Everything you said is so true. Destiny really needs more to keep it alive. The drip feed method is just not working. “Oh, we can get you hooked on this storyline, but youll finish the thing in five minutes and have to wait a week! Oh, and did we mention the repetitiveness of the filler quests we put between each week?” The new player experience is terrible and dragged out, it give no context and no actual guidance for the player. One of the levels looking like a copy and pasted mess does not help. The new lights experience is basically “oh, go to this place, interact with this, now go kill this thing.” Pvp needs more to save it. Trials is a hellhole, and theres no reward for even doing it other than the two weapons that everyone seems to want per season. Iron banner is better now, but theres still just no incentive to do it. Actual raid loot is redundant because you know as soon as you get five you’re crafting it and never doing the raid again if you have the exotic. And the telesto and end of season “event” is just a letdown. Sorry for my rant/wall of text. Destiny is definitely just not in a good place rn.
I’m really tired of D2 at this point. It’s fun playing with friends, but otherwise I can’t see myself logging on more than a couple of hours a week. The giveaway will be tomorrow. Good luck!
