I’m a native Nebraskan, have played Wild Horse a few times for junior tournaments, you guys hit the nail on the head. This place is exceptional and is a great value deal. Nebraska golf is severely underrated, but with the new courses being built now (one of them is a King-Collins design) everyone will find out soon how great golf in Nebraska is. Strapped/Tourist sauce would be fantastic in Nebraska.
Ditto here!
Would love to see them do a strapped Neb.
Even a Midwest Tourist Sauce would be feasible.....but I also don't want all these spots blown up too much! 😆
Strapped Nebraska would be great
Played Wild Horse for the first time in 2011 in a college golf tournament. It was 36 holes day 1 and I shot 87 in the morning, 73 in the afternoon. Same pins, same conditions, same day. I tell the story often. Wild turnaround.
The part I don't share often is that while we finished at dusk, a dude behind us finishing on 14 (shotgun start) couldn't find his ball after his second shot into the par-5. We were checking scorecards off to the side of the green. Soon enough, he ran up and checked the hole - mind you, it was WAY darker than it appeared on camera - and found it for a double eagle. He went bananas with his teammates there. What a day.
Blessed to be able to spend so much time playing in Nebraska over the years. As you guys continue to look into The Prairie Club (I see you, Ben!), please stay in touch.
Nice video here, Tron.
Who did you play for in college? Or who hosted the match there? Just curious
I played this course 5 days ago for a college tournament and even after playing it 5 time already my jaw drops and it’s christmas morning for me when I pull in
What a fun looking course! You can tell this was filmed a bit ago, Tron's still a lefty.
We have played this course twice during our September Iowa Indiana ibuprofen open. It's 4 hrs from Denver airport, on the way to the Prairie Club. These are the best fairways I have ever played. The people here are outstanding. This is such a great course. Nebraska golf is amazing. It's our second favorite venue, behind only Bandon
Drove up from Denver today to play WH for the first time.. holy cow. Unreal. Greens are superb. From all the way back, tee shots are intimidating even with the big wide fairways. Can't wait to play again in the morning. I'll be making multiple trips a year out here from now on. 100% best value course in America.
Just played 27 holes at WH on Saturday...agree wholeheartedly! Great course with lots of strategic options. I appreciate my son, who has play WH several times, helping me see the right option. I will be back!
So pumped you guys came to NE and experienced the beauty of Wildhorse GC! Greens are out of this world!
Welcome to Nebraska! One of many golfing hidden gems here. Hope you had the chance to visit a few other courses on your trip.
Played it for the first time a month ago, absolutely fantastic. Some great opportunities to play some really fun shots. Can play it so many ways. The greens were really firm and fast but remained fair. Awesome to see this video with the course fresh in my mind.
Gosh this place looks so pure. Thanks for sharing this gem I would have never heard about. Might have to make a trip up from Texas to play this place
If you do definitely hit up Bayside as well.
GO BIG RED! Gotta play this next time Im out visiting family.
I'm playing it next month for the first time. So excited!
Place looks awesome! Thanks for sharing.
Best thing about these videos is guessing whether TC is going to be playing left or right handed 😂
Damn, this looks like my cup of tea. Low key one of the best golf states in the US!
Was lucky enough to play the Prairie Club from it's opening & for 10 straight years; family ranch outside Valentine.(45 minutes outside of Valentine!!) Great golf course(s), but last year played them again & the course(s) were crowded & sloooow. My early years often only 3-4-5 cars in the parking lot. Played Wild Horse & loved the layout. Have to admit & the video didn't mention it, but the greens were very firm & incredibly fast. Very difficult to keep the ball on them & get the putts to stop around the cup. Maybe just 'my' game, but keep this in mind.
Great course, got to play it when I was working a junior tournament out there as an intern for the Nebraska Golf Association. Highly recommend it.
Adding this to bucket list!
Thanks for that wonderful video and comments about the course. Josh Mahar (superintendent) is the one to thank for playing conditions. Tremendous asset since day one. Always glad we did the back nine first. Because by the time we got to the front we were ready to do less. So a building effect was created for drama. All by accident.
hahahaha! Love it
Thats an awesome statement. Sometimes things just work themselves out!
Going to have to demand a Strapped hitting Awarii Dunes, Wild Horse, and Frederick Peak. Culminating in a tube float down the niobrara.
Love this.
Throw Bayside in there.
The River will provide.
That sounds fantastic!
This looks like a golf course that you'd see in a dream.
Awesome to see you guys show off this course! I have played a lot of the "Bag Tag Billy" courses across the country and Wild Horse is the best value in the US!!!
The next Sweeten's Cove. Better play it now before you can't get on the course. Looks amazing.
Been wanting to play here
I couldn't believe how cheap it was either. Phenomenal place.
Would love to see you guys check out The Harvester Club in Rhodes, Iowa. Beautifully conditioned course 45 minutes from Des Moines and Ames.
Wow I'm the first view. I need more No Laying Up UA-cam content!!! When is the next season of Strapped coming out
Think tourist sauce is next
not taking away from the comments on this amazing course wild horse that I would really love to play but really don't see it happening, I have a question for the no laying up team would you ever consider playing golf in Northern Ireland we have so many championship courses and an open venue
Absolutely!
not to be confused with wildhorse in denton tx
Since when was a 550 yard par 5 short?
$525 for membership is insanely good.
good angle, or nearly missed it you be the judge?
$500 get you a membership, but what does that really get you?
