    What about an orange version for hot days and as a good high vis option! Black is hot!

      As we manufacture everything here in the UK, it takes a lot of volume to be able to release another colour-way. Unfortunately it isn't possible at this time. This has been tested in very hot weather and I can confirm it works great!

      @@RestrapltdIf you’re referring to Josh Reid, he cooked his tits off in it in the video. I do appreciate you guys are in Jorkshire and it’s grim up North, but I live in Andalucia. It’s already 30+ on my rides here. Strapping a radiator to my back for upcoming ultras won’t be happening. I use a number of your products and they are great in terms of quality and thoughtful design. This product looks well thought out too. I used to use Kriega for trials and enduro and the strap system looks as good or better, so well done. However, choosing black to heat up my liquid and subsequently my back/ won’t be happening. Same reason nobody wears a black helmet down here. Cheers!

      @@EvidenceofaFabulousLifeI did overheat but don’t think it was anything to do with the vest. I’d ridden my fastest ever 180km at the start of Desertus Bikus and hadn’t really stopped. I think anyone would start to struggle 14+ hours in and if anything the extra water capacity helped me ride for this long. The water on my back was also always pretty cool so wasn’t heating up. I’m a big fan of using a hydration pack for long events for extra water capacity and am used to carrying camera gear on my back so feel very comfortable with it on.

      @@Josh-Reid Hi Josh, thank you for taking the time to reply. Apologies for the delay in responding. I left for a 400k gravel event in Murcia on Friday afternoon with a new (to me) phone and I hadn't authorised UA-cam on it (sends to another device for authorisation) so I could only read and not reply to you. In no way was I knocking your effort in the event, I hope it did not seem like that, certainly not intended. You were certainly boiling up, but bearing in mind you were previously riding North from "Up North" with ski gloves on, it probably wasn't the best heat preparation 🤪. I too greatly appreciate the benefits of a hydration pack and there's no denying the distribution of pockets and storage on the Restrap pack has been well considered. Interesting that you felt that your liquids were not heating up. My simple experience here in Spain (hot day/ black car/ fry egg on bonnet, hot day/ white car not fry egg on bonnet) backs up the physics that black material absorbs more solar energy than white material. Some of the higher end hydration pack manufacturers (I won't mention here) are now making white packs for this very reason. Thank you again for sharing your experience with the pack. Good luck and all the best, Tim

    Silly question here (never had a hydration vest). Is the bladder easy to clean? As i normally add in sugar and electrolytes to my water.

    • @Restrapltd
      @Restrapltd  5 місяців тому

      Cleaning out the bladder is quite easy for the most part. Once cleaned out, we'd recommend allowing it to dry and storing in the freezer to prevent buildup of mold and mildew.

    question: my CamelBak keeps the fluid cold for ages even on a hot day on my back, how does yours keep the bladder cool? thanks

    I’ve seen two videos now for this product and both you and Josh ended up with the tube stuffed under the chest strap, why did you do that?

    • @Restrapltd
      @Restrapltd  8 місяців тому +3

      These videos featured the same bladder and hose which was our original sample. Unfortunately that particular one had quite a *stiff* tubing that had a mind of it's own. The hose included in our production batch is much more flexible. Hope that clears up your concern!

    Would this be suitable for running aswell?

    • @Restrapltd
      @Restrapltd  8 місяців тому +1

      It depends on your running needs, there are lighter and smaller running vests out there that would cater to most but if you would benefit from the features and higher capacity in our vest then it would work great for running.

      @@Restrapltd is there much bounce with running downhill with this?

  • @RogerByrne
    @RogerByrne 8 місяців тому

    Got mine last week. As a broader chest/backed chap I appreciate the sizing and adjustment, it doesn’t feel or look like a bra 😂
    Had a DJI mini, controller and spare batteries in the main compartment fit nicely and no bounce.
    Question the phone pocket having a key strap/loop in it, will probably cut that out.
    If you cinch the load lifters down the the pull loops have a tendency to hit your head/helmet when you look left or right.
    10/10 though, points are just personal nit picking.

      As a valuables pocket over a phone pocket, it just totally depends on your usage! You might rather have keys and money in there and your phone somewhere else. We wanted it to fit phones because that will be the likely use for most.

      What size did you get? I'm very hesitant because I'm not that tall (175 cm), but most of the time I wear a jersey in L, so I'm a bit unsure.

    • @Restrapltd
      @Restrapltd  6 місяців тому +1

      @@yru4ma612 Large will be the best bet :) they are super adjustable but jersey size is a good way to gauge it.
