Killer list buddy. We share a few. Looking forward to seeing you at the Cavalera show. I'm with you on the hopes they rerecord all the Cavalera era stuff
Nice list! New Sub here. I totally agree with Opeth! Fell off hard for me after multiple listens…cheers from Minnesota 🤘🍻 My #1) also Blood Incantation 🪐☄️🛸👽🛰️
I am loving that Muni Waste EP too - so short (9 min?) but total ripper! I want to go see them in Feb open for Kerry King. Been a fan for a while too. I have that Atrophy in my top 10 picks for 2024 too! killer return for them. Great records from Accept and Priest this year too. Cant wait to see what we get in 2025. Cheers man!
Yeah, Municipal Waste is great. I've seen them twice and both times they killed it. Their early crossover is my favorite though. A lot of stuff rumored to be coming out in the next few months. Year of the Cobra has a new album out in February...looking forward to that one.
Happy to hear that Accept is releasing such good albums at this point in their long career. Interesting concept with the Kurt Russell song titles via the Municipal Waste release "Tango and Thrash". Killer album title and artwork. Great to see you Steve. The very best to you all through 25~ Rob/Boston
Happy new year, Rob. Yeah Accept have really kept ahead of the curve...especially for a bunch of guys in their 60s and 70s. The Kurt Russell theme is so cool. I would have bought it anyway because I dig the band, but what a great idea.
Love the new Municipal Waste Tango & Thrash. Killer Crossover Thrash.🤘Not Crossover but the new Body Count album Merciless kicks ass. As does Juan Garcia's other band Evildead - Toxic Grace. Another album that made my 2024 top 10 list.🤘
Yeah, I really need to get that Evildead. Juan is great, I love most of his projects...especially Abattoir, one of the most underrated of the 80s bands. I'm not sure what it is about Body Count...their debut is a favorite of mine. It was may main workout album for about a year, played it almost every day. I've never pulled the trigger on any of their other albums. I didn't like their second and haven't given em a chance since.
Hey Steve. A really cool list from last year. As for my summary, Accept triumphed. I was recently at a concert in a club during the promotion of this album and I was really hoping for autographs and photos together, unfortunately the guys disappeared right after the show... I really envy those signatures on the cover of your album. When it comes to thrash metal, one of my favorite albums of last year was Profane Prayer by Greek specialists Suicidal Angels. And if you have some free time, maybe you'll like the second album PANDEMIC - Phantoms by Kraków youth. It's speed/thrash metal, the album was released by Dying Victims Productions (LP and CD). Happy New Year, dude. Best wishes ~ Fozzie
I did the Accept meet and greet because I really wanted to get a picture I took with them back in 2016 signed, and also got 3 albums signed, as well as a bunch of swag. It was definitely worth the $100 it cost. I've heard a couple of songs off the Suicide Angels album and really dug them. If I run across the album I will definitely grab one. I'll have to check out Pandemic, don't know them.
I have that Ritual Servant. I had Flots as my #3. Accept was a grower for me it made my list. My #1 was Priest. I got the 7" thru Metal Hammer mag. Not I I'm so good. Killer list.
Accept was a grower for me as well, but with each listen it just got better an better for me. Just thought of the Deep Purple as well. That album was so good, should have given it an honorable mention.
That Morbid Saint was another one I just heard about and haven't grabbed yet. Funny enough, I just grabbed the first album last week, was shocked to see it in a local store. Such a great band!
I didn't buy much new albums this year for some reason. Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, The Cure, High On Fire, Ministry, Wolfbrigade, Thou, Oranssi Pazuzu, Judas Priest and Saxon. 2024 was great year for reissues. HOF is probably my fave new album of this year. Otherwise I have been buying old albums that I don't have and first presses of my favorite albums. Also been picking up the Poison Idea reissues. I have to get that Obsessed album! Wino rules. Spirit Caravan was a great band! Have a great 2025!
Spirit Caravan was killer, but then, everything Wino releases is great. I'm not sure what it is about Matt Pike, but I just haven''t gotten into any of his bands. I've seen HOF too, just don't do it for me, even thought they really should.
We are honored to be on the list! Thanks so much! 🤘🏻
Thanks guys...looking forward to the next album!
19:32 "Mean Streets" from RIOT V , that's the best fucking album of the year 2024

Awesome, thanks. Yeah that Blood Incantation is great. That's gonna be a go to record for quite some time.

Atrophy - Asylum made my top 10 albums of 2024. Great album. My #1 album of 2024 however is Morbid Saint - Swallowed By Hell. FEROCIOUS Thrash.🤘

What not Saxon on the list???, good video though..:)😉
Still don't have the record. I really need to get it. They were so good live.
@@harmlessrebel868 Ok, its a must have, number 2 on my list, Priest nr 1.
Hammerfall are swedes 😉🤣
Haha, yeah I do that all the time. I always confuse them with Grave Digger.
