Devil's Den State Park - Popular for a Reason

Our 2020 vacation came to an end at the same place it began, at Devil's Den State Park. We had the opportunity to check out two campsites here, as well as some of the day use areas, and the Devil's Den Trail. This park definitely draws a crowd, but with the park being this nice, and only about 30 minutes from Fayetteville, we can see why.

What time of year did you go that the waterfalls were dried up, spring or fall? Love watching your videos!

Thank you! We were there in mid-late September last year. I think spring is definitely the time to go. Our friends over at SKC adventures posted a couple videos from there in April, and water was pouring over the waterfalls.

Can you walk from campsite E to the pool?

The Lake Trail goes from the restrooms at the NE corner of campground E to the pool area. It is a 0.5 mile trail. We never tried it, so unfortunately, I can't tell you the condition of that trail. It's about a 1.5 mile drive to take the road from campground E to the pool.

Rotating bathroom schedules what?? lol. Devils Den looks like a nice & peaceful place to go. Too bad about the waterfall not flowing but the rock formations and sinkholes look very interesting. Thanks for bringing us along!

We want to return as well, but I think the next time we head there, it will be in the middle of the week, and.in the springtime, so the waterfalls will be flowing. 😁
