    That AC/DC is great. I agree. All the favorites. I had it on CD when it came out and basically played it all high school and college years. Still go to it when I wanna hear em 3 inches of blood is great. Been a favorite of mine since I heard Advance and Vanquish. Seen em every time they came through Atlanta. So excited they are back again. All of their albums are amazing

    The Jam's first two albums, In the City and This Is the Modern World are punky. After that, no. Don Bolles was the drummer in both 45 Grave and Germs.

  • @LuckyBastardProd
    @LuckyBastardProd 20 днів тому

    Paul Cutler was the main force behind of 45 Grave along with Mary Sims aka Diana Cancer . Don Bolles was from The Germs, Paul Roussler (spelling sucks) older bro of Kira from black Flag and he was in The Screamers and finally Rob Graves from The Gun Club. I still have the gate fold Sleep In Safety grommets the 80s. Yeah, most of the uninitiated consider them a “goth” band we called them death rock in the day but they were straight ahead metal but they bounced around with surf & rockabilly as well, Surf Bat being a favorite Motley Crüe stole their sound a bit as well pentagram logo and candelabras on stage. They were one of my favorite bands from the 80s I wore that record out.

    You should do another video on this now that the Atlantic 75 version is out, if you went for it that is. I've never felt the album was recorded that well to begin with but the Atlantic 75 is still the best version I've heard.

    That's right, Garth Brooks music which is available nowhere except a specific way of listening through amazon, now requires research when he puts out a box set. 99% filler and repackaged things you already have as part of three other box sets but maybe something new if you research hard enough to find the tiny reason why some people might buy it. I'm a huge fan of the guy and he's my favorite overall artist ever and I also have several of the box sets but after blame it all on my roots and the Vegas Wynn hotel stuff, I kind of stopped buying the box sets at that point. My media server is completely up to date with everything he has done but too many box sets and now apparently he is selling them only through Bass Pro Shop???!?!?!? Garth you have gone insane! Also Garth please tell everyone where the bodies are. The families need closure.

    Great pick ups my friend. Will have to check out that Riot and the new Raven based on your response. I totally agree with you about he newest Accept. Blood Of Nations was KILLER KILLER KILLER and then it seems each album after has slowly taking a step down. To me it is the lyrics. They seem to get weaker and weaker each album. Great pick up on that Fraction. I grabbed that a few years ago myself because of Dylan's ranting and raving about it lol

      I loved those first 3 Tornillo albums, but Blind Rage is the one I pull out the most. That said I do like the last two albums, I would probably agree those...they lyrics are not the greatest. The new Riot and Raven are both killer. The drummer from Fear Factory started playing with Raven in like 2018, and since he joined the band they've been playing as fast as in the early days, and their last two albums have been great. I've liked everything from Riot. They're one of my favorite bands...and their new album has not left the rotation since I got it a few months ago.

    I really liked the new DP too Steve. They really sound good. Especially Ian Gillan. I only saw them once and that was in 1984 during there Perfect Strangers Tour. Last row balcony all the way across from the stage at the Providence Civic Center and my ears were still ringing the next day. One of the loudest bands I ever saw. But so so good. I can't believe that Heretic are still around. All original members?~ Rob/Boston

    • @harmlessrebel868

      Perfect Strangers tour would have been a great time to see DP. I didn't get the changes to see them until about 6 years ago. They were still great, but Gillan's voice was already going a bit. Heretic is definitely not all original member. They broke up in 88, the original guitarist revived the band in 2011 mostly new members. The current singer is the second singer who joined the band in 86 after Mike Howe left to join Metal Church.

    Hell yeah Steve! That Scarlet LP smokes! Nice find on a rare one for sure. Brazilian Ozzy would have come home with me too. Sometimes you have to wonder where and how did it end up in the local shop. It's like the vinyl trolls come in after midnight and secretly plant little hidden treasures for us to find. Agree with you on Savage Master. They are getting better in skill and vocal at a cost of loosing some of that raw charm. I still need to grab the new Purple. Cheers!

