I just ordered the JDM Seiko SBTM319 radio-controlled solar watch with a green dial. Introduced in 2022, $364 USD. SS case, sapphire crystal, Lumibright, power save function, perpetual calendar, 100 meters water resistance, anti-reflective coating, antimagnetic, Seiko calibre 7B72 movement, over-charge protection, and quite a few functions related to the radio control feature (available in Japan, China, the US, Germany, and the UK). Quite a nice feature set for the price. After I placed the order, I noticed another very similar model except the case and bracelet were titanium instead of SS (though price tended to be higher at most sites selling it). I currently have a Citizen Promaster Land Titanium EcoDrive JDM that is a great watch and sold in the same price range, but its radio control is mainly limited to Japan, so I'm anxious to see how well the Seiko performs. Update: 8 Aug 2023. The watch arrived today and it's a beauty! The finishing reminds me of several of my more expensive Seiko Presage watches.
I love the JDM lines. I recently bought the SCDC037 Spirit for £150 online from an AD in Japan. The dial and applied indices look amazing. Bracelet was not good as expected, but easily replaced at a width of 20mm. Total cost of £220 with postage and a new bracelet. Wears great as a daily.
I wear one to work in a machine shop every day.. the band, case and bezel are scuffed up but the crystal remains flawless. Keeps time almost as good as my grand Seiko sbgx261.
I would be extremely appreciated if you can make the review of sbpx143, that clean dial really meet the design of GS . In addition, I am wondering whether sbpx143 has the same pattern on dial like this one since the images of sbpx143 show no clues of it.
I found out about Sakura from you. I never clicked any links. They should be paying you. I cannot be the only guy who discovered JDM’s through you. I have spent thousands through Sakura & Seiya. Of course, it was across umpteen accounts (always use my work email), but these sites force that by giving you a discount with a new email.
@@AverageBros Are the SBPX147 dials more gray compared to the black dials on Rolex? In the end, I'm wondering if the dial itself is pure black, not just grayed out by the reflector.
@thedeciderer43, I just bought one today and was charged ¥5, 480 for DHL shipping to California. No taxes. I did read that with watches under $800 there is a much smaller chance of being charged for import tax to USA - but there is never a 0% chance. There's a lot more info in forums for import taxes when buying from Sakura watches online.

I'm thinking of getting an upgraded bracelet from Uncle Strap but not sure which one will fit since it's not listed on the site.
@thedeciderer43, the watch just arrived today and looks even better in person. Natural light makes the watch look amazing. I got a great fit ( I have 7.25 in wrist). Definitely recommend. I have the Seiko SUR307 and was debating between this one and the SUR311. Glad I chose this because the fit is much better for me.
The dial colour seems to be a bit greyish rather than completely black, and I'm wondering if that's actually the case or if the light reflection makes it look that way.

These are gorgeous. How loud was the ticking? I've been scarred by quartzes before
not too loud or noticable to my ear, while dressy, not some super thin underdamped piece by any means

SBPX147 - caliber sucks, not accurate.
+-15 sec a month under normal temps. i guess its pretty average for an old movement.

I have an sbpx143, and it's had less than 1s lag in one month of usage. Plus it hits all the markers perfectly unlike SUR.
