The first story really hit me. I had almost the exact thing happen to me it’s crazy. I barely have come out of that relationship and I felt so suicidal like I wasn’t enough. I was such a free happy spirit and extrovert, went out all the time with friends and turned into someone who was a sad lonely person who hated myself and never thought I was good enough. Im free from it now and im slowly learning to love myself again. I hurt so much for anyone who has been through this don’t let someone define you. I know it’s easier said then done but your worth so much more…
If you’ve seen Moana there’s the part where she’s walking towards the volcano goddess and she’s singing that short song, it’s my favorite part, makes me cry every single time. It’s got more meaning to me now than it ever has but there’s a line that goes “they stole the heart from inside you, but that does not define you.” And I just thought of that. I’m proud of you, for getting out of that and for learning to love you again. ❤️

Being a man it's hard to admit this sometimes but this exact thing happened to me with my ex wife. When I stopped letting her control me she left and I literally had nobody. My mom and the friends I did have left took her side. She even sold my dad's guns to a pawn shop and took the 2 dogs we had and a few months later sold them too. Unfortunately for her I got them all back. The guns and the dogs. When she found that out she called animal control claiming abuse. They ended up having her up for making false allegations. These people are just horrible
She deserves it for staying so long she deserved what happened to her

As an older woman who has been through many things, one would consider trauma. Just move ahead and get the hell over it. Seriously. I know that sounds insensitive, but really, I mean well. Life is NOT going to stop turning for you, people will not be kinder for you. What trauma should and will do, is make you stronger if you decide it will. You can decide to be weaker or stronger. Seek counseling or whatever helps you. Leave PTSD to people who have really been through horrific things repeatedly.
You decide to be a survivor or live as a victim.
That said, I am genuinely sorry traumatic things have happened to you, and I am praying for you to come out stronger too. Don't give up, you can do it!

My last girlfriend used to date someone like that before me who bordered on the abusive and controlling. He used to come to her house asking for sex when she was in a relationship with me. She had very low confidence it was a shame for her. I still miss her😔
Same. And his name was Mike. It was a bit triggering for me. Domestic violence is a nightmare.

The first story brought back a lot of memories. I went through this before. Just a lot of manipulation and abuse, it made me even more depressed than I was already. I felt like I wasn't able to leave, my life would be hell if I did. But I am happy I survived and was able to work through it. I'm not longer with him, I'm so much happier now.

57:16 What about “Double Jeopardy” You can’t be charged for the same crime twice? Does this not apply in South Africa?
I mean, it sounds kinda fishy, how would he not know she wasn’t in bed with him? He would’ve had to get his weapon from wherever it was, and would’ve then looked at their bed and see she wasn’t there- And why would she lock the door if it were just the two of them in the room, if she wasn’t afraid for her safety- He should’ve gotten Murder in the 1st degree the 1st time; but the Double Jeopardy “clause” protects people from exactly what happened to him.
So, the judge and prosecutors messed up the first time, he did his original sentence, and then they charged him again: it’s not right, but.... It might just be fair. 🤷🏻♀️
Guess we’ll never know what new evidence was submitted. Such a sad & weird case.
