You are on fire Carnal! I also hate trebble hooks but we have to use them when we use those baits, yeah you have awesome catfish setup, I know sometimes we just buy the name, I don’t mind about the brand far as they work good, as always great video!

Something I do is clip off one of the hooks on a treble. So you end up with a double hook. Much easier to unhook but you still have the advantage of the two stickers. I've never seen double hooks at any of the box stores so I just make my own

cut those stupid treble hooks off the yellow plastic net baits and use a straight shank hook. the fish don't know the difference and you won't either, i exclusively use dip baits and don't look for anything else

Dio bait don’t work correctly with just a “Treble Hook” you need that mesh to hold the bait. Now if you’re using punch bait that’s a different story. You can use just a treble. With my experience and opinion of course. Thanks for stopping by.
