The smiling friends seem to be set in a universe where murder is a comon occurrence. While not legal (as seen in ep 5) it seems that it's tolerated by most of society and easily carried out without punishment.
The amount of evidence to back up this hypothesis is actually staggering. This moment from ep. 3, the Blackface Demon from ep. 4, the Renaissance Men from ep. 7. I think most telling of all being Mr. Frog killing his manager in ep. 2 because it lets us rule out that this level of tact acceptance is culturally localized to the area the Smiling Friends are based. Strangely enough despite being this fact the main characters seem to have significantly different views on the matter to the general public. In ep.4 with the Blackface Demon Glep, Glep's Girlfriend, Alan, Charlie's Girlfriend and Pim all react in horror to the events that occur dispute Charlie being apparently nonplussed while The Boss actively participates.
@@DarkSnideoftheRainbow also in ep. 5 the police stopped carrying out murder investigations. Probably meaning that society at large doesn't really care. Zach and Micheal did say they have a whole book of world lore, so maybe that's part of it.
Tbh if I lived in the batshit crazy world of smiling friends I probably wouldn’t have the time or energy to care about people getting casually murdered either
Pause on the first frame to see who is being stomped, which makes this even sillier. It appears to be some kind of cross between a grown-up Peanuts character, Doug (of the show Doug), and Dagwood.
it still technically is. adult swim is just after hours cartoon network, around when we all get home, to our wives and children. actually, we'd be coming home to a substandard apartment, with absolutely nobody there. that's the average adult swim viewer.
So most of the figures on shrimps showcase shelf are fortnite figurines But I swear to god the winged one is an actual character from somewhere, I just cant pinpoint it It sort of reminds me of the tooth fairies from hellboy? But I dont think that's it
I love how the stomps don't even sound that hard yet the guy's head is just turning into mush
Must have been at it awhile
reminds me of the vet animation
@@heh_boaner thats exactly what i was thinking lmao

@@Milkra I guess not. I'm assuming I'd be like the middle ages, where death is so comon that it's treated fairly lightly.
Or it's just a comedy cartoon and adding people getting killed is hilarious
I love how pim just looks at him
With his bad eyesight he probably doesn't know what's going on.
The murder looks like one of those
Newgrounds killing simulators
The whole series feels like a newgrounds cartoon

This is totally a reference to the Sleepycast episode where they talk about killing a guy in their apartment hallway

I'm just realizing that Shrimp had a figurine of that banana from Fortnite
If you squint it kinda looks like a Koronesuki getting curb stomped
He got stomped into a red stain
IDK why but the whole thing just makes me giggle even though something horrible is happening
people in this show are just squishy.
I like how i got a 25 second ad just to see some random dude getting stomped
People don’t talk about the rat that skittles by on the stairs
what do you want to talk about man
Drive Reference?
Lmaooo he's away from the elevator
No no, it's just that Classic and Iconic hallway greeting.
1 guy 99 stomps
I love that he collects Fortnite toys but not Fukno Pops
it looks like one of those gory flash games i used to play as a kid
Oh my god I hope that didn’t register in Pims brain🙃
Did you know this show was originally pitch to Cartoon Network?

That really disturbed me :/, like who was the dude getting his head caved in? Why is it happening?
Am I the only one who noticed the fortnite banana right away when I watched the episode?
Did i not see that? wtf
Did the Shrimp speak German?
no he said "it is open"
