The Main Camera seems to be a really great shooter also in the dark. I saw the low light shots on the UNLOCKR review. The Ultrawide doesn't really do a great job but at that price I think that's forgivable. If they price this phone at 550-600$ only then it makes sense to buy.

I love the idea of the sony zv-1 though i wish you could have more of the modes on at once, maybe that'll happen in the zv-2.
Though saturation is pleasing to look at, I prefer a more natural look and glad to see on LG. Too many phones have over saturation, either on the warm or cool side, yet the Velvet is aiming for neither. Natural all the way!

I love my LG v40 I use the front facing ultra wide comes in handy. And quad dac is amazing

It is a excellent phone, very beautiful glass back, very capable phone, great camera performance, 60fps video recording, multitasking is exceptional it is a excellent phone from lg and plus it will age well, this phone really does a great job.

Absolutely gorgeous camera review josh, i love the locations you shot. Pretty good camera too as expected of LG. I am a LG fan but they really need to get the phones out quicker in all regions after the announcement. Really excited to see what the replacement of the V series will be with new design and flagship specs, that may well be my phone upgrade from my G7.

I believe it's for everyday usage ,so not any particular section of people.. It has an huge battery size , the older LG phone didn't have this battery size

Hi this phone just came to my area so my question is I just paid off my samsung A 50 and I am looking at getting a new phone do you think this would be worth getting over the phone I am using?
Depends on the purpose of your phone .
If you are comfortable with your A50 then you dont have to go for a new phone .
Have you checked samsung A71 ? I hear it's good .
Although , in all honest opinion try to use a phone for 5 years atleast that way you will get the value for your money 😬
P.s :- i am an LG phone user so , this is not an advertisement for Samsung .

I recently upgraded and bought this phone about a month ago, I like everything on this phone except the camera I don't know nothing about phones but I feel that the LG G8 thinq use to have better camera then this one.
I remember my LG brand LG G3 its ok but only problem is the motherboard, after that im scared to buy LG smartphone, im using now is Huawei mate30, i wana let go china product but i cant find none china made smartphone that can satisfy me

3 Android Upgrade, ip 68 water and dust resistant, gogeous screen overall good sound quality the phone is nice for day to day activities. Fast charging and dated hardware may limit the refresh rate
According to German Chip.de the LG Velvet keeps up with the best cell phones (referring to the main lens. The other one are underwhelming) 😐 German Price: 599€ :-)
I actually just returned my Pixel6 Pro (which in most every other way is awesome) because there is NO MACRO ability. The closest focus distance is too far away and the image breaks down when zoomed faster than the LG. I take photos of teeny weeny bugs, and my old LGG6 captured some breath taking zoomed-in close-up images. Not the new Pixel and not even the new Samsung Galaxy 21 Ultra I tested in-store could do that, despite how incredible their other modes are. I was shocked, honestly. But the flowers and lichens etc., I brought to the store to test shoot? The LG Velvet 5G nailed it! So I special ordered one of the last available in warehouses (LG just stopped making phones, sadly.) So sad. The other phone I loved was Samsung Galaxy 3. Hope I made the right decision ordering this LG Velvet 5G. I know I'm making sacrifices in other camera areas for that macro zoom capability that no other new phone really seems to have. I'll try to let you know how it goes.
Oh and btw COLOR can always be adjusted in a free post processing program like GIMP. Just FYI.

Shouldn't you be wearing a mask when talking so close to the camera? Think of us on the other side who are wearing a mask, to protect you, while we watch. LOL!!! Great video!
The price is still doesn't justify the camera performance. Although i don't use cameras a lot, i still wouldn't like to miss a good moonlight shot when I am paying around $700 since there are phones which provides better overall performance. Don't get me wrong, i am a pure lg fan n i really wish it had the v60's performance. So that's why this design makes me to crave for V70!!

@Chris Hodges How many other phone cameras have you used? If you've tried nearly every Android maker in the world plus iPhones, you may agree that Velvet's is lackluster. I am let down and likely won't get this after all. Still hope for the V60. Maybe I'll just get a cheap G8X setup. Or maybe I'm just jonesin' for the 12s (I am). Yeah..I could just take the 12 on small outings.. hmmm

That's the truth. It's not the worst, is definitely not the best in segment. Between this and Pixel 4a, 'you're' going to want to take the Pixel.

The wide angle seems blurry and unstable in video, the front seems mediocre. Also no 4K60fps or manual video on main camera. I dunno. Kinda disappointed.
Josh you always post videos about the Velvet. we get it. bring some variety in to your videos with other devices dude

Thank you for making the video but to me LG has in the past made some great devices but on this one.... I think they absolutely dropped the ball. I stopped the video at 4:08 not because of the content ( which I do enjoy your channel) but like I said before LG turned me away from this device. Especially in the video and camera department.

Edited: I also as I think of older devices and one's I've owned LG is one of the most under rated companies in the mobile market. LG has produced some great phone's in the past and hopefully more in the future.
