Is anyone else a fan of the channel but maybe not typical for the community? I’m not religious, not a parent and don’t really want to be, value my career, and lean left yet I also value creating a beautiful home, being extremely feminine, making myself beautiful for my husband, classic aesthetics and traditional gender roles…I feel like I don’t fit in anywhere ☹️ but I appreciate that Caitlin makes everyone feel welcome on her channel ❤

I'm pretty sure there are many people here who don't align with everything she says 🙂 I live a different lifestyle as well. But I like her energy, her vlogs, practical beauty tips etc.

Me! I'm not religious (I do consider myself spiritual), definitely NOT traditional, don't have children (and probably never will), not right but also not left, I'm doing tarot readings which she probably wouldn't like at all...but I do like her and her content...she has good energy, like you said. ❤️

I.. sort of relate! I adore the traditional feminine homemaker role, but I also need to work because I financially support my old folks and I wouldn't want to put this burden on my husband.

Your comment about femininity as a mechanism for pulling you through difficult times, nurturing others but also nurturing yourself, really resonated with me. Many times in my adult life, through extremely difficult seasons, I have thought to myself that I have to "be my own mother now," as a way to motivate myself to take care and eat properly, clean up, be kind to myself etc. I thought it was strange, but apparently its not so unusual! Now that I have a baby I'm grateful to have had some practice through applying nurturing to myself and my husband before he came along.

What strikes me over and over is how intuitive you are. I admire you a lot because you are so quick to see what’s going on in your life and put yourself into ACTION, rather than just talk. You are who you say you are and you are so aware of yourself. Thats a very unique talent and I think what sets you apart from most people! I hope your channel keeps growing because I wish you would be an example for more women out there who always wished to have a sister like you❤

I completely admire you Caitlin. Not only do you focus on the external actions to embrace a feminine identity, but you emphasize the source of this, which is the interior life. Your sharing of your interior struggles and what you focus on to combat them is encouraging and a breath of fresh air. It brings the idea of femininity to its truest form, which is embracing who we are as women created in the image and likeness of God, to love and to be loved

I completely relate with logging off from energy draining activities, like internet controversy, conspiracies, etc. after becoming a mother. I realized that it's a matter of survival. Nurturing your household, child, self, and focusing on what we can control in our life rather than things that are meant to inspire fear.

That little section with you talking about being more open-minded towards other women and their birth stories, and being so encouraging towards those can't (or choose not to) approach motherhood in that very narrow and "traditional" way. I just thought it was so sweet and empowering, and I really hope your words reach the women who need to hear it because I have absolutely felt the same in terms of feeling judged. Your message was really inspiring and uplifting, so thank you. :)

As a fellow Christian Mama of almost 3, I just want to say that the amount of children we have/when we have them is so individual, and I believe, designed by God for each of us personally. The more I learn about God, the more I realize that He will either give our hearts a longing for something if it is right or a stupor of thought if something isn’t or isn’t right right now.
I had 2 babies pretty much back to back as well, and my second had/still has tons of health issues. There was a time when we were in the thick of dealing with his issues that I wondered if I could actually handle more kids. This broke my heart because my longing was always to have many children if it was at all possible. And I felt very strongly that I had even had some experiences with some of my babies that haven’t been here earth-side yet. Time passed, and my son found a lot of healing and so did I from the trauma of a special needs newborn experience. And the longing in my heart or the lack of being content I guess in a way, was still there that I had more babies. Right as soon as I felt that, I got a very unexpected positive pregnancy test for our 3rd child. 😅 I’m sure there are many people who think we are crazy for having 3 kids in 3 1/2 years especially after having a child with many medical needs, but I could not care less because God is the one in charge of my life and not anyone else!
All this rambling just to say, that God knows more than we do. Sometimes that journey is 8+ kids or sometimes it’s just 1 and done, and both are totally beautiful and designed specifically by him. There is no exact right way to have a family. And I think that feeling of being content with what you have is a very good sign you are listening to what God has in store for you right now, and that is so admirable! We should all follow the Holy Spirit more to guide us in our lives. 🥰

