Bumped into this by accident. I am a Scot born near Edinburgh and spent a lot of my weekend nights in the city when younger. I am glad you enjoyed our country and thanks for this well done vlog. I think I just hit 3k for you.
I hope you're enjoying all our steps!! Very hilly city. Whilst you're here, check out Greyfriars to see Bobby the dog, and see if you can find Tom Riddell grave. Loads to do here, you may need to come back!
I visited Edinburgh for the first time in July! It was my favorite place along our UK/European vacation tour. I fell in love with the city and can't wait to explore more of Scotland! Really enjoying watching your trip unfold! Thank you for bringing us all along!
I cannot believe you went to Scotland! That is one of my dream vacations. I'm so glad you went there and allowed me to see your experience! I love your videos! Thank you so much.
Jackie... Gemma and I try to sneak off to Edinburgh every time we go over to London to see her family, usually around Christmas time. I am so glad you got to see how amazing it is. The Christmas Market there is by far one of my top favorites. Happy New Year!
Another wonderful video and so very glad you got to visit there! Edinburgh is truly my all-time favorite city in the UK! I found the people there so much friendlier than in England or Ireland, it's an easy-to-navigate city and as you have witnessed some of the greatest foods! The beef and salmon are so fresh and delicious, some great breakfast places as well, and some awesome bakeries. Also, don't forget that Saint Giles Cathedral was the first place Queen Elizabeth was laid out(as she adored Scotland) before being taken to London. I was there in November, was still cold, but was able to hike above the city by Holyrood palace. That city is so charming and can see why JK Rowling was inspired by it and wrote when there. Happy 2023, and cheers, and wish you continued well-deserved success!
The Queen wasn’t laid out in Edinburgh because she loved Scotland. She died in Scotland. Otherwise her coffin would never have been paraded up here. Wouldn’t have left England.
Wow! Scotland and castles! Sounds like a perfect pairing to my quiet coffee time this morning! Happy New Year Jackie & Sam! Thanks for helping make 2022 an amazing year. -Troy & Aimee
