Thanks for the make-up recommendation, it looks great on you. I would have to agree with Lee. It’s ’getting me into trouble’ I’ve never heard of giving me into trouble lol.
Oh my! The walks and drives are breathtaking!! Stunning!! Thanks so much for sharing!!! Giving me trouble is a phrase, but not giving me into trouble. 😊
A lovely way to start 2025. You two make me giggle. Your walks must blow you away with how pretty it is. How warm do the summers get? The ice is crazy. A proper cold winter. Your vlogs last year really inspired me to enjoy cooking again xx
@ that’s not too cold. And the temperature in the summer sounds pretty similar to the Cotswolds we range from 18 to 25. I was in the highlands in Feb last year it was so beautiful. I can’t wait to explore at some point again. Xx have a lovely week ahead
Happy new year to you both. Skye looks beautiful. In England we’d say getting me into trouble, but Scotland could be different. Your conversation with Lee about it, made us chuckle. 😊
Hey Caroline, Firstly a VERY VERY happy new year to you both and of course the wee doggie. I hope 2025 treats you kindly. I'm SO happy to see you back. I absolutely loved Vlogmas so its good to see you all again. Your vlogs in Skye are an absolute dream to watch and you are so lovely to follow. Have a great new week. xx
12:46 Caroline! I’m gasping at this makeup! I’m a freshly turned 25 yr old girly who also has a highschool makeup routine and I was literally just thinking about researching some new light products to revamp my routine during my 1/4 life crisis and the way you are GLOWING?!?!? You’re gorgeous anyway but damn catch me running to the Merit site. Loved seeing yours, Lee’s and Nuala’s adventures this week 😊❤ haud hogmanay from Canada! 😄
Happy New Year. Loved the blog. The beach picnic looked great. I have to agree with you Caroline and say it's "giving me into trouble" when talking about someone giving you a row. 😊
Happy New Year! Wow, Scotland in the snow looks incredible. Love Merit and your make up looks very pretty! I agree, it looks a lot less flat and very natural x
Happy new year to you too! I love cosying up in a comfy chair to watch your videos, you are my #1 cosy UA-camr for sure! Also the colour of the sweater you wore when talking about the Italian/French music looks absolutely stunning on you, gorgeous!
Hi Caroline❤ I spent my Christmas break binge watching all of your videos! I so love your channel! I hope one day I'll be able to move to Skye as well, but I have to finish university first. I'm reading Atomic Habits too, I enjoy fiction more, though. You and Lee are both right about the trouble thing😂😂 when it comes to general English Lee is right, but give a person into trouble is correct in west Scotland. Happy new year xx
So good to see you both! Wondering after you all. Tartan skirt is fantastic & yes the drive was outta this world! People without pets seem wired differently than those with them. Lovely to have a partner with so many of the same interests💯
Happy New Year! It feels a bit strange going back to one vlog a week after so much lovely content for Vlogmas, thank you for sharing your December with us 😊 110% agree with having vintage music on while pottering about in the kitchen, the best vibes! Love the French & Italian, some other faves of mine are 1930's-40's Big Band Jazz or 60's Bossanova 😊
You have such beautiful skin and look beautiful without makeup. But that new make I have to say makes your skin just glow. And what absolute beautiful scenery and photography. Have you made a video about what made you decide to move to Skye? If you have I've missed it.
You are absolutely glowing with that new makeup routine, Caroline! It really feels like “you” 💕 I’ve been using the Merit complexion stick for years and it’s the best I’ve ever found! Happy New Year 🥰
I read once that in Paris at the turn of the century, the man always sat with his back to the restaurant/café (like Lee was sitting) so he couldn’t look at other ladies and only had eyes for his date .. now I think of it every time my fiancé and I go out!
Definitely not giving me in trouble, it’s getting me into trouble ☺️. Try soft jazz in the morning while making breakfast and eating it, it is so nice💖!!
I think I need a Nuala (sp?) to get me out for daily walks! Was quite surprised by your kebab (unless I was hearing the word wrong?) as here 🇨🇦 it is a stick with chunks of meat that you grill. Yours looked delicious as well though Also, your cottage is such a inspiration to me of colours, wall decor, art, etc. so lovely
HNY to the 3 of you. Caroline, you are right with giving, I would say it that way too, it's a Scottishism Lee. New Metit make up looks so fresh and lovely on you btw. PLease could you tell me where the wee lamp on your kitchen shelf is from please, I'm needing a bit of romance in mine 😗
What a lovely way to start to a Sunday morning, thank you :) (ps "to give someone into trouble" is 100% right to me, in all its forms - give/giving/given/gave/get/getting/got... It's the same with "to give someone a row"... if you want to throw that one into the mix too..! ;).
I can confirm as a teacher that giving me into trouble is correct and a completely different meaning to getting into trouble. The children would be getting into trouble but it would be me that would be giving them into trouble for whatever they did.
My kids' school call it giving into trouble all the time! I correct my kids whenever they say this, as it doesn't make sense! Sorry Caroline, I side with Lee on this one! 😂
I *had* to comment when I heard the story about the car that broke down on Skye! My husband and I were on Skye this spring for our first getaway since having a child two years ago. 30 minutes after arriving on the Island, my husband who thought he was driving through a "puddle" at a reasonable careful speed, hit the biggest crater/pothole in existence. We were also only there for two nights! Not only did it bust our tire, it completely warped and destroyed the alloy and our car was unusable!. We waited on the side of the road with many angry people behind us and trying to get by. (and several other broken down vehicles.) The team at Ewen Macrae was so awesome though and helped us figure out what to do and brought us to our hotel. Would have expected my Scottish husband to know more about the roads, but we were fully unprepared for how bad they could be in certain areas. He ended up having to board the bus to Inverness to get us a new rental and we ended up only having 24 hours on the Island. Sure wish we had bumped into you!
Loved the chat in your van . Getting into trouble in the USA and I really like how you turned it on Lee! very cute and funny! How do you spell Lee,s name? Leigh?
Caroline, how could anyone spirit's be down surrounded by that beauty? Happy New Year from 🇨🇦 Glad you found Merrit and appreciate the discount. I use too.

