I haven't used a pot extension, but I do have moss mounded around the base of several of my anthurium (and it's promoting growth!).
I used to do that same thing. I just had a hard time keeping it moist. Thank you for watching . 😄
Happy updates! Love to see it 😊 Since I potted mine about three nodes deeper the areal roots on those nodes have started growing too. I don’t think there are any new growth points but I think a new leaf is coming soon 🥰
