Can you make the full bag with the zipper pocket on the outside of the back as opposed to the inside of the bag? I am having troubles actually visualizing how to actually do it, and I have the pattern myself.
sorry for the late reply....I check but I think sometimes YT doesn't show comments on my phone... on laptop now....ok, you absolutely can. Make it almost exactly the same as you would if it were the inside panel, EXCEPT, I'd not use tabs....ME? I"d make the zipper go edge to edge.. Or use whatever exterior pocket pattern style you like....HTH
You can use the tabs.....I just prob wouldn't. Just my preference-I'd make sure to catch it well in the binding for securing it.. You could also do a pocket like a welt pocket, an overlay, whichever you are comfy doing!

Can you do the center zipper and still berth the bag? Not a fan of binding
