SKIP to 3:20 to see me actually driving mb, 1st few minutes were me being dumb founded by the fact that it was actually working. AFTER 6:23 it's really just just me talking lol 😆 😂.
nice videos!! one thing you should look into is getting a pro tune rather than the OTS tune... would probably get better performance and probably safer on the long heavy pulls
Cars getting a rebuild and should hopefully be getting run on E85 and will be getting dyno tuned as well. Hopefully she's alot faster with a 2.5 xtr blouch dominator then this vf48.
Dude what do you have done to this thing. Looking at your spedo you were at like 170 almost. I hAve an 07 wrx thats been sti swapped with full bolt ons pretty much and ive only had it at 150. Felt like it maybe had a little bit more but not 20mph more
The turbo is a VF48 I bought it off a guy that had A STI Type RA , and the car had a stage 2 91 ots tune, but the car was always ran on 93, that and an invidia high flow cat downpipe, and Crawford performance gymkhana exhaust FULL CATBACK NOT AXLEBACK. And stock intake, that's it honestly I think the tune gets rid of the top speed limiter hence why I was able to go faster then 155.
@@MrDjvas damn bro ive got more done to mine and yours is still faster. Gotta talk to my tuner😂 and ahh okay that makes sense why it sounds so good lol. Thought about getting that exhaust but i dont want cops fucking with me
@@Dirtbikerider927 I'm currently getting the car rebuilt as we speak, should be done by this month, block Is an iag stage 2.5 closed deck, heads are gonna be slightly built with Cams and a higher redline of 7500 hopefully, also a blouch dominator 2.5 xtr on e85, so im hoping for 400whp when it's all done, and it's probably just the tune to be honest, if I had to estimate car is only making like 330hp. And as for the exhaust if you watch my other exhaust video, it's not too bad just when you get on it lol. I'd reccomend it to anyone that's OK with being heard but for a perfect mix I'd recommend a muffler delete while keeping resonator on, that's what I used to have and that was the perfect mix for me. But I know what you mean though about the cops, NH cops hate me, but MASS cops don't tend to mess with me.
the reliability depends on you how you drive it how often you do oil changes and regular maintenance my engine blew on my 06 sti but that’s because i would be the crap out of it :) there a pretty penny to get rebuilt but there crazy fun to drive hope this helped 🙂
If you're looking for a car you don't have to maintain at almost exact intervals then get a Honda or Toyota. They're not so picky about when to do maintenance and you can beat the shit out of them without having to worry about much. I love these sti's a lot but like sturdy said, they're not cheap
Yo bro you should do a video telling the story of the car and as for a setup you should put the car with the hood opened in the background and sit in front of the car
I had thought about something like that but it just depends. I'll probably do a walk around of the car, keep my face out of it lol but still go over the car.
Hey! I was wondering how much i could possibly find an sti similar to yours but stock for, do you happen to know a rough estimate? I can’t really afford one right now but once i get a job I’d like to save at least 10-15k to buy a project car/weekend car to work on with my dad😅
Honestly I bought my car for 15k at 129k miles, now she's got 173k miles I believe and is gonna have a built engine, bigger turbo etc and while mods don't technically add to value I wouldn't sell my car for a dollar less than ATLEAST 20k... having the work being done by a reputable shop and doing extremely tedious maintenance helps like oil changes every 2 to 3k miles and other major fluids like coolant, power steering , brake fluid, tranny, and rear diff every 10k miles, IDC about the 30k interval I'm doing it at 10k. When you see that on a carfax it means the vehicle has been taken care of. Truth be told if you've got atleast 20k of buying power you'll have options if you want something clean I'd go to California but expect to pay close to 25k for a clean one. I got mine stock at 129k. But paid 15k. But that was also years ago. So your better off looking around the new England area aka subaru country and finding one that's around 110k miles and make sure proper maintenance has been done on it for its current mileage like water pump and headgaskets etc. Have 20k of buying power save up atleast 5k to put down and have another 5k in liquid on the side to fix things incase shit hit the fan. On my car personally I've already spent 50k including the car...... I've replaced every major component on this vehicle minus the rear diff. That number also includes some insurance stuff too. ALSO while these cars aren't exactly rare, they are getting rarer so I expect the prices of them to go up in the next say 5 years.
@@MrDjvas I figured it would be expensive but Jesus that’s way up there, but I can see why they’re that much. I guess I’ll look at some other car’s until I know I can afford to have a subie. Although right now I don’t need to worry about finding a first car anymore since I’ve got a truck now haha
@@parkerspencer3503 I’ve heard that before, do you think the owner would be okay with me asking to get one done? (Ofc I’d pay for it, idk how much it is or what it really is but if it saves me money in the long run then hell yea)
Honestly at that speed I probably wouldn't stop, especially in NH.... fuck those problems.... MA honestly isn't that bad I'd stop for 130 in 40 and would feel alot better about that then say NH going 90 in a 55. MA doesn't report any of my tickets to my state/ on my record so if I ever get any ticket I just pay it. NH on tbe other hand reports everything and I gotta fight those.
Ehhh, I'm already on my 3rd engine in the third year of owning this car. Gotta pay to play. Sucks but it is what it is. Tryna order a hellcat jailbreak or get a zl1 1LE. Probably ZL1 because even after options its 25k cheaper...... I can do alot with 25k. Like more subaru parts....

Appreciate your work man!
Please make more videos lol this is what I've been looking for. Especially if you work on the car.
If you seen my late to work video and my city pov videos I'm sure you'll like the content I've got coming out once I get my car back from the shop.
She sound insane , hey btw is your setup is louder than a tomei setup with catless ?

Make sure it’s had a leak down/compression test. Otherwise prepare to pay multiple thousand in expenses.
