"The public doesn't want to hear," should never be an acceptable excuse for quieting the truth. We need to be informed of what we should know or be aware of, anything less is underestimating the public. That's why we need independent media and journalism, so that its the facts and not some corporate biased version depending on which political party the mainstream media owners are donating money to. But this is why trump was allowed to erode the news media mainstream or otherwise, the republican party know they're not going to get too much support from most media for these anti voting laws. So the republican party were happy for trump to call them the enemy of the people, as a result 74 million intellectually backward, bigoted and white nationalist deplorables voted for trump and the republicans.

I am old enough to remember the Pentagon Papers. I served in the USCG during the Vietnam War. Also, I worked on the nuclear arms race, educated myself, and did some public education on the dangers of the nuclear arms race. And I read Nuclear Armageddon by Ellsberg. Very ominous. He is onto a serious topic, the dangers of the use of nuclear weapons. But, also important that he is 90 years of age and still so articulate, thoughtful and well studied.

You would routinely drop off film for processing and return a few days later to pickup your prints. At the store, we would inspect all processed film and prints that arrived from the lab before filing each individual order alphabetically for customer pickup.

I thought it interesting that there was overwhelming bipartisan support for the Anti-Asian hate bill, while both sides of the aisle continue to bemoans the fact that China has outpaced US economic growth. Many of the lawmakers are the same ones that voted to give tax incentives to manufacturers to move their operations outside the US. They wanted slave wage laborers. Little did they suspect that China would suppress it's currency exchange rate. That meant the low US paid wages, translated into livable wages in China. Now China produces more millionaires annually then the US. The powers that tried to low ball American workers is now resentful about China's economic growth. Whenever the US speaks disparaging about China, it comes off like racist, anti-Asian hate. This is weirdly suspicious since the 118 attacks on Asian Americans is significantly smaller than the 1100 anti-Black hate crimes that occurred in 2020. I suspect the US is no more concerned about anti-Asian hate, then they are concerned about anti-black hate. I think the entire bi-partisan support for protecting American Asian, is a facade; a pretentious act to cover their movements and strategies against China's economy.

We keep making the Fatal mistake of thinking we can keep waging Wars on distant shores then go home to cocktails & dinner. North Korea emphatically stated that they will bring whatever War US initiated right into US, a strategy no one else ventured since WWII. Days of US waging war on distant shores to sow chaos as if a Video Game then going home when it gets rough are gone & quicker our War-Mongers realise that, the better.

Didn't a Chinese general say something like
"It's not a question of 'if' we go to war with America..."
Sadly, sounds like something any smart general would say, i guess you should always make your enemy think you're thinking about it, even if you aren't.
But it sure would be cool if we all got along! Yea?!
Seems like a waste of radioactive material if you ask me.
How many homes could we heat during the winter with all those weapons?

This may seem like a minor detail but the following is important to understand if we are to avoid WW3. Taiwan became a Japanese colony in 1895 as a result of China losing to Japan during the "first Sino-Japanese War". The Republic of China (ROC) was formed in 1912 under the control of the Nationalist Party - Kuomintang (KMT) with Sun Yat-Sen as its leader. After Sun's death in 1925, Chiang Kai-shek became the leader of the KMT. Over time, a civil war broke out between the KMT and the communist party of China (CPC) with the latter emerging as the victor in 1949 and the KMT retreating onto the island of Taiwan (which was returned to ROC from Japan after the end of WW2 in 1945) where it continued to claim as the legitimate ruler or government of entire China as ROC. It should be with this understanding that we approach the China / Taiwan situation and why foreign interference can trigger WW3.

Newly founded Republic of China in Taiwan? Taiwan still uses RoC years, so it's nothing newly founded in 50s. That's the losing side of the Chinese Civil War. RoC was still representing China in the U.N. at the time as well as flying SR-71 and sending infiltration forces into mainland.

Interfere with their internal affair is like your neighbour Chinese Tiger Mom makes her children do their home works and practice piano and violin. They resent and cry, some one from the neighbourhood went into their house and kill their tiger mother and replace them a pretty playful Mom. What do you think? Good ?
