Amazing! So much work has gone into this video, very cleverly arranged but also so much knowledge of the aspects of Wales. I really like Carreg Cennen castle, in a great position. I was delighted to find Thomas Jones's painting at the end. I love his smaller paintings of Italy too, like Buildings in Naples and A Wall in Naples. Thanks to you and Hungary for the interest in Welsh culture
Thanks for this amazing video. The welsh language (son of celtic base) apply for hungarian case (in history or culturally)?? Excuse me for my ignorance.
Of course, I do not the Welsh language, Cymraeg. But as it has differences to Hungarian, because it is a Celtic labguage and Hungarian is an Ural-Altaic language. But as the history, of the Welsh people, who are dominated by the English kingdom, which caused to nearly all forget their language (because of the harsh Anglicisation politic, today only 19 % of the Welsh can speak their labguage, the others speak only English), culture, and national identity, resembles with the fate of those Hungarians, whos homelands because of the 1920 Trianon treaty, were ripped from Hungary, and given to Romania, Czechoslovakia, Yougoslavia and Austria. These states did to Hungarians what England did to the Welsh, Scots, Irish and other smaller Celtic nations: made a harsh politic of assimilation and oppression. In Transylvania (which was Hungarian land until 1920), where I live in the most parts of it, with some little exceptions, the Hungarians are assimilated, and do not know their language, like the Welsh people. And the oppression and assimilation politic today is also used by the Romanian state, because they want to make us disappear (they forbid us to use our flags, in places were we are in majority, the leading staff, like presifents, directors of the important institutions are almost all Romanians, like in the Apartheid reginme, were the whites were in lead, in Moldova, were the Csango Hungarians live, there are no schools in their language, and even in their own churches the Hungarian language is forbidden, and this caused that the Csangos 90 % to forget their language, etc.). If we take the whole Hungarian hitory and compare with the Welsh one, we see other resemblances. Hungary from 1526 has lost its independence to the Turks and Austrians (only Transylvania remained independent until 1690), than the Soviets. Hungarians fought many revolts and revolutions against their oppressors (1703-1711, 1848-1849, 1956), like the Welsh also did (1400-1415), every time being suppressed by the superior numbers and technology of the ruling powers. This is how it resembles our and Welsh history. Culturally we can say that we and the Welsh too, have very unique and original cultures, which differe much from the surrounding nations cultures.
The picture at 1:02 is not Dryslwyn castle but rather Paxton's tower, a Victorian folly in the same county, but some miles away. At 1:10 Rhuddlan castle is an English castle built from 1277, there were other structures there before, but i'm not sure if there was ever a Welsh built castle there, it was for a while a Welsh royal seat though.
The meter of the poem respects the meter of the medieval Welsh poems. And the music of Dalriada too resembles to the medieval European music, like it was in the time in which Edward I. conquered Wales. And has nothing to do with the middle-eastern music.

This is not a middle eastern music, it is a Hungarian music, by the Hungarian rock band Dalriada which put to music the the Hungarian poet János Arany's renown poem A walesi bárdok (The bards of Wales), from the middle of the XIX century, which tells the story of the murdering of the 500 Welsh bards by the English king Edward I, in the XIII. century. This poem is one of the most important poems of the Hungarian literature, and exprimes the solidarity of the Hungarians with the Welsh people.
I love heavy metal but this music takes away from the poem instead of adding to it. It sounds like they already had a song so they paired it with the poem instead of writing a song directly to reflect the mod of the poem.

Ok, my mistake. Still not Welsh though. However, I think it's great that Hungary finds solidarity with Wales.
Unfortunately, Arany János wrote his poem in Hungarian and not in Welsh. As I know he doesn't knew Cymraeg. :D

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is Middle-Eastern music put to Welsh history. Would seem more authentic if it was Welsh. Just saying.
