    Awww... Sorry for your cam and lifter problems. I was going to recommend SLR and was surprised to hear that a SLR came/lifter failure. Also sad to hear that Steve had passed. I had him surface a W110 cam and some vintage Eaton lightweight lifters several years back for my engine - it's working great. Hope your engine has minimal damage 🙏

    The nice thing is the engines are so easily torn down. Are you gonna do a few more performance upgrades internally while it’s torn down?

    That is nasty on the sump magnet area! Good troubleshooting progress to identify the lifter failure.
    It will be interesting if you can show us more when the motor is fully stripped down. I hope you don't lose too much of it, though, through the failure and "shrapnel" damage.

      Thanks Robert! I'll let you guys know once I get it apart. I'm sure the case will have some damage, but hopefully it can be repaired!

    Not only you gotta pull out the motor and split the case your gonna have to clean your stock oil cooler if you have one if you have an external oil cooler you will also have to probably buy another 1 you might have a bunch of pieces stuck in there somewhere or even shavings.and clean your oil Galleys.

      Its aet up as full flow, right after the oil pump is the filter, so nothing would make it past that, thankfully! Regardless, I always pull the case plugs and clean the galleys. Both oil coolers are downstream of the filter, so no trash in them.
