So the brakes on my hunterboard work just fine. I weigh 250Lbs too... Tighten or loosen the suspension bolts to soften or tighten the suspension. The remote always starting in safe mode is really stupid! Sport mode for me has a lot of power. More than I expected from a hub motor for sure! The creaking noises annoy me for sure, but I did find that going through it and loosening and retightening all of the bolts really helped. I haven't messed with it more... I wish the battery life was better for sure and that it was easier to charge the battery too!
Also, I found that there are actually 2 springs in the Shocks and depending on your weight you can take one out. Oh, after contacting them for another charging cable for the remote, it turns out that it's just a standard one you can order from Amazon. Yeah, it does really sound like loosening and retightening all the bolts would really help fix your challenges with it. Don't tighten to tightly though!
@@TimWoodVlog i hope that there are buddy 😂😂 people come to youtube for a laugh, an escape from reality for a bit. Serious reviews don’t really work anymore. You cant take them seriously without calling out bollocks, Jims review room was a classic example of that bro. Much love homie 👌🙌😎😎😎
Iv seen this in person and stepped on it myself at cyclo and I noticed that when I saw the back truck not moving man. Super strange. But big ups for being super honest man
im on the floor with laughter. within 1 min i knew there was gonna be a compared to SLICK REV bit. So the best thing about it is that its LIGHT. U look like you would rather give up being vegan than getting on that again. Found my go to cheer me up on a bad day video. For people that dont know ive been riding with Tim for 5 years & not mentioning slick rev is number 1 thing with Tim if he is saying this is worse then its BAD. Anyone else start thinking within a min poor Tim had lost the will to live. Well done Tim taking 1 for the team
Maybe it would change the feel of the board under your feet. Despite the suspension you can still feel the road surface and the way it's fed back up through your feet, it doesn't feel good. Maybe totally changing the way a skateboard works is a bad idea not an improvement
@@TimWoodVlog interesting. I guessed the road feel would transmit up to my teeth since the wheels are wrapped in solid urethane and mostly aluminum with no flex anywhere in the board. I read hunter is working on pneumatic tires and I’m curious about modding one with shark wheels up front as well. Thanks for this review! I love actual reviews that don’t just recite product specifications.
@Things Max Plus It doesnt vibrate that badly through you, the suspension dampens a lot of that but not the weird movement you get when your street wheels get pulled by the road surface, coupled with the higher ride height this feels unstable. I would recommend a 'try before you buy' but maybe it works for you. Thanks for the feedback, my reviews will always be honest even if people dont like them 😉
It looks nice but since the way it is is not how other skateboards are I wanted to know how it was. Have you ever tried the Evolve boards? I've heard they're pretty good and I think it's what I might look into
eep, that's a lot of failings... 1. Make sure the brakes work with an adult rider 2. Able turn at slow speeds/adjustable turning circle 3. User-friendly remote 4. Speed modes that make sense
I was lucky enough to return it as I was the 9th buyer of this foot fatigue generator. Yeah very unsafe feeling on this chunk of metal. This board is for a regular skateboarder who wants electric. Not an eboarder
Yeah I was really interested in the board when I first heard out it, was expecting something amazing when I saw all the engineering going in to it, turns out it was a bad idea
I’ve bought a lot of electric boards but this has been the worse one so far. I’m from the UK, and had nothing but issues with snapped suspension arms, remote not connecting, threads on the rods not holdings the allen bolts in (causing injuries) etc. which was all admitted as faults by Hunter. The boards spent more time broken than it has fixed. The worse thing about it all though is the customer service. Think I’ve sent them an email every week and they relpy probably once every 4 months, baring in mind the boards still under warranty is a disgrace!!. So frustrating. Never again. Would not recommend to anyone. Can’t even sell my board for 75% less than I paid for it!!
Damn dude, Im sorry to hear this. I was getting most boards in early so I could give them a review and its a shame you missed this one before buying :( There seems to be a few fanboys but everyone else hates it. No idea what they are doing now, last I heard they were working on an electric motorbike...

"overengineered" is a very fair assessment I believe. *I'll be back to read the other comments once this simmers a bit more* 😂🤣
It's not over engineered and there is other review not having the same issues Tim is saying... For one the suspension is amazing and I have been riding mine for more then a year now and tackling stuff that no other solid wheel board with normal trucks will do... Tim may not like it and he is entitled to that but my breaks are super powerful in fact I had to turned them down... Again this is just one review there are others coming up and already there is one that liked the board

I had made the $100 reservation to purchase the hunter board a while back and I couldn’t wait for it to be released, COVID hit and I was financially unable to actually purchase it when it did finally finish production. I chose to wait even longer for some reviews on it and honestly I think you saved me a lot of money cause I LOVE to carve my board and doesn’t seem like you can with hunter. Honestly disappointed but a little relieved you made this video. Maybe they should have taken into consideration what eskaters really like about their boards. But props to coming up with something this creative, hopefully down the road there will be something for everyone to love.
Hello, i really considering buy one, I have watch a lot of review and that one is only bad… I own a kaly XLR and i think of getting a second board lighter… what do you like the most about this board ? What did you ride before ?
wow thats really bad. I hear they were wanting to fix a lot of issues with the board but not even replying to you is terrible. I hope you can get refunded by the payment method you used.

Not a fanboy, but curious. Do you think that adding turning to the rear trucks would alleviate the problems you’re describing?

Yeah me too, nice guys but terrible product 😕
Poor

This board with gear or belt driven motors is more ideal for me. The humng motors is a big turn off.

Spot on. Totally agree. The Hunterboard was one of my lifes greatest dissapointments. Sold it to a guy that made money off a braintransplant.
