Congratulations! So happy people are finding your channel. Keep reading and carry on!
Thank you! Will do!
My favorite new channel as well. Grateful to have stumbled across your videos. Please keep doing your thing I’ll definitely be along for the ride.
Thank you! That means a lot to me! I will definitely keep doing what I'm doing.
My favorite Glenn Cook standalone is A Matter of Time, which I recommend!
Tolkien also ha a translation of Beowulf.
Congratulations on getting 1000 subs!
A Matter of Time is the standalone I am most interested in. I can't wait to read it.
Thank you!
Courtney says to read pillars of the earth lol
You first 😂
When I saw DNF'd in the thumbnail you had me thinking the Garrett novel you're on was that bad, ha.
I'm too close to the finish line to DNF Faded Steel Heat. It is like a two and half star book though.
Congrats!!
Thank you!
Congrats! Great to see all your hard work leading to this achievement!!
Thank you! 😎
For a quirky, very unconventional “romance” novel, try The Rosie Project (it’s the first in a trilogy).
Congrats Joseph. Always love the content.
Thank you!
Congrats on 1000 subscribers!! I’m so glad you enjoyed Funny Story so much😊
Thanks! I'm looking forward to reading more of her books. I'm going to let the Libby queuing gods decide when I read her books from now on. I get my next Emily Henry audiobook in about 6 weeks.
i just found your channel! already like it, congratulations!!! new sub 🎉
Thank you!
Grats on breaking 1000.
Here's a recommendation for you: MC Beaton's Hamish MacBeth series. Cozy village mysteries that take place in and around a fictional Highland village called Lochdubh [Lok-doo]. They're short, well-paced, great atmosphere with a lot of fun characters.
There's a good TV series based on those books, as well. Not sure how closely they follow the books, though.
I will add it to my wishlist.
Thanks!
@@rickcantrell5302 The TV series doesn't follow the books at all. It's not bad for what it is, but if you're a fan of the books and expect that from the show, you'll be disappointed. The author was disappointed with the result.
Congratulations on the 1K subs! Very happy for your success!
Thank you so much!
Let's gooooooo congrats on 1k! You bring such a unique voice to booktube it's so well deserved and can't wait to see it continue to grow! Shame about the end of that Follett trilogy not landing, but sounds like the first couple reads were great at least
Thank you! That means a lot!
Ken Follett was bound to write a stinker eventually 😂
Woah, 8 minutes!
It was 15 before editing 😂
@@JosephReadsBooks You guys are editing?
Hey, Joseph! I didn't read a romance, but I did DNF Ken Follett a long time ago. I just started a Tom Holland book myself: Persian Fire: The First World Empire and the Battle for the West. The beginning is very good, at least. Pax looks good also.
I started Persian Fire a while back. I need to get back to it. I enjoyed the beginning but I think my brain was mush at the time.
Beowulf is still good, indeed. Great wrap up. Sorry Follet forgot how to write for a book.
Beowulf was very fun. When he shows up with his "squad" it felt like seeing some modern Special Ops dudes showing up to a fight and I was all for it!
Thanks!
It's okay about Follett. I know he has a lot of good books. You gotta write a stinker eventually.
Just subscribed because I really need to start reading again!
I have a few videos about short books that are great ways to get introduced to different sub genres.
If you want any recommendations I would be happy to help!
@@JosephReadsBooks I'm just a very lapsed reader. I've got a bunch here I need to get back into. Interesting to see you mention Tom Holland, I read Rubicon back in the day.
@@keithlowe5512 I hope I can help motivate you to get back into reading!
Rubicon was really good. The sequel, Dynasty, is also great.
Congrats on the 1k
Thanks!
Joseph out here making booktube look easy. Too bad the the Rangers are on a four game losing streak!!!
They should stop doing that 😭.
