It was only a matter of time before I work out how to do weapons. Featured is a small caliber repeating railgun. Download it here: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles...
I again find myself in awe of your ability to militarise the laws of physics for fun and profit. And your choice of music once again makes it even better.
Honestly that would take some of the awesomeness out of it, because then you're just using pre-built assets instead of making it work from a collection of repurposed game mechanics :D
Fuxx Choo What he (and people watching the videos) might like more is the ability to program/macro complex sequences of commands to the things already ingame like thrusters, motors, drills, etc, and bind them to keys whilst in the cockpit or even for remote control. The things that could be done with that... the robots, the incredible versatile weaponry, the intricate and helpfully mechanized bases... well let's just say they'd make for some awesome youtube videos and a lot more interest in the game heh.
ive been trying (and failing) to make a repeating railgun like this for a while, even with all the toys provided to me in SE nowadays, i still cannot make anything remotely as cool as this. nice work man
Amazing. Very cool ammo rack design, I'd love to see this design with munitions that used the new charges but I'm assuming that would take quite a lot of re-building as everything seems rather snug. Inspirational stuff though. Definitely given me some more ideas. Can't wait to have a PC that will run this damn game!
Remind me not to cross you in Multiplayer. That was brutal. With the addition of working missile pods and gatling guns, that ship could be a pretty formidable enemy or really great ally.
I want to remember the long-standing video "A Tribute to Destructibility". Could you give a list of add-ons used in the video? I was particularly interested in a realistic movement of the the first person camera and the helicopter (helicopters?).
Squeegy! I would love to see you putting a tutorial for this railgun. Explaining how it works etc. I downloaded it from the workshop and when I at last found out how to fire it, I was amazed even more than after watching vid. But when I wanted to figure out how it works, I couldn't find gravity generators. I guess it works on them?
So this ship must be stationary to fire its ammunition or it could cause a lot of trouble? would be neat if you could have landing gear holding onto the ammunition and then be able to release each one separately. I'm not to familiar with the mechanics of space engineers but I'm pretty sure that's not possible.
SqueegyMackoy It's a mass driver, not a railgun. A railgun requires direct contact with the projectile and high current flow to produce the magnetic field. I didn't see any contact there. Unless of course it's due to the mechanics of the game that it doesn't look like it's making physical contact?
Shooting down a diplomatic corvette, you my good admiral deserve a medal and commission into the Empire.
The weapon system, Amazing design.
I again find myself in awe of your ability to militarise the laws of physics for fun and profit.

This guy knows exactly how to make the impossible easy.
Nice use of the Gravity generator cannons haha
I just uploaded it to the workshop. Link in the description.
Thank you very much!
Hey! Im a big fan of your KSP videos... I was wondering when you would be finished Kerbals at War 3?
When it's done. The amount of time between the first two should be a helpful indicator.
SqueegyMackoy how much time was in between the first 2?
i dont trust youtube release dates
Don't you just love it when you can tear the devs design to pieces :p
Now all what u need are some warheads for that beast and your gonna be in good shape :D
You are going to enjoy warhead and missiles once we release them :)
Honestly that would take some of the awesomeness out of it, because then you're just using pre-built assets instead of making it work from a collection of repurposed game mechanics :D