      I was actually in Brazil when I grabbed the Ozzy. It's a power cable ffs. if the psu is shielded well it doesn't do any diff. The best thing you can do if your super enthusiastic about your Sound setup is to run all the signal chain devices on a battery setup you charge overnight Or alternative use a UPS. And make sure all devices is plugged in with the live wire on the right pin to avoid Phase problems and ground loops. Power chords do absolutely nothing unless you have a faulty switch mode PSU somewhere that sends noise back into the power grid. then you can use a filter on the main supplies that dampens the noise if you don't want to spent the money on a new psu. (But do as you will have the service people of the power company at your doorstep once they find the culprit that sends the noise out. It's a major problem in areas where they use the power grid as internet connections. The noise usually sits in the same frequency bands that they use to modulate the data streams with, and it can also make sound systems behave erratically, especially modern digital power amps as they use the same tech to simulate a big old clunky well designed Poweramp. ONE faulty PSU in your neighbourhood can send noise back into ALL houses that is connected via the same transformer station. Don't waste your money on expensive power chords tho as it have absolutely no effect on the sound whatsoever. Use it on a a good UPS instead.

    • @harmlessrebel868
      @harmlessrebel868 Місяць тому

      Interesting. Don't think I've heard anyone talk about using a UPS on an audio system, though some of the power conditioner units do have battery backup built in. I'm actually already happy with the sound of myself system, just curious about all the people on UA-cam with my turntable talking about the difference they heard with a replacement power cable. I do hear a very slight difference in the high side of the mids, but am very aware that it may be in my head.

    Hey Steve. Better late than never. That was a terrific video! If you dig the Jet Black Berries, please check out New Math. New Math was JBB prior to changing their name to JBB in 1984. New Math records shouldn't be too hard to find & when found, are usually inexpensive. Their song, "They Walk Among You", from the 12" EP of the same name, received tons of college radio airplay in Chicagoland in 1981...yeah, I'm old. I also wanted to thank you & Jon for tipping me to Home Front...just superb stuff! Their graphics seem only "slightly" influenced by Gang of Four's "Damaged Goods" EP on Fast Records. That is praise, rather than criticism.

    The 2010 Ron McMaster cut is bright and detailed but still retains certain old school mid range, which was what Black Sabbath was all about. Kevin Gray's 2024 cut is even brighter and removes any trace of veilness from the album, but it kinda loses its Sabbath-y feel IMO. And I say that as a big fan of Kevin.

Nice find on the Overkill FU EP, I remember getting that back in 88 I think, had to have it 🤣 Zebra is awesome, yeah I think the ground rule for vinyl collecting needs to be "I Will Not Sell My Records" Cool find on that Ratt EP, that's the only one I have ever had, but I believe the Atlantic version of that is different, mix? Awesome Kiss grail!!! I have a NM of that album that I paid $2 for at a flee market 8-9 yrs ago but it's a 1977 RCA club press with that stupid extra song. My recent grail that I found was a VG++ copy of the Overkill EP from 1985, couldn't believe I saw it, could not get it in my hands quick enough!! Cheers

      Wow nice score on the Overkill EP. I found a copy a year or two ago for about half what they were going for at the time. Such a great EP. I'm curious how many still exist. I believe on 2500 or so were pressed, and I'ld bet at least half are gone at this point. I wish I could just hold on to all of my records. My shelves are overstuffed and I'm always bringing in new stuff...so records need to go out too.

      I think the pressing I showed is a late 70s, or early 80s pressing. It sounds great and they are not too expensive.

    Acid Bath rules! Great to see them have some love. I bought latest reissue of In Trance. Think it was on clear vinyl. I have copy of that Ratt ep that has bonus track "You're In Trouble". First two Ratt albums are great imo. One of my fave glam bands. Congrats for your grail! I got one of mine few weeks ago. No Trend: Dozen Dead Roses. Great punk band. They are known for their debut Too Many Humans which is 10/10 album. Cheers from Finland!

      Yessir, I love Acid Bath. Dax Riggs is great. IF you have not, you should check out his solo albums. They are bluesy with a bit of sludge and folk. Really good, and not super expensive. I bought them for about $25 a piece.