Don’t be so quick to call your past self and povs cringe. You will change again so much, the world will change, you might find yourself having the same or even more different opinions in the future. Your feminine in a feminist world video wasn’t even that wild, it might not be you now, but it was pretty respectful. It’s okay to have your beliefs. You can have your beliefs without being mean (and you’ve been great about that) and without being fanatical or judgemental. If it wasn’t something sinful you did or said, don’t apologize, you might be different but that doesn’t mean you were wrong.

it really is so much easier to do gentle parenting when they're young and little like yours it's when they get to about the age of 8 and up that that gentle parenting starts becoming a lot harder because they constantly want to push boundaries and especially for the people that don't provide any consequences to their children the children continue to do the same things over and over despite natural consequences.

I resonate with so much of this!! Flirting and keeping in shape with your spouse, being grateful and expressing that to them, being grateful to others doing generous things for you, and definitely that becoming a mom made me less anxious! Very little phases me now because having 5 young kids! I definitely can’t control nearly everything, so I try to be rational and also mindful as a parent.

Caitlin, I've been following your channel since 2019 and it's really had a big impact on me. You taught me that it's ok to be soft, creative, authentic and that I don't have to be a "boss lady" to be a happy woman. After having an overwhelming career as a high school teacher, I decided that I wanted to have a slower life and my husband is so supportive of that. Honestly I can’t believe how shaming the home birth community actually was until you talked about it. Usually it’s the other way around! So many people push hospital births in my area because I live in the medical capitol of the world lol. From someone who had two home births I could honestly care less about where someone gives birth or how. I’m so sorry people who have had home births ever shamed women for not doing it. That is crazzzzyyy!!!! Honestly I’m more concerned about how people adjust into mother hood rather than where they gave birth. Everyone is different has different places they feel comfortable giving birth. It’s such a personal thing and my heart really goes out to people who feel shamed for where they want to birth there babies. That they have to push out of their OWN BODY! Sorry end of rant. I love you Caitlin!!!! Your content is so relatable and enjoyable

I loved this Q & A! Honestly, probably one of my favorites I've ever watched. I felt so encouraged throughout to pursue my own health and joy as a mother of 4 small children, just all of it - the marriage encouragement too. ❤️ Thank you, happy new year!

Mrs. Midwest I just would like to thank you for your wisdom in femininity and for your ability to share with us. It's because of your channel that I also found myself in a healing season and I fully understand the need we have in us to nurture ourselves in order to cope with the world ahead of us. I'm in 14 minutes of your video and I am praying to God that He will keep you still and shining in any aspects of your life. Thank you sister 💖

You've impacted my life so much! I started watching you in 2020 as a very single girl who was looking to become more feminine and cultivate natural beauty. Now I'm married and starting my career, but your videos mean as much to me now as they did then. You make me feel less lonely in a city where I know so few people

Happy 2024 Caitlin 🎉🎉🎉 and to your husband and those two sweethearted sons of yours. I'm late to this vid b/c my job had me running right into the new year (literally lol) but it's good to see how open and honest you are about how you changed from what you once were and who you are now. I saw the emotion in your eyes and I felt it while you were talking. Even after you stopped crying, the emotion was still there. What you have to understand is how important you have become to many of us. The niche you have created here can be your own, you don't have to subscribe to anyone else's version of "traditional living/lifestyle"; you can come up with your own version, which is basically what you're doing right now. You are very talented when it comes to imagery and storytelling-- that can be used in multiple ways b/c you are great at vlogging. Be your own brand and don't worry about others, even if they have something to say; ppl will talk no matter what Caitlin.
I have my own journey that I'm on too and I've changed alot since I started watching your videos. The only difference is we have different circumstances, I'm not married yet and I don't have children (which bothers me, I can't lie but I've learned that if it's meant for me to be a wife and mother, it will happen, I can rush or force it and thats what I was trying to do but I ended screwing things up w/ the guy I wanted and confusing myself in the process. No matter what the biological clock says, I can't force anything, that's one matter lesson I had to learn in 2023.
I live in the midwest too and whether you live in the lower peninsula or the upper peninsula, many areas can be isolating and you can feel alone so I completely understand where you were coming from when you spoke about that in the video. However, once you find an outlet to ppl, it makes you feel alive and you don't want to let that go. I understand that too.
I look forward to seeing more content this year and I can't wait to see how you grow into the niche that you have and are creating for yourself and your online community💯💯💯

