Kate, just watched the complete video with my wife (who, due to being the caregiver to our 40 year old daughter who has an intellectual disability) has never done a Camino. She was inspired to witness your growth in confidence from week one to the end at Finisterre. She was surprised and delighted to see that I featured in the photo in Reliegos. She was equally delighted to see Harry as I had spoken about him so often. So the positive outcome of watching the video: we are going to try and arrange care for our daughter in order to take on a short Camino for myself and Susan in 2025. I enjoyed your reflection video. It was very thoughtful and realistic. Thank you and Buen Camino. Tony
Brilliant video, thank you. We started about a week later than you in 2023 and it was wonderful to see so many places we had walked through. Buen Camino!
Kate. My wife and I have just finished watching your full Camino Video. I walked the same dates as you. Aug 21. - Sept 29th of 2023. We met along the way a couple of times and both times you were with Harry. On afternoon late Harry, you, and I sat on a bench in a town square. Harry and I talked while you edited your videos of the day. I wife really identified with you and was quite complementary of all your work putting this complete video together. To my surprise I am even in your video on day 7 or 8. It was such fun to watch your video, see some of the people I also met along the way (Harry, Christina, Debbie, Janet and Gary from Colorado, Jeanette). It was quite amazing as we watched the video with my itinerary in hand ,pictures I took which contained the date taken, and at the same time watching your movie. Thank you for allowing me to relive my journey and enjoy all your filming at the same time. Some of my family joined me on the Camino also. Three of my adult children walked different parts with me and it was so fun building those memories with them. Linda, my wife and I returned to the Camino and walked from St Jean starting on the 15th of September and slowly walked to Pamplona over a five day period. She is now officially hooked after watching your movie and having a taste of the Camino and wants to return and perhaps complete the journey in maybe three more stages. I wish you all the best and thank you for sharing your journey. Greg Hendrix from Alabama, (U S)
Hey Greg! I remember you and chatting with you in Viana and walking into Logroño! I’m so pleased you got to enjoy the camino with different members of your family and that you have been back with your wife! Blessings to you and your family! 💚
Hi, Kate. I, too, walked the Camino Francés during this time, starting on the 26th and arriving in Santiago de Compostela on the 26th of September. Who knows, we may have bumped into each other.
Great overview of the Camino. My wife and I really enjoyed your journey and it brought back so many memories of our journey in 2024. Looking forward to a new journey in 2025!
You are already ready for another one 😮? I watch this video just to see what to expect. I think I’m not physically prepared for this looong and challenging challenge. Hope by next year I at least make myself able to walk without any discomfort 16 km daily.
Beautiful, just beautiful. You were able to capture the emotions of the trail, spectacular views, and the shared experiences of other pilgrims. Yes, a privilege indeed to be able to do this trek. You have inspired me to do this soon. Thank you.
thank you for posting your Camino video............ the honesty was so genuine, in that of all the video's we've watched in preparation for the Camino Frances next year...yours is at the top of my list !!! your video is so very well done and the scenery is amazing !!!! ..... you have helped in so many positive ways........... same time frame next summer ............ thank you again
Hi Kate! I am really enjoying watching your documentary. I walked in Aug/Sept 2023. I love your commentary and all. I am leisurely taking it all in. Just Wonderful Kate!!
Thank you so much for sharing your journey. I have only watched up to Leon so far, but your story and your lovely way makes me want to walk again soon.
I really enjoyed watching your video and journey along the Camino. What made your video stand out from others I have watched is the footage of your journey that you captured and shared...absolutely spectacular! Some of the music you chose at specific parts of the journey actually brought tears to my eyes - i.e. when you reached Santiago. Thank you for your sharing your journey.
I have seen many Camino videos to get myself "prepared", but this one really has made me laugh and admire your stamina. I've also noticed some (almost) twin geographical facts - Burgos and Samos while in Bulgaria there's Burgas and in Greece Samos.
Really enjoyed watching your camino. I did the Sarria to Santiago camino July/Aug 2024. My first 2 hours on the camino had a singing noisy school trip, aside from that first day that was noisy and crowded, there was enough space for solitude even though I walked with family. I am yet to attempt to edit my video. Instead I enjoyed reliving the journey with other people’s videos! Buen camino!👏🏼👏🏼
thank you for taking us along on your camino… I know how much work it is to make a movie like this, and it’s great to see it through your eyes. buen camino! ☀️
Hi Kate Thankyou so much for your vlog! I’m so excited to do the Camino at some point and you’ve given me a great glimpse into what to expect! So great! Xx
I loved every minute of your film Kate! Thank you for this labor of love. I walked the Frances exactly a year ago today. Your video brought back so many wonderful memories.
Thank you for reminding me of the adventure from SJPP TO fisterra. Perhaps one of the most genuine vids I have seen - and yes it will not be your last - from one who knows. Thank you for sharing Ultreia! Camino Joe
Hi Kate! Thanks for ur impressive documentary. This was ur first? If u make it again, it was the next level! Because of ur experiences on the way. I see my first Francés '22, and yes, after the second this year i think, this is it! Buen Camino
Just watching your video Kate, well done you 👏 I've done 2 caminos short ones. Off again next April doing Porto to Santiago it's so addictive. Would love to do St John later next year. Not sure If l could, l will be 67 then. I book private rooms not sure if l could stay in shared dormitory. Maybe l will be brave enough to do it 😅 working up to it . Buen Camino 😊
I’m sure if you can do a short camino - you can do the Camino Frances. Perhaps you can plan to take some rest days? Private rooms are possible the whole way if you prefer! Buen Camino!
Hi Ken Thanks for watching! I had the brierley book and the moon book at home. I left them at home though to save weight and used the Wise Pilgrim app. After the first few days I played it much more by ear. Other people carried the Brierley book with them and liked having the info to refer to. 😊
@@Kate_Pilgrim thank you I’m enjoying your videos I’m about the same age and it seems lots of your content is what I am seeking. Of course I am watching hours and hours of videos. How did you train? Long walks, diet, hills, and for how long before your Camino? I want to go next May, but I’m scared of failure, and that I’ll walk too slow….help me!!!😊
I trained by doing walks in my local area (I live near Hadrian’s wall so I walked a big part of that in sections as well as other walks). I also did 10-20 min exercise videos for legs and core - UA-cam videos on my tv such as Eleni Fit. Squats and lunges strengthened my legs. There are even walking exercise videos you can do. It’s worth finding some youTube fitness videos that you like and that don’t require any equipment. some people train by walking with a backpack and build up the weight in it each walk. This's is a good idea as it took me over a week to get used to carrying my pack.
@@Kate_Pilgrim I am so inspired. Unfortunately, I only have time to do the Sarria to compostela BUT after watching your video I MUST TAKE FMLA and the Way

what was the timeframe, date-wise, on this trip,(from-to) thank you, awesome movie...doc.
