Very stylishly and thoughtfully presented museum, offering a great deal of information, both about the history of bicycles and the latest ingenious bike design. I particularly liked the pull out section, and it is a pity you only had limited time available to go through the exhibits. Missed Thuong’s reactions !
Wow, need to check out this place once I resume travelling. Thanks again & catching up on your past 8 videos. Sorry, just too busy with pickleball nowadays. 😅
I love Shimano, been very reliable and long lasting for me. Had trouble with SRAM brakes getting pistons stuck, switched to Shimano a few years back and no problems. Their dynamo hub I have have been running years now! Many thousands of miles. Even though it was an LX model - they put their best bearing surfaces in it and dura ace seals. I have put it through muddy Scottish bike packing and rain in England and it is still holding up. Heavier than a German Sun dynamo hub - but much more cost effective.
Cool museum, really like the pull-out bike display section. Looking forward to when you go to Italy and check out the Campy museum (if there is such a thing). 😊
Wow, who'd ever thought they'd have a Shimano Museum in Singapore, great display, thanks for videoing this Cruise, I had one of those on-tyre dynamos on my bike as a teen with a high & low beam light, now my bike has a Shimano Hub Dyno as standard equipment teamed up with a German Made AXA70 light system. Oh, and Shimano make great fishing gear also, especially their reels.
Great museum. Liked the view of of the bikes through the ages. That low rider in the 20s! Really needed to mention the Rover Safety bike though, it seemed to be missing? Also they need to add a gravel bike alongside the cross bike now and explain the differences! But awesome museum and thanks for sharing it with us.
Hey Cruise! Quick question: do you still have a "job"? Other than TWC stuff? Does Thuong, other than her walking videos? Sorry to ask personal question like this, I’m trying to figure out what reality looks like for you as I’m trying to think about a life change for my wife and myself! Thanks 😊
I’m in two minds about Shimano. On one hand, I have an affinity with them and most of my bikes have had at least some of their components. But on the other hand, I feel as if their effective monopoly of cycling has caused a stagnation in bike tech. You can see on that board how little things have changed in the last century. And that has also turned the bike world at large very conservative, with the discourse dominated by old white men who don’t want change. But having said that, I would never say no to checking out a bike shop or museum. It’s definitely really conflicting.
From a consumer perspective I actually like less changes on my bike tech and more part compatibility. Most advances tend to lead to proprietary parts. But yeah, it's always good to have some competition around. Shimano still dominates Asia though.
@@TwoWheelCruise I think you can have significantly more advancement than we’ve had over 100 years and still retain good compatibility. We could have more regulation for that now too because proprietary parts are definitely a problem at the moment.

Yes, Shimano is super reliable and durable.

Italy is awesome! Hope we can go one day together.
This is some of your best content in a long time. Loving it!
Thanks! We were in hyper explore / video filming mode for the full week 💪
Shimano bike museum should show what they are famous. Shimano gears.. 👍
True haha
That Sven Nys cyclocross was my favorite!
That was cool to see!

It was a nice surprise! I bet their fishing gear is also really good.

The gravel bike is probably gonna be the next update haha. The low rider was pretty sick too, I wonder how people viewed it back then.
Nice Video Cruise , Just wondering if they said who makes the Shimano frames on their support bikes ? Thanks
Thanks! I'm not sure, but I would guess maybe Giant?
Nice bike museum 👍
Great to see this
Thanks! It was really cool to see in person.
Very cool. I lived in Seattle 1984-1998 and loved the bike expo! So much cool stuff I couldn't afford 🤣
Yep, bike events can be so much fun / torture at the same time 😂
Next time you can conduct a talk over here in this place. 👍😊
Probably would've been better that way.
cool place!

We are fully self employed, but we do other work online. We don't make enough money from UA-cam alone to pay our bills unfortunately.
awesome!

Can’t believe I never seen this place 😅
Easy to access and worth a visit if you're in the area
Omg!!! I this that is おのだ at 5:21, isn' it?! Haha! =D
Wow, good eye! Glad the new season is finally airing 😀
Really 🙀!!?? Didn't know that! I pay more attention to #YowamushiPedal from now, eh!! ありがとう Cruise-くん 💪🤓
@05:30 I see a book that I have. “The Beligian Hammer”. I have an ebike with all shimano components including a shimano steps motor
Good eye! Haven't read that one yet.
@@TwoWheelCruise you might like it. It’s about how young cyclists get into riding the Tour de France. Tough stuff
Hasn’t changed at all since my last visit in 2015.
I guess they don't update it often.
Are you still in town dude? Can go for a ride on Saturday!
Sadly no, back in Vietnam. We'll try and come back soon though.
@@TwoWheelCruise cool! Night ride next time 👍
Did you see that bicycle? That is the first bicycle in the world 4:49
Oh wow! I didn't realize that at the time.

Hi guys, you haven't cycling along the Rail Corridor. Let's do it and I will guide u. PM me guys.
Thanks! We have a video there coming up soon
Lot of empty space in there!
Some amazing retro bikes there, tbh i prefer them to modern bikes which look much the same as each other
Yeah, nice to see some diversity in bike styles.