The sound design really fucking sells it
Bravo

nice work man
the cinematography on this guy...omg...
I was recommended this ten years later and it still amazes me how good this is
Another dosage of awesomesauce. Great vid bro.
As usual I applaud your ideas!
This was a lot of fun to watch :)
This is beautiful, well done.
There's something distinctly brutal about lobbing low-velocity inert projectiles at a ship with enough mass behind them to rip it to bits.
this is some epic editing
nice work !!
Really Awesome video and design.
the best video evar about space engineers!!
Amazing design dude keep it up
just downloaded and rated thumbs up! keep up the good work!!!
That music... so fitting!
Also awesome design :D
After all those years the avatar has changed!
also that is one hell of an ammo clip system
absolutely amazing
for that cannon alone you earned a sub, amazing
... Your ability to make awesome videos is only matched by your ability to make epic ships...
I have no idea how you did it, but your awesome for it
Mackoy, you have outdone yourself, if this ship were real, it would be a very bad threat to traders. Nice belt fed cannon too...
Epic MONTAGE!
Battlestar Galactica soundtrack
is always a good choice for any space battle.
This is great!
Squeegy + space engineers = awesome
Ow, is that my brain melting from the awesomeness?
Do more space engineers!
Ah Squeegy, always bringing us what we want :)
This is very cool
That gun is wonderful, the shells lack impact though,
The ship is reminiscent of the Kodan mother ship from The Last Starfighter. Wonderful job.
This was made George warheads were added
When the actual combat comes out this will be the apocalypse
You sir, deservse a lot more Subscribers!
I feel like that looked cooler than it should. Still, pretty good weapon.
Good job!
that was so cool! :)
wow, amazing!
Wow, awesome!
This many one of the first machine guns in space engineers
I look forward to seeing what you do with the new warheads
great vid !
very cool video
love to see a revisit with torpedo mod
That is kick ass
before watching i added this video to ma favorites! :D
Pretty cool.

You got a good pc yet? 😄
Remind me not to cross you in Multiplayer. That was brutal.

pure awesomess
I hear Battlestar Galactica soundtrack...
I also
This design is still cool.
the sad thing is this can be done much easier now
but this was amazing.
Awesome!!! Keep up the good work.
Please put your maps on the Workshop.
Please.
holy @#$% that was awesome
Reminds me of the classic Kingon/Romulan Warbirds from ToS
Time to be diplomatic.
MOAR!!!
Maybe you could work some warheads into this design, for even more chaos and destruction.
awesom
Niiiice, any download links? I would love to reverse engineer this into something a lot bigger
I wonder how the rounds flew so fast from such a small ship.
Shooting down a deplomatic corvette? You honor less Peta'Q!
"If this is a counsellor's ship, then where is the ambassador!?"
now u can add warheads to it and make a little better missles
Would love to see you do this with warheads on the explosives.... and how you actually built something like that.
Wow.
Nice squeegy.
Looks like a Romulan ship from TOS.
Now you just have to put Warheads in the projectile
Who noticed the red spaceship from "Space Engineers - Being Industrious"?
Frakking awesome! Funny *ding 1:02
What I dont understand is why the small ammo "ships" are affected by the big ships gravity
Storming new Caprica! BSG! BSG!! BSG!!!
How did you get the missiles with gyros to release individually without making a separate landing pad attached to each? Amazing work though.
The ship looks a bit like a romulan warbird
Space Engineers at war! pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thum ups so he sees its.
battlestar galactica music
Niall Dolan Yes... but what's the name?
Gaden Kerensky I don't know, just the track you hear in it during fight. I'm not a major fan of BSG
Niall Dolan Hmm... everyone says it's BSG, yet no one recognises it.
Gaden Kerensky I do! It's from the assault on new caprica.
***** Thank you!
Only he could make that
I want to remember the long-standing video "A Tribute to Destructibility". Could you give a list of add-ons used in the video? I was particularly interested in a realistic movement of the the first person camera and the helicopter (helicopters?).

They're hidden in the left wing
Okay, thanks. I will lokk for them. This is by far the best railgun/gravity cannon I had seen in space engineers :)
looks like a romulan vessel
So this ship must be stationary to fire its ammunition or it could cause a lot of trouble?
would be neat if you could have landing gear holding onto the ammunition and then be able to release each one separately. I'm not to familiar with the mechanics of space engineers but I'm pretty sure that's not possible.
I'm under the impression its possible, but very volatile and unwieldy. Until we get proper sliding connections everything is a hack job.
Now try doing it up with a small warhead :)
Make it a bazooka :D
Do it again but with warheads on the missiles.
it looks like the romulan ship of Star Trek TOS
Thank you I thought I was the only one!
Poor Blue Ship.
storming new caprica
WoT sounds :D

how do you get the projectile to only fall once it gets to the barrel? strategically placed gravity generator? if so, where is it?
You do know someone has to fix that and it's not me xD
how did you get the torpedoes to fire consecutively like that, because I'm not going to tire myself using kinetic torpedoes?
are you going to put on workshop your creations any time soon? :)
............WOW
Why have you stopped making videos? You're so fuckin good at it dude :(
