I wonder if Phil still gets up late, except on Wednesdays when he gets rudely awakened by the dustmen.

Pork 🥩 life
very good!
If he has Leslie in the sack ..the absolutely defo
PLZ
Phil Daniels u r a fabtastico actor ! Mwah ! Love u always xxxx
Memory popped up. I am from Cincinnati and 1979 was when they had their concert and 11 people were crushed to death. They came back and played Cincinnati as part of a "healing" btour thing. There was a whole documentary on the concert and aftermath.
Yes. Very sad .
Gordon Sumner as Sting, LOL
🎶Gordon is a Moron
So a film in 79 about the happenings of 64.
Can you imagine a film about the style of 2005?😒
Yeah tbh. They could easily make a good rave movie now
Sting was super educated, he had degrees, qualified as a teacher, an untouched musician and singer. So all those having a dig, try and fill up a postage size bit of paper on what you have done in life.
is dad was a milkman he was real working class family
I think that is the guy out of the band Darts who is intv them?
🏍️🏍️🏍️
Phil Daniels must drink in the Blind Beggar
Why?
Bdoom doom doom doom doom doom doom doom …
She didn’t get to say much !
Phil was a good actor but sadly he never made the grade
he was excellent at playing cockneys . He was also really good at ermmm playing cockneys
@@martinworld7214 that's all he did unlike his bud ray Winston
Sting really hamming up a faux London accent.
I think Sting would be a bit embarrassed with that comment about The Who when you consider what he became within the establishment.
That bloke was and still is such a complete absolute 100% W⚓
@@dorkbrandon4422 ?
Dork Brandon hit it on the head.
i thought sting was Feddie starr at first
Me too lol
Freddie Starr looked more like Mick Jagger.💋👅💋
specsavers
It was great we had a whole beach; wipes nose on palm
I love that the actors are totally in character in this quasi-interview.
If that's true, i recommend spinal tap and wrestling
Roger Daltrey wrote in his book that The Who were never really mods themselves, but they attracted a mod following at the London clubs they played. I think back then they covered a lot of R'n'B classics which the mods liked to dance to. But The Who are essentially a rock band, which is a bit of a paradox.
except Pete Townsend in many of his early interviews refers to himself as a mod and aspired to being a modernist
Sting saying that the Who behaved like if they were part of the establishment -- priceless ….. and already very smart ….
Sting would know better than anyone. He was a sellout from day one and the fakest punk rocker who ever lived, a total bandwagon jumper. At least The Who were true innovators and actually put some blood, sweat and tears into what they did before they got rich and lazy.
@@silversnail1413 All credit to The Who becoming successful and rich, but you can’t seriously accuse them of being lazy. They are still touring, and when they are not they have other worthwhile ventures going on. - like charities….
@@malcolmthompson597 Is Roger Daltry still breeding salmon ? Laaavely 😂 Think Quadrophenia hit the cinemas around the time of Scum too ?
the polcie were never any sort of punk faked or otherwise @@silversnail1413
sting so cool....sarcastically stating that the who had become establishment....I could see him smirk
Great film !! So many great characters. Leslie Ash has always been gorgeous, what was she thinking of going for the trout pout 💋🙈
I wish we could have heard more from Leslie Ash.
She was so cute. ❤️
No, proper order
She was really fantastic looking.
The great Den Hegerty, loves his Darts! 😁
I was about 14 when the Quadrophenia film came out and it made me want to be a mod. Still liked Den Hegarty (the interviewer) when he was part of a wonderful contemporary doo-wop band, Darts.
I first seen it in 1979 was on a double bill with Scum and Phil daniels and Ray Winstone were on both you got your moneys worth back then 👍
Thanks for that ... just checked He is still alive and doing well in Devon! Good man! He does voiceovers and did quiz shows too it seems.
Great insight into how they were back then, imagine them eating pie and mash in a cafe now they'd get mobbed by the selfish brigade lol
Jimi glimmer do you mean the shellfish brigade?
Never had a pie and mash i am up North 🤔😀
I wonder if they'll make a film in twenty years about today called Quadrosenior. A story about a 60 year old salad dodger who rides a plastic Ebay tat-laden auto scooter.
QuadroCodger!
theyd be on mobility scooters, with loads of mirrors, chasing the Elvis fans in their 80s, also on mobility scooters, but with cow skulls perched at the front. The pills would be bladder related, and the soundtrack would include "Can You Hear The Real Me", "Dellboy" and "Pain Over Me"
@@meisterlymanu5214"The Dirty nappies" instead of the Dirty Jobs! LOL All pilled up on gout meds.
sting proving that all rebellious teenagers become the establishment later on in life. . .
Can’t believe Ace puts sugar on his pie n mash 😂 bet that was the first time he’s ever been in a pie n mash shop
In the UK we pour salt not sugar
Love every song on quadrophenia ❤
I'm not a big fan of the who bit when I watch quadrophenia I love them makes you proud to be British
Which album?…there are two…the 1973 original which is brilliant or the Film version which is also excellent
the man who interviews them is the singer in darts the band
