I think a few of the things these people say imply to them seeing the machines as moving creatures rather than, well, machines. How they walk and balance seemingly so naturally, makes the devices feel like animals, even if it's consciously known that someone built them. Personification of the robots in some sense.
I work only for the German Railroad and even there I get a child like amazement for simple innovations. Well... I say simple. In reality it's leaps and bounds in technology.
I would love to hear the conversations when they get home and explain to their family and friends what they saw or ate during their time with you. They would be reliving the experiences in their own words. ❤

Modern humans have been around for at least 200k years, and yet... in the span of roughly 10k, we went from huddling in groups of around 150 around a campfire to making plans on traveling the stars and colonizing other worlds. While it seems like innovation has increased at a massively rapid rate, the true scale of things only is noticed when you look at the whole. After all, the earth itself is billions, if not trillions of years old. While the universe could be millions of times older. Remember, our little blue ball is just a mote of dust, suspended in a sunbeam. Always has, always will be.

He's quite different from most old people I've seen, being curious about new things and always very courteous and kind. The others are curious individuals as well but even though they're villages they've grown up with more modern experiences. All of them seem to be great people.
There is one video that compares the size of the Earth with some gigantic stars and the Sun is nothing compared to those stars and the Earth is like a pixel. It is a very amazing video and also humbling and somewhat scary (as you can almost imagine how big is the universe and all the things we don't know about it)
I absolutely LOVE how these folks just instinctively attach a human empathetic response to the technician pushing the robot over. “That thing could kick you a** and then you would leave it alone.”, LMAO!!! I find it interesting how they compare the robots to animals and assume how they think they would behave on that, even though there's no real relation between robots and living beings at all. Like where the older guy said the man should be careful to not get beat by the robot, whereas the robot wouldn't be able to do that unless someone programmed it that way.

The amount of coding and programing it takes for every little movement is incredible and the amazing engineering work done for it to do all of these movements is crazy, I don't think most people understand how many and how massive the accomplishments are Boston dynamics are achieving every video. I've always wanted to work there so I took an engineering class and robotics... But failed those.
These videos are wholesome to see how these people react to new things and how eager they are to learn. Not even seen these machines before, they can see how useful they can be in their day to day life and review others achievements in a positive manner. The rest of us in the developed world could learn so much from their mindset.
I really like these people. Honest and enthusiastic and kind. The world would be a better place with more people like this, imo.
