This has to be one of the most amazing city drives ever. The mix of green parks, amazing architecture and the water of the lake. Just amazing. Thank you for sharing with us.
Thanks for the drive Mike! When's I-294 coming? Also, I was wondering if you would do I-88 and I-355 as well? Maybe I-80 and I-94 too? Plenty of highways to cover!
Always love it when you get closer to the Loop coming from the Southside, the buildings just keep getting bigger and bigger... I spent a lot of time along that lakefront trail! The only thing you're missing is this... ua-cam.com/video/0saZiLV7-7E/v-deo.html Love seeing the Chicagoland videos!
is there gonna be a video done on the history and culture of lakeshore drive on the other channel? wouldn't mind learning bout lakeshore drive and how it came into being!
Honestly I like N Lake Shore Dr better than S Lake Shore Dr. The north of Lake Shore Dr looks nicer because the trees in the median look nicer, while the south has very few trees in the median and some parts of the south doesn't even have a median at all. Also the street lights look nicer. Those tall black street lights in the south of Lake Shore Dr look ugly. There's more exits in the north part and the road is elevated in the north which I prefer elevated roads. I live in the south part of Chicago and I really don't like the south. The north side of Chicago looks much nicer because the highways and train railways are all elevated. And the streets look nicer in the north side.
I remember when you did your top 5 drives video, Lake Shore Drive was not ranked because you hadn't been there yet. Now that you have, how would you rank it? (Particularly the part north of 67th Street).
Not sure yet. I've since driven on a few others that I like as well. I'll have to sit down and think about the next video. This one was definitely up there though.

Nice ride along lakeshore Dr in Chicago
Lake Shore Dr. is such a view on any good day! I love it. I noticed where the video stopped, is Hollywood & Sheridan.
I have heard of Lake Shore Drive, thanks for showing us.
"LSD". One of the most famous roads in the world.
@@thebabbler8867 also is a good Aliotta Haynes Jeremiah song
I'm very sure people like me will enjoy the big city land as well as water in this city, and this is exactly the biggest road for them!

Lakeshore Drive is a beautiful drive, except the traffic.
Great view of soldier Field
US Route 41 continues on Foster Ave exit and heads northbound into the northern suburbs toward Wisconsin.
A lot of people don't use turn signals in Chicago.
Correct.
TY. Camera definitely has image stabilizer - at least ten miles of Chicago roadway in the video.👍

Yeah I wouldn’t mind doing a video on it. Working through some other stuff on the list first though.
Enjoyed the ride. Was not expecting the heavy traffic though. Is it like this on a regular basis?
Yep. You'll rarely catch it free flowing. This was on a Sunday.

As a former local Chicagoan... I hated the S Curve in the Gold Coast...
