourite is the projector screen doubling as a blind for the window, that's pure genius.

I too am a huge follower of Jackson Galaxy. If you ever get to see him live (my stepson and I saw him at a local venue pre-pandemic), go! He’s so warm, personable, and full of great info.

I think the top planks should have sistel rope around it or something so they can't slip off. As they get older, they get less sure footed. I noticed this with my two, they also get arthritis and don't like to jump up as much. Perhaps making sleep tunnels up top that will secure them from slipping. We have fleece lined shelves to jump up and climb, but the older they get the less they trust being up so high. Looks nice though, very clean.

Same, My guess would be Lag bolts with the heads cut off. And holes drilled into the plywood and it's just a friction fit.

3:23 I actually like the sink area that you can replace the pipe and faucet easily and they use very basic cheap ones. Very convenient.

If I ever own a house I'm going to do this. You could do it for pretty cheap yourself with those metal shelving pieces and wood. Just sand and stain the wood, find the studs and drill in the shelving anchors

Hello, we would want to build similar cat platform in our new house and we aren’t sure what material of platforms should be chosen. You mentioned plywood, are they engineering hardwood floor or something else? What’s the thickness of the plywood you chose? And how to stick it to the wall?
