I don't think 'respect' is the right word. And certainly not 'admired'. Honour in others was a tool to be exploited. Shamima Begum is the greatest victim in all this.
Darth Scizor is a red, metallic, ant-like Pokémon with yellow and black patterns on its pincers which resemble an eye pattern. Its body consists of three main parts: the torso, the abdomen and the head. It stands on two legs and has a pair of small wings located on its back which are used to control its body temperature, rather than flying.
Emperor Palpatine's respect for Boba Fett, the renowned bounty hunter in the Star Wars universe, stemmed from several factors that set Fett apart from other mercenaries and bounty hunters: 1. **Professionalism and Effectiveness**: Boba Fett was known for his professionalism, competence, and ruthless efficiency in capturing or eliminating targets. He had a reputation for completing difficult assignments successfully, often employing a combination of skills, cunning, and technology to achieve his goals. 2. **Reliability and Loyalty**: Unlike many bounty hunters who were driven purely by credits or personal gain, Boba Fett was known to adhere strictly to his contracts and maintain a sense of honor and loyalty to his clients. This reliability made him a valuable asset to those who hired him, including the Empire. 3. **Independence and Autonomy**: Boba Fett operated independently and was not easily manipulated or controlled by others. His ability to navigate the criminal underworld and interact with various factions, including the Empire, showcased his autonomy and resourcefulness. 4. **Fearlessness and Resilience**: Fett's fearless demeanor and ability to handle dangerous situations, including facing formidable opponents like Jedi, contributed to his reputation as one of the galaxy's most feared bounty hunters. Palpatine likely admired Fett's ability to navigate and survive in such perilous environments. 5. **Unique Skill Set**: Fett possessed a range of skills and resources that set him apart from other bounty hunters, including his iconic Mandalorian armor, advanced weaponry, and the Slave I starship. These assets made him a versatile and formidable adversary or ally, depending on the situation. Overall, Boba Fett's combination of professionalism, reliability, independence, and effectiveness in his craft earned him the respect of Emperor Palpatine and others in positions of power within the galaxy. This respect solidified Fett's reputation as a legendary figure in the Star Wars universe, even beyond his association with the Empire.
Though not force sensitive, Boba had likely a taste of the dark side and held a personal hatred for the Jedi. Witnessing first hand, the decapitation and supposed murder of his father Jango by Mace Windu in the execution Arena.. For Sidious, this meant Boba was more of a potential ally than a mere money driven goon.
Also Jango witnessed the Jedi butchering his entire Mandalorian clan in an ambush. He was the sole survivor and he got to kill a few Jedi in the process, a couple of them with his bare hands. He was sold as a slave because of that. I'm sure Jango made sure he thought Boba never to trust a Jedi ever.
Man, it's crazy that Disney could make SO MUCH MORE MONEY and good will if they allowed Star Wars Legends to continue being developed along side their Canon Universe. It could be like Marvel, where there's the MCU AND the comic Universes at the same time.
I'm quite sure that beeing in Palpatines good books is worth much more than any bribe. Palpatine had limitless resources. He wouldn't care if Fett charged him ridiculously high prices as long as he is reliable and gets the job done. Even Vader respected Fetts professionalism. When he was worried that Solo could die during the freezing process and loose his value Vader guaranteed him compensation for his loss instead of threatening him to shut up.
I do miss Prince Xizor being canon. I know it's just nostalgia, but he was cunning enough to juggle other crime lords, and even deal with the Emperor, and Vader, to certain degrees. That also might bring Guri back, and having an alluring woman that could effortlessly snap an unsuspecting Wookie's arm would be great.i guess Dash Rendar, too, especially since Harrison Ford got so tired of reprising Ham Solo. Oh well. Personally, I feel Boba Fert is often overhyped, and I like him less with his miraculous heart of gold that he never had before, or in Legends, but I don't feel that should detract from the skills he certainly does have, and it's right for others to fear, and even respect him.
This is great compliment by Palpatine. He respects results above all else. And Boba was EXTREMELY capable! It's great he admired and respected Boba so much. Boba is the best bounty hunter in the galaxy. Ever. May the Force be with you too😊
Steel sharpens steel. I think it boils down to the fact that Palpatine was very intelligent and could recognize a being with a unique, dangerous and highly practiced skill set with his own motivations
Original EU Boba is like a combination of Batman and Conan the Barbarian. The dude throughout his entire life in that continuity was outsmarting and killing an absurd amount of people, went toe to toe on some serious combatants, and eventually became leader of the warrior race his father was a part and frankly was pretty damn good at it seeing how he led the Mandalorians to do surprisingly well fighting off the Yuuzhan Vong during the invasion better than other factions.
Interesting video. Love your work man, keep it up 😉👍 I wonder what the Emperor thought of Durge, I for one considers Durge as the best and the galaxy's greatest, he doesn't care about the credits he does it to feed his bloodlust, and would never leave when things get rough.
@@TKnHappyNess Guess that depends on if we are talking Canon or Legends but in both cases, I would say he was still around, in Legends he was around as 'Project Durge' and in the new Canon he is very much around in the new comics.
Everything you said, and, remember that in early versions of the story/plot of Ep. 6, Lucas was seriously considering having Boba be the "Final Boss" for our heroes at one point and it requiring Luke, Han, Leia, Lando, Chewie, the Droids, and maybe even Wedge and/or a new character to take him down.

This is all very fascinating stuff, but Boba’s change in Book of Boba Fett is kinda odd. Still a man focused on honor and reputation, sure, but he never quite struck me as the kind to assume a leadership position any higher than, say, a bounty hunter squad leader.

that's very important for a free lancer in any field, screw short term profits when you can build/maintain your reputation that will get you work in the future. even if the short term pay out seems like enough to retire on, many who either enjoy the work, have other passions tied up in it, or have a sense of pride in it won't take this kind of deal. it really separates such mercenaries so you know who's more committed to the job. i imagine many Sith would have reason to trick bounty hunters with such a choice to weed out the fools consumed by short term greed. a fun detail that a story set in the time of the rule of 2 era could explore, as they are focused on manipulating things from the shadows while remaining hidden.
