Wow. Anne and I congratulate you on your new son firstly. We love the visions you both have for your property and for your home. The 70's retro styling sure brought back some memories for us, lol., baby boomers. The downstairs area will be a great master bedroom and movie/hangout room for you and Jayden. We think the brick work and bar would be a cool feature for your movie room, and maybe it would be great for your ''surround sound''. Its going to be a great home when you complete all the reno work, and being able to picture the finished result will keep you motivated and excited to keep on, keeping on. It will be a great home when you're done, something you guys have put your spin on and can be proud of all your input, to truly make it yours. Well done. Thank you for sharing your vision.
Thankyou so much for your lovley comment!! Pretty funky house right. 😊 Thats such a great idea. Could look pretty neat as i do like the uniqueness off the brick.
Curious about something not mentioned....The price. Building costs in New Zealand.....😬 Could you repurpose the spiral staircase on a fort or tree house? 🤷🏻♀️
Totally right!! So expensive!! Luckily, we can do most of the labor ourselves to keep costs right down as labour is a killer!!!!. This project will take a few years to complete, of course. Buckling down and saving, a bit of a sacrifice, but totally worth it.
@@thecurlefarm If purchased the property at a reasonable price then it is definitely worth doing the hard work. 10 acres + renovated homestead is the perfect lifestyle farmlet. Yes, tradie friends & if you're handy yourself can knock 25% plus off the costs. Wonderful lifestyle for your family. I miss the Kiwi quarter acre sections, big enough to have a yard, a vege garden, a couple of chooks & a decent shed. Love your enthusiasm, #8 wire & some elbow grease, she'll be right mate! 😉
Gidday again. We meant to ask in last comment how you faired in the downpour over Waihi way on Monday 29th May. The downpour which flooded Waihi Beach area. There is another youtuber - "family farming and fun'- on the Whangamata side of Waihi, whose has dried off and is on holiday, but said their dairy farm got 160ml in an hour. Crazy amount of rain. So we hope you guys didnt get any damage to property. We got 9.5 ml that morning, but it left the ground as wet as if we'd had 100 odd ml. Mandarins are rotting on trees, such has been Mays wet days, however it is what it is!!!!!
Was soo wet! Luckily we live out of waihi/waihi beach but my family lives at waihi beach and their section was super flooded all in the garage. Luckily, the house is on high piles. So much chaos it caused, heaps of mud everywhere and houses inhabitable. Whats going on with the weather lately!!
Execelente
Love the idea of a separate tv room for you and jayden and master bedroom downstairs!! Look forward to seeing
So excited to see all your dreams and hard work come together ❤️ xx
Thanks bestie 😘
