Oh man, this video is literally one of the most calming things I've ever seen! I'm currently researching what type of birds I want, and zebra finches (and a water fountain) are definitely on the list of options!
One caveat is that these guys are all hand raised so they are a lot friendlier with me than normal zebra finches world be. Otherwise they are adorable.
I have a zebra and societies and they love taking baths I notice zebra do not take baths as much as societies my zebra Yogi only takes a bath once in awhile what I do is I spray him with water and he likes it I like the video
How did you get them out of the cage? Without them freaking out or flying into anything! That is awesome.. I’m thinking about getting 4 of them with a bigger cage
@@Grimtou Do they poop outside the cage? And can you tame finches if you didn't raise them from egg? I have 2 society finches that are < 1 year old and don't know if I should let them be or hand feed them
@@warwick802 I have three or four that are trained to poop on command but I've been too lazy for the rest. I keep fabric drop cloths around the cages for easy clean up. It's possible to hand tame them without hand feeding, but you generally need to separate the birds as individuals and bond with them that way. There are a few in my flock that are relatively "wild" because I introduced them too early to the other birds. They will come by to bathe or eat millet, but they won't let me walk over to pick them up.
Average is supposed to be 5-7 years, but some of mine are pushing 10-12 years old. I have so many birds because I started hand raising a new set when I thought they would start dying of old age, and that clearly didn't happen.
My zebra finches get too scared to get out of their cages. But sometimes when I clean their cage, they like it when I put a bit of water on them and they love it. But I need another way to give them a bath because I don’t want the cage to get mold on it. So if you have a way to give them baths while their in the cage please reply and tell me. 🐦
These birdies are the cutest and the noisiest. I love them. 🐦🥰❤️
The proper term for these animals is "beepers".

With those beepers in the background, it sounds like video game sounds of other things going on.

All of my finches are hand fed and relatively tame - they view out of cage time as play time and go back when they get tired or it gets dark.

I got it off amazon - there are a few different brands, but it's typically sold as a cat water fountain.
Мало води налив, вони люблять глибокі ванночки🤔