I thought that was him, he had dodgy eyes I remember watching him do Daddy Cool as a kid lol
Yes den heggerty
@@porkscratchings5428 wasn't that Boney M
Quadrophenia was filmed Sep 25, - Dec 1978. This was 6 June, 1979 (35 anniversary of D Day) promoting the film not released in the UK until 16th Aug. 1979. By this time Sting was already huge with The Police, but the inteviewer seems oblivious to that,
PARKLIFE!
it always makes me laugh when Jimmy calls his dad an old spunker!!!
😅
Sting, another ex geordie who likes to pick n choose when he's "from the north east"
Ha ha fair point T C
@@GEricG Isn't it sad that all these people are turned by money it would seem,...is their any famous person out there who is still 100% genuine to their roots?
His phoney accent in this interview is hilarious.
Why has this popped up? I really fancy double pie and mash now.
Shame I live about 110 miles away from Kelly's down the Roman!
Leslie ash pre trout pout
Every year is the same
And I feel it again,
I'm a loser - no chance to win.
Leaves start falling,
Come down is calling,
Loneliness starts sinking in.
But l'm one
I am one
And l can see
That this is me
And l will be
You'll all see l'm the one.
This video is an ENIGMA.
wrapped in a jimmy riddle
The interviewer was in darts !
Indeed he was.
Very often it’s the casting of the characters that make a major contribution to the success of the film. Mmm I could murder a cup of tee !
Awesome Film and album..think we all could relate to some of those lyrics..can you see the real me and her fellas Gunna kill me ooohhhh fking will he 👍👌
Phil reminds me of Keith Moon
Yep agree ....If they made a movie about the who back in the day ...Phil would have played his part perfectly im sure 👍
Leslie Ash yummy
Darts
Looks like the bloke out off Darts
When the interviewer thinks 'he's' the star. :0/
Who didn't fancy Ash ?
My favorite part of the movie is the pie and mash scene.
What’s that even taste like? With extra liquor
Jimmy dont forget your towel his mate who is a rocker says the great Ray Winston
Jimmys friend, kev, is not a rocker in the film, as he states he doesn’t care about mods and rockers and believes underneath everyone is all the same
@MichaelWilson-It5lv
@@gaminggator9557 You are right there 👍
Interviewer kind of just dumped Phil Daniels and Lesley Ash, when Sting walked in?
iam Biker rocker & still love this movie👌👌well played & acted👌👌what makes me laugh though the mods all liked the who which is A rock band lol🤣😂if they loved the who they should have been rockers not mods🤣😂
The who was mods tho
Yeah when they began they were the high numbers playing zoot suit and i’m the face then they changed direction My Generation is heavy as kinks you rally got me … times were changing 👍
Heavy Metal came from Mod anyway. The first bands to use Marshalls were The Who and the Creation used massive amplification when most bands were using Vox AC 30's. First "Metal" song was The Kinks " You really got me". Led Zeppelin evolved from The Yardbirds and Deep Purple evolved from The Searchers drummer!
We are the mods ,we are the mods we are we are we are the mods
i've lifted a few thangs from the itn archives myself knahmean
Mod for it
Leslie Ash was stunning, shame she wrecked her looks through plastic surgery.
Thats the guy out the darts.
Damn, Leslie Ash's backside in those jeans and 70's leg warmers!
Is that Darts' Den Hegarty?
You know full well it is , stop asking stupid questions
I noticed Sting didn't eat the Pie & Mash probably alien to him lol.
Sting wasn’t middle class so what are you talking about? Pete was.
Alan Shine He's from Whitley Bay. Are you for fkn real ?
@@nkmcfrln Who said Sting was Middle Class? Let's be honest he certainly was up himself do some research you'll see what I mean
@@Mod-rw9cw I think you'll find London Traditional Pie & Mash not a Geordie thing, as I'm sure their Pie & Mash is nothing like London Traditional Pie & Mash hence my comment. The Fact his from Whitley Bay means nothing.
@@Mod-rw9cw He's from Wallsend.
Was that guy doing the interview in the pop group "The Darts"
Greatest movie ever
She's still cool as hell. Who hero worshipped her when they were a kid? I did. She has got so much Charisma, and always will have.
Apart from her fish lips now.
Stop trying to look like freddy star.
Cupid stunt
This should have been included in the Blu Ray... Love from a Mod, in regional Victoria (Australia)
No one touched the pie n mash !!!!
The Who lived those days!!!! They were there 🙂
Take it or leave it my son,Take it or leave it, we are the mods
Fack off I’m not carryin all that fackin change abahht!
Well hey. Daddy Cool,,,Daddy Coollll
Ash didn’t have a lot to say
"Know what I mean?"
Stings hypocritical pomposity front and centre as usual.
Stingwas far too old for the part,he looks like someone's dad hanging round with his son.

Yes I thought the same and he was pulling a few strange faces in this too.

Love futurama, bender was great
The absolutely gorgeous Phil Daniels, beautiful Leslie Ash and amazingly brilliant Sting!!!! I recognise the guy who interviewed them but can't remember what band he's in! :)
I think the interviewer was the keyboardist in U.K Squeeze.
🎯 Darts
Dan Haggarty - Darts
He was in darts
Dan haggerty from darts ,went to see them in Reading hexagon, mid song Den climbed up on to the balcony ran round the wall railing ,climbed down the other end and back on the stage 😮 that was in the days before health and safety 😅
