The 728' Joseph L Block flirting with the Crowd! Heading out of Duluth light, heading to Silver Bay

    About this visit:
    A ship that treats the Boatwatchers with multiple Salutes!
    They arrived Duluth May 26, 2024 at 01:20, cruising int town at 5.7 kts. Coming in with a cargo of Limestone loaded at Port Inland and Dolomite from Port Dolomite for the Hallett 5 dock. They arrived at Hallett 5 at 02:34 and began discharging their cargo. Finished discharging and departed Hallett at 10:25. They departed duluth at 11:35, heading out at a speed of 6.1 kts, heading to silver bay to load Iron Ore. Cruising down the lake at 12 Kts, they arrived at Silver Bay at 15:38. So now you know it takes a ship about 6 hours to sail from Duluth to Silver Bay.
    This was their 6th visit to Duluth for the season.

      Depends on who is at the helm of the Bridge. One of them seems to reply to at least 2 salutes. Generally speaking, they are only expected to reply on 1 salute.

    I like the way the transcript interprets the voice interruption when the Block gives her master's salute as music. And it is indeed music to the ears of many of us. Thanks Paul.

    Paul why haven’t you been able to do a tour all over a boat you seem to be working in that type of field for many years. Why are you not doing videos like that do they have rules in the industry ??? Many thanks