I have always, always appreciated how you stay true to yourself and allowed yourself to grow and evolve and focus on what is important to you, depending what season of life you are in. We are very different people but I love that difference, as your content still resonates with me and I will always click on your videos. Thank you for your authenticity, your generosity of spirit, your intelligence and your big, beautiful heart. May the next season of life allow you to flourish even further. Merry Christmas to you, Grant and the boys and many wonderful blessings for 2024. Much love from Australia xx

I can relate SO much to the first question about having more kids. I am currently pregnant with baby #2, and my husband has developed some health issues that opened my eyes to the life I currently have and how I don’t wish to have more, because we never know what could happen. Being pregnant with my last baby has made me emotional that I will never have these exciting times of finding out I’m pregnant, announcing, giving birth, etc., but also, everything has a season and it’s okay if that season has passed. ❤

Wow, this video came to me in such a good time, I’m working in corporate and just about to get married on this August. Was always stressing about the house chores-work balance while keeping a peaceful attitude towards my soon to be husband, felt like I was not feminine enough since I was working at the same time and not a successful homemaker. Always prayed to God to give me an answer out of all this heavy anxieties surrounding me. Hearing your thoughts and your rational look on those things really made me feel much more lighter! Love your mind Caitlin…Can’t say how much thankful I am to feel seen by you 🩷🩷🩷

Being the first born daughter in Asian working class family it was hard to be soft and feminine and take care of me because all i knew growing up was that i got to set example for my siblings, help parents stay afload and so on. Life was hard and my inner child is just looking for a way to heal and be her trully self.
Its channel like yours that help me go through life. I needed a feminine sister who shows me how to navigate life with femininity and i found you ❤ I hope I'd end up with the right man that I could finally be a wife and mother someday, until then I enjoy life nurturing my femininity while watching your and other feminine energy content creators' contents ❤

Hey Kaitlyn I love it that you take care of your own mental health first in order to nourish your children. I think that's what's lacking in our current societal climate - calm and happy people. I also wish to be calm, happy and healthy for people around me. Thanks for making these contents. Thank you so much for sharing your story of how femininity saved you! I believe nourishing my own femininity has helped me so much in my own life as well.

Amen on the number of children! There are some families at our church that are very loudly anti-family planning but without any financial awareness or thoughtfulness about stewardship of the children they already have. It feels icky and legalistic and I'm always reminded of the Bible verse about planning the foundations of a tower before building. I do not care for it when it seems more of an idol / prideful thing and I appreciate your stance and your community being respectful of you. Two boys sounds lovely ❤️
Edit: big families are beautiful and we have lovely godly larg families at our church too 😊 it's when it feels forced on other I don't care for it

The conspiracy thing you said really hit me as I always see people I know get too involved in it and even I want to get away because I can feel it and it brings me stress sometimes, even though I am interested in some points, some peoples stress energy over it brings me down. So beautiful! I’m so happy to grow in feminine sisterhood with you. You’ve been such an inspiration to me and I have a very similar story. I always knew I liked girly things but I didn’t really realize how connected to femininity it was and it’s more obvious and special these days especially when my generation likes to impose the narrative that gender is just a construct. For me it gives me a lot of purpose and I really love being a woman and embracing that side of myself. I felt it when you said femininity is nurturing and even if you didn’t experience enough of it from people in your life, you can give it to yourself. Found this channel at the end of a dark place and then I started searching for a Godly masculine husband and my life has improved drastically since I watched that first video in 2019.
