Nice podcast - Deviancy turning to normalcy! 1. Why this is happening- why the society is accepting it - why our moral values have degenerated? The simple answer is "Greed". I am not against capitalism or making money, but I am for earning an honest living. Also, sometimes having too much wealth corrupts people morally. The current generation has to set an example for the future generation. It's a responsibility. If young people, see successful people without moral values they are just going to imitate it, and the society will go on a downward spiral. 2. Also, the fight between extreme right and extreme left will cost this country. With an immoral and revengeful person as our to-be-president, we are already standing on a cliff. 3. Trump's policies are NOT based on any logic but purely on revenge.
Frankly let’s see how long Gaetz and others last? Trump needs a scapegoat at all times. His administration was a revolving door. Politicians are employees. It’s time that we start treating them like employees.
(1 hour later) Gaetz is out already LMAO. He got the nomination, left the house, so they could quash the ethics report that said he was a pedophile, and dropped the bid.
Listen, I mean c'mon, let's get real. We've got a three point plan. First, the one thing, it's the first thing we're gonna do. Second, number two, we're going to do that just a quickly as number one. And third, number three, we're doing it & getting it done. Do you think I'm some kind of lyin' dog-faced pony soldier?

Ordinary Americans claim that they're mad about high prices but then literally voted for Trump's policies which are inflationary. What can you learn from that?
@@i_like_beer-o2f Ordinary Americans are bigots? And have always been bigots even when being a bigot means no one gets to use the swimming pool? Departments, divisions and bureaus throughout the country rely on public input; give and take between professionals and the business community; and other conversations to set rules and regulations for industry, health, environment, agriculture, etc. Outside of local government, the administrative state is one of the last bastions of democracy in the United States. The point of the picks is to destroy this form of democracy because Trumpers despise democracy in all its forms. But I guess, Stephens' interpretation works too.
Hmm this really isn't a helpful use of anyone's 9 minutes. Summary: - the logic of Trump's cabinet nominations is to wear down our standards - but we can choose to raise our standards (like we did with the 90s crime bill when Americans demanded safer cities, says Stephens) I'd suggest that right after a close but decisive presidential re-election is not when anyone needs this simplistic reminder.
I suspect the choosing days are coming to an end. I know this is the simple version but if Trump has worked out how to feed 49% of the population to 51% regards assets, values, power, control, key jobs, contracts etc. Then he could be in power for a long time. His crew knows exactly who voted for him and how to make life hell for those who didn't. All 3 houses and the supreme court, in the hands of trump. I'm glad I left.

If a woman should be believed about sexual assault, should not a man be innocent until proven guilty. Allegations should not preclude you from a position. If they did, who would be qualified for anything.
When there is evidence concerning a man or a woman predator, it should be judged by a jury of peers. The standard for one of the highest positions in the country, however, must be much higher. They must be beholden to constitutional law, and at least vaguely taking the actions of a moral human being.
