Awesome Video, its by fast the best 'RC Cam Vid' on youtube now. Also it just so happens that the fastest ive ever been in a real car is 149Mph, and the speed of everything rushing past on the car cam, is just the same as what it looks like irl. it's like a different world up there lol.
Thats what I risked everything for! Thanks man! Distrubing aero is huge, as well as risking my gopro if anything bad happens. But in turn I didn't want it in a body because you could barely see anything clearly. I've always ran gopro outside of the bodyfor years above 120 mph anyway so I had the wing mount available to begin with

Really like the onboard video, especially with the speedometer. It makes it feel like you are there and how quick a pass really is. Do more of those. MORE! :) Its so hard to see where the car is when you are starting and when the car is getting up to speed The only suggestion I have is to put the max speed under the current speed. We want to see that max speed number while the car is decelerating.
Gotcha I don't believe the editor I use for the GoPro will allow max speed to hold, but I can compensate that another way

I think the personal best is achieved regardless if you have a gopro and gos connected. That's two readings, in addition to the gopro ride-a-long footage. We witnessed and seen first what you accomplished. But if that's the rules to run twice so be it. Anyway now we know what 150mph looks like in an RC car.🤜🏽🤛🏽👍🏽💯🔥
Usually if you set a record, you need to achieve that goal to count it legitimate. Even though the first time was legit. I am very happy to ensure it did it on another day in different conditions to confirm the vehicle can keep pushing that speed.
You saw the first pass, that was one. I don't usually count the GoPro gps speed. But had the Skyrc gps module on to confirm 150. So I'm pretty happy I confirmed 150 again. Now I can move on up in the setup
Too funny, I bought the same SCX24 also from RC Boca around May last year. it was the only one I could find in South Florida or online.

How do you like the delta plastik C8 body any aerodynamics issues? Blow overs ? Tires rubbing?
I love this body. Everything has been perfect for speedruns. Have no idea why people are influenced to only use the Jag or gt1 body on a 1/7 vehicle

Video suggestion for a test.
So, you know how many/most RC's claim top speeds out of the box that are not attainable. My theory is that they don't test the RC's top speed but rather post the mathematic potential top speed based on the max RPM of the motor, gears and tires without considering load or friction.
My suggestion is to test actual out of the box top speed, then hook up your EDF"s and set it so it only overcomes friction and load, so the car almost want to start rolling. Then see what speed you get and how close it is to the advertised top speed. Probably not scientific but interesting to see.

FYI, C rating is a multiplier. A 65c on 6000mAh would be more amps than a 70c on 5000mAh. 390 vs 350.
You are correct! But that is theoretical if the sticker label is actually legit. They're close but not entirely on. As all battery manufacturers are. Depends on the solder tabs, gauge wire. All the little things to give something an edge. But, yes. You are correct otherwise! I believe I think too technical
@@InnovationRC I actually like that you share the techno-babble as Tlabot calls it. Yes, without testing, we are at the whims of the manufacturer. I was just poitning out the C issue as I see people stuck on C rating alone trying to run a small mAh light pack with a higher C rating and shocked when it doesn't give them the punch of a larger pack with a lower c rating.
Did you know you can put the camera even further back on the car with a strong stick/beam. And put one part on the car and connect the camera to the other the back of the rc car will be seen on camera but there’s a risk the car might fall back
