😮 ...Um ... SEPARATING your Drums onto DIFFERENT TRACKS is SUPER EASY in Ableton. Just RIGHT CLICK on your finished beat in the TITLE BAR of a Drum in the CHAIN MIXER or the CHAIN LIST and Select "EXTRACT CHAINS." Now Each Instrument has it's own UNIQUE Channel & MIDI TRACK. Your Welcome ✨️😎👍✨️
Great point, thanks for providing that workflow tip. There are so many ways of doing the same thing in Ableton. My biggest challenges are always finding out which to show. I’ll keep the workflow you suggested in mind when producing future videos

The Drum Rack changed the way I produce. It’s so versatile. I’m glad it’s helped you too. How long have you been producing for, and do you post your tracks anywhere?🙂
@@RyanGoutier Hey! Yeah I'm definitely gonna mess around with it soon. I suppose I've been doing it for around 2 years now, which is a shock to myself after thinking about it. I don't think that's any testament to my skill level though, I haven't put in nearly the same hours as I am sure many others have, including you. I have releases on my channel under the release tab and on spotify by the same name. I do have to admit most of the instrumentals are not mine, I find it hard to commit to writing an instrumental a lot when you are trying to relax and just write some lyrics and you lack the confidence to create something you can find in a matter of minutes elsewhere. I got some basic rules I've created for myself when I do sit down and do it though, and I think I'll be figuring out how to incorporate the drum rack into that! I do this all for a downtime fun, publish stuff just to show my friends. But, hey if I'm happy enough with what I do one day, maybe it'd be worth treating it a little more serious. learning a little bit every so often along the way when you land on those gem videos, this is definitely one of them.
I listened to your tracks and I really like what you are doing! Especially your songs ‘By the bay. I’m excited to hear what you do next and
I’m happy that I could help you on your musical journey.
I totally get it about wanting to write lyrics in the moment. I feel the same about beat making but I’m trying to learn how to write lyrics instead. So, same but different 😄 and I appreciate the “gem video” comment🙏
If you need help with writing instrumentals, chords and melodies. I have a video for that. Let me know if you’d like me to share the video link here 🔗

@@RyanGoutier Right on! thanks man!
nice
Thank you 💙
You produce in ableton as if it was in fl ! funny and creative way to use the soft
Interesting you say that because I first learnt how to produce music in FL Studio, then converted to Ableton😄
What’s your DAW of choice?
I've been produce on ableton for about 10 years and this winter I tried FLand your way to produce really feels like your kept the fl pattern philosophy which is pretty uncommon in the ableton heads@@RyanGoutier
@@RyanGoutier just curious... why did you switch from FL. Studio to Ableton Live???
I only use Ableton but I've noticed many EDM producers prefer FL Studio. Not sure why as I have never used it in the past.
I find ableton Live a bit overwhelming, especially for newer users but I also appreciate all the features it has and the flexibility it offers, so I think I will stick with it for foreseeable future.
@@redpillbulgaria-v2.063 Great question, I found that at the time, FL was too limiting and I had reached my learning cap, FL felt too basic, and I needed to change that to keep progressing.
No offense to FL it’s a great DAW I just felt I needed the extra functionality that Ableton Live offered at the time. This was at least 7 years ago
Bro why dont i have the drum rack?
It should be under drums. If you search for it and look under all results it should also come up. Let me know if you find it. If not I’ll try help find another solution 🙂