A lovely way to start 2025. You two make me giggle. Your walks must blow you away with how pretty it is. How warm do the summers get? The ice is crazy. A proper cold winter. Your vlogs last year really inspired me to enjoy cooking again xx
It’s actually not that cold and summers are not hot
Not that cold, minus 5 May be and summers are not hot with rain. The highest temperature I had experienced in the highlands was 25
@ that’s not too cold. And the temperature in the summer sounds pretty similar to the Cotswolds we range from 18 to 25. I was in the highlands in Feb last year it was so beautiful. I can’t wait to explore at some point again. Xx have a lovely week ahead
it's getting me into trouble, but i like how your mind works!❤
Happy new year to you both. Skye looks beautiful. In England we’d say getting me into trouble, but Scotland could be different. Your conversation with Lee about it, made us chuckle. 😊

Merit is great and winter in the Highlands is just so special. My favourite season to travel there ❤

Happy new year! Love your videos! Giving me into trouble IS a phrase! I'm from Glasgow and we say this! 🤣😁
THANK YOU 😂 I think it may be a west coast thing ahahga
❤so sorry to say, but the phrase is, “ getting me into trouble.”😊 Thank you for the best combo of cozy kitchen and brisk winter views. Happy 2025!
Those snowy scenes, just breathtaking 😮❤️ is it always like that in January/winter on Skye? Gorgeous wholesome vlog ❤
Happy New Year! It feels a bit strange going back to one vlog a week after so much lovely content for Vlogmas, thank you for sharing your December with us 😊

Inspired me to take my son to the beach this week for a wintery walk - thank you! (I’m just soaking up the last part of my adoption leave with him)
That’s the loveliest thing to hear ❤️❤️❤️
Lee is literally my favorite person. (Other than you Caroline)😂😂😂❤
Happy New Year Caroline, Lee and Nuala. Such stunning scenes on your walks and THAT sunset 😍

