As a professional cannabis cultivator I can confirm that Thomas explained THCa in the simplest form but he was correct. I use to harvest super early to avoid CBN and other compounds that would be considered "Sleepers". I have terrible ADHD so having flower that is mostly THCa and THC (all clear and cloudy tricomes) is a real benefit and it will not test high is "THC"
Its my understanding that THCa is present in almost all weed, lots of the time in higher concentrations than THC when testing. High temperature removes the carboxylic acid group, resposnible for not allowing THCa to cross the blood brain barrier, converting it to THC. When growing cannabis, phenotypes, strains and growing conditions, as well as harvesting time and post curation all can be used to manipulate the cannabinoid concentration in the plant, exactly what you were saying with CBN. This can be done to promote any specifically chosen cannabinoid. I think the legality of THCa has pushed for cultivation of much better quality flower that contains higher amounts of THCa and lower levels of THC. Let me know if any of this is incorrect haha, im not a cultivator, just a chemist lol.
@@psychoactive3532 bro you're super smart that's correct even beyond my understanding. You're the type of person I would need to explain things to people and then I go "what they said, it's too early to chop run 5ml of calcium chloride before flush".
But yes all those things can be used to manipulate and encourage the production of the cannabinoids you want and steer the effect of smoking the flower. For me the biggest deciding factor is chop time and exposure to UVA UVB radiation during drying I usually avoid any sunlight for at least 48 hours after I chop them I also tend to chop at the first sight of an amber tricome because like you said the cannabinoids react and change even after processing is complete

@newmexicocannasprouts7627 Its super interesting, i did a study on it recently and cannaboid profiles can change significantly when running extractions as well. Even when making rosin, temperature, pressure and squash time can all influence the final proruct cannabinoid ratio. It was a study on trying to statistically determine things like CBN/CBD/THC/CBG ratios for products that target specific illnesses. Anyways, thanks for the info man.

I went through the same thing with a pit bull we took in we tried introducing it to our other dog and he locked onto his nose I remember trying everything even sticking my fingers into his mouth and trying to pry his mouth open with all my strength and then pulling them out because I realized he would probably just bite them clean off but it was just a reaction he has our dog and he’s crying as he’s basically trying to pull his nose off and I felt so bad I tried biting his ears as bad as it felt I tried pulling his nuts, hitting him yelling at him we even tried putting a wrench inside and twist it to unlock it and Nothing was working until we finally had two guys on each side with two wrenches and we finally got it unlocked it was crazy once they lock their jaws it’s nearly impossible to get them to unlock it I’m still surprised our dog kept his nose afterwards.
