Sturdy, steady, and long lasting, great for the exact description you mentioned, if you already have it at base camp and your in no rush, this is perfect
Hello Spike, yes there seems to be no real comparison. A pressurised unit should pump some therms. Im awaiting another stove which can burn most liquid fuels. I could do a similar test against the humble Triangia stove.
Yuck everything will smell of diesel fuel. We used diesel tent stoves in the USArmy and everything you got it on no matter how many times you washed it smelled of fuel especially my winter shooting mittens. All the vehicles and generators I’ve fueled and used I won’t own a diesel now. Try alcohol stoves or something else. Have fun stay safe.
Hello Kenneth............I hope the cold snap hasnt been too severe where you are. This bit of kit I keep in the base camp. You are so right. The smell of spilt fuel, whether its parrafin / Kerosene or diesil is a shootstorm (to miss an i) I would not carry it in my rucksack. Its a go to

Very true! Got to get you there again soon
That is a very tranquil place. Lovely.
And only 10 mins away from camp W
Is it diesel fuel or kerosene
Not really portable, due to it's none sealed design. It is a good piece of kit, if you're in a base camp area. I like mine
My old Primus stove seemed to be more powerful than this one. Do a comparison . . .
