@@jebsievers that's really good memories and good to hear that the stories live on. One of my favorite episodes is the USPS rural mail carrier in the sandhills. Told like only roger could.
So good to see some long familiar faces, but hard to accept the reality that this great segment would be considered by many viewers to have aired many years ago. To me, as my folks & their folks before them would say, it “seems like it was just yesterday”.
Nah, it's all in your head. The '90s sound quality is playing tricks on your ears. Talk about the 1960s and earlier, now that's some different talkin... But some of those talkers are still alive today. Do they talk the same or different now, huh? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I was taking my elderly parents to south dakota to see my sister in the 1990s. I was going to go through the Sandhills, until i talked to the attendant at a rest area in Nebraska, i told her i was going to drive through the Sandhills, she got emotional and said don't do it, its too desolate. I stayed on the main interstate.
When people in Nebraska think of sport they think of rodeoing? I think Cornhusker fans might have a second opinion. (Even though University of Nebraska has had more than a few years of downtime. )

Didn't Muhammad fly the first plane into the South tower a couple of years after this clip first aired? Please advise, and Merry Christmas to ya, Gomer.
True Nebraskan! Love the stories that you shared throughout the years. Rest in peace Roger. Condolences to the family.
Seconded. My dad and Roger were buddies esp in the '80 and '90s, and some of the stories my dad tells about their antics are top shelf.

What a fun clip to watch. I only vaguely remember it. Yet, it was marvelous on the second viewing. Thank you.
I remember this episode.
R.I.P. Roger Welsch 🌞 (S.M.N)
Champion of Victorian artist Arthur Boyd Houghton too!
Thanks Roger, fun to see you again. You are missed. I wish that course was open to the public, looks fun. I'd play it.
Godspeed Roger 🙏
Excellent storytelling/pace/immersion. This vid was such a pleasant trip.
I miss these Postcard segments. RIP
I used to show my students Roger's story on a mountain of corncobs and their recycling into various uses.
I like how people talked back then
They talk real purty, don't they?

Back then? Lord. Don’t make me feel old today. This was just 1999!

Scott Frost approves. $15M paid to go away. Oh, God.
The dude saw the slide coming. So stick to rodeoing.
The Song of the Lark
This was back when the show was so good. I use to love Sunday mornings.
Now there's no reason to wake up early.
It's just a Pelosi love-in now. Sad.
Looks so boring I want to go😢😢😅😅😅😅😅❤❤
Sad news....and volume would be nice
So would Pelosi's obituary, but alas. Dare to dream, no?
