Loved the suggestion of sewing the gusset seam at 1/8” before binding. I have two more to make and I will try that out. I split my zipper gusset on the first one. I think I will return to having a one piece gusset because the split gusset seems to limit access to the inside of the bag. Great video!
I enjoyed watching your video tutorial, and you showing how to do the binding...I just bought the pattern tonight, and would rather use binding rather than trying to birth it because it looks a lot easier. You covered each step excellent, and being a visual learner it helped tremendously! Thank you very much!
Thank you so much for the best tutorial ever on the Mav Pack. Your fabric choices are so pretty together. What type of fabric are you using for your gussett? Is it waxed canvas or cotton? Do you think cotton for the body of the bag and a very thin vinyl for the gussett would work. Lining would be WPC. Thanks so much for sharing your talent and teaching style.😊
Great tutorial, I am about to make my first one, once I am done agonizing over whether to you a soft vinyl for the main body or a fun cotton. I can't wait to dive in.
You did a great job on the video. Thank you. I have a question regarding the two sided tape. Did you sew through the tape and if so, where can I get two sided tape that you can sew through?
I always try to avoid sewing through the tape when I can, but occasionally, I do sew through the tape. I believe everyone's machine is different and know some struggle with it, not sure what makes the difference though. I use the leather tape from Wawak. I would keep an alcohol wipe handy just incase to clean your needle.
It's not a secret, but I'm not completely sure where I acquired it from. 🤦♀️ I believe it was on clearance from one of the corporate fabric stores a year or two ago
That’s for doing the binding so much easier 😊
Your an excellent teacher/tutorial leader.......your voice is soothing and your not making disrespectful statements as you go about the bag.
Great instructions! I’ve seen many MAV Pack videos and yours is the best!
I’ve watched many tutorials for this bag. I have to say the angle you videoed this is the best to really see every step.
Thank you Becky!
This was a super great tutorial! I am a visual learner, so reading a pattern isn't ideal for me. You helped me create a perfect bag!!❤🎉
This a gorgeous Mav! Like everyone has said i really appreciate your video angle. Able to see it so clearly. Thank you!
Love your little cutie! Very helpful tutorial!!! I'll be saving this for reference when I get all my ducks in a row to make my own.

I’m late to the mav pack party 🎊 but you always make it look easy ❤
It's such a fun one! You got this! If you get stuck reach out!
That concentration at the end. That's what I look like pushing out corners. Then yay! 😂😂😂
I've come to far to mess up at the end 🤣🤣🤣
Fantastic tutorial!! Thank you
Thank you--
So glad you enjoyed it! ❤

A variety of places. I try my best to link everything in the video descriptions

Awesome tutorial!! I would love to see you make an increased version 😀
I love your videos. It's so easy learning because you explain very well. I want to know how long is the shoulder strap. thanks blesings
I followed the pattern instructions for this strap-- I typically prefer my crossbody straps to be cut at 62" to allow for a variety of sizes.
Hi Joleelee..is it a secret where you acquired that gorgeous floral fabric?
It's not a secret, but I'm not completely sure where I acquired it from. 🤦♀️ I believe it was on clearance from one of the corporate fabric stores a year or two ago
Awesome tutorial!! Do you think you will be making a clear vinyl one?
Yes! But I need to find more clear TPU, I am almost all out!
@@JoleeleeCreations Awesome, thanks looking reward to it😀
The tutorial is great! Thanks. The bright pink material, what is it and where did you buy it? Thanks!
It is the Buttah line from Weft + Warp
Love your video. Easy to follow. Can these material be sewn on an industrial straight stitch? I don’t have a walking foot machine.
@@suewhosews6546 Yes, I think that would be fine
Do we have use the triangle ring or can we use something else
You could use a D ring too!
What type of fabric are you using for the strap topper and other dark pink fabrics?
@ufoquilter86 the Pink is Buttah vinyl from Weft + Warp. The front floral panel is a canvas
Your tutorials are the best. I mean it. Little more skittles please!
Thank you!! I'll let her know 😅
Hi, just found your channel😃could I ask where you get your waterproof canvas from and what weight please.
Welcome! So glad you found me! I like the WPC from Glitterbugfairy and Ottertex WPC from Fabric Wholesale Direct (390gsm 600 denier)
Does the waterproof canvas binding come precut or do you cut it?
Does the waterproof binding ravel?
It comes precut from garner sewing, but I often just cut it myself. It may have tiny whispys you can melt with a lighter but it doesn't unravel persay
What kind of binding fabric is that thst doesn’t fray?
Waterproof canvas
@@JoleeleeCreations i see. You cut the waterproof canvas fabric and used it as the bais tape. Thank you
@@JoleeleeCreations your video was so much easier and less chaotic to follow than the orginal maker of this bag. I will try it out soon. Thank you
What is that pink material you use
It is Pink Buttah Vinyl from Weft + Warp
What kind of binding are you using?
Waterproof canvas
can you let me know what stitch length you had ?
I typically use a 4 stitch length
What thread are you using for this bag?
It is Amann tex 70
Very well done. You make binding look easy--it's not, for me at least. Subscribed.
Thank you! I used to think the same, but it finally clicked for me. Check out my video on the Heartbreaker, I show up close how I do it 🩷
Great, thorough tutorial.... 🩷
What is that flat piece you have all your stickers on?
It is a flat bed attachment from Recent Relic Designs, it's now available through Techsew as well