“Getting me into trouble” and “giving me trouble”I believe are the only ones i know but im Australian so could be another version ive never heard of:)
Caroline… “Giving me into trouble” does not make sense 😂 sorry x
Agree! Lee 1, Caroline 0 🙈. Sorry Caroline 😂
There is “giving me trouble” and there’s “getting me into trouble” but never “giving me into trouble” 😂
😂
It’s getting me in trouble but I LOVE GIVING me into trouble! 😂😂😂
Maybe ‘getting’ is a US thing? 🇺🇸
Lovely video.
You are absolutely glowing with that new makeup routine, Caroline! It really feels like “you” 💕 I’ve been using the Merit complexion stick for years and it’s the best I’ve ever found! Happy New Year 🥰
I love the "giving me into trouble" conversation. 🤣 Sorry, another in agreement here with getting instead of giving. ❤️
Aw, you were so confident on "giving me into trouble"! Fully agree on Squid Game though - should've been a one and done!
Love everything about your vlogs Caroline ❤
Thank you 🥰
I've never heard someone say "giving me into trouble" 😅 only "getting me into trouble" or "you're giving me trouble" ❤
Happy new year 😊
The views are breathtaking!
Never heard of”giving me into trouble before” haha.
As a hardcore Lee fan, I just gotta agree with Lee on this one 😂 loved the vid, Caroline 🎉😊 thank you!
Stunning vlog! Love watching. Where was your lovely picnic at the end? X
Braes Beach & Ard Peninsula 👍
Don't doubt yourself Caroline, "giving me into trouble" in the west coast means you're being given a telling off!
Only on the west coast. Not the rest of Scotland.
It’s definitely either “giving me trouble” or “getting me into trouble”. You seem to have combined the two 😂
Happy New Year! I missed you three! This was a lovely catchup. 💕 Sorry, I think Lee’s right (though I’m a US viewer) 😛
Loved the car picnic 😂 laughing. Sorry I’m with Lee on the trouble chat. It’s getting me into trouble.
Really noticed all your music choices after you mentioning them, nice choices!
Aw thank you!!
I read once that in Paris at the turn of the century, the man always sat with his back to the restaurant/café (like Lee was sitting) so he couldn’t look at other ladies and only had eyes for his date .. now I think of it every time my fiancé and I go out!

Noooo ahahah surely not 😂 but also yaaaay hope you love your new pieces!!
Getting me I think 😂 wow stunning views I’m so jealous ❤️
It was good for a laugh no matter how it’s said!
Wondering if you have to put winter tires like we do here in Québec (Canada) durant winter (Dec through March)?
HNY to the 3 of you. Caroline, you are right with giving, I would say it that way too, it's a Scottishism Lee.
New Metit make up looks so fresh and lovely on you btw.
PLease could you tell me where the wee lamp on your kitchen shelf is from please, I'm needing a bit of romance in mine 😗
Do you have a recommended spotify playlist or artist for vintage french cooking music? Sounds like such a mood!
What a lovely way to start to a Sunday morning, thank you :)
(ps "to give someone into trouble" is 100% right to me, in all its forms - give/giving/given/gave/get/getting/got... It's the same with "to give someone a row"... if you want to throw that one into the mix too..! ;).
Gal, give us a “pottering around the house” Spotify playlist stat 😍
you look incredible with a red lip omg
Thanks so much!! Used to be my signature look!
I can confirm as a teacher that giving me into trouble is correct and a completely different meaning to getting into trouble. The children would be getting into trouble but it would be me that would be giving them into trouble for whatever they did.
Thanks for the support mum 😂
My kids' school call it giving into trouble all the time! I correct my kids whenever they say this, as it doesn't make sense! Sorry Caroline, I side with Lee on this one! 😂
Who are we to argue with education establishments 😂😂😂 sounds like I’m right!!

Sorry Caroline but Lee is right on this one!!😂

It's maybe a west coast thing. I'd said "given me into trouble"
I think you’re right!!
Caroline vs Lee - trouble debate! Sorry Caroline, your man is right ✅️ 😂 but I love how adamant you were 😂
One thing I’ll do is back myself 😂😂
@carolinemcquistin 😂😂 Absoflaminlutely! 👍
Loved the chat in your van . Getting into trouble in the USA and I really like how you turned it on Lee! very cute and funny! How do you spell Lee,s name? Leigh?
You should definitely do a calendar with all those beautiful shots I would think they sell like hotties 😊 hope you have your thermals on 😂
I would say it’s either getting me in trouble or giving me trouble depending on the sentence 🤔
She would have given me trouble, or gotten me in trouble. Lee is correct.
As a fellow west of scotland girl, i would say "giving me into trouble " if someone was giving me a row.
Only on the west coast as someone who lived and worked in Ayrshire for a few years. Not in the rest of Scotland
Lee is right
Getting me into trouble not giving sorry caroline
I think Lee’s right - soz 😁
Nooooo ahahaha
Lee is right,sorry Caroline….❣️🇨🇦

Also the car meal is real - sitting in the quiet or finding a view
